As always, the coast has been calling me. Today we enjoy a drive from Santa Rosa California to Jenner, a small town on the pacific coast. Our first stop was in Duncans Mills at Gold Coast Coffee. I had a terrific cup of coffee that was roasted on-site. And an equally tasty organic cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was perfect, not too sweet.
We then drove to the tiny village of Jenner. Here I bought lunch at Cafe Aquatica. I didn’t get a coffee though, but their coffee looked and smelled great.
This was an almost perfect day for me. Mostly light rain with cool temperatures and lots of great coffee.

My name is Scott and in 2015, I bought a Ram ProMaster City to live in. Even though I didn’t know much about RV’s and campervans, I set about building the van out as a minivan camper. And in April of 2016, I moved into my minivan full time.
Over the years, I’ve learned you don’t need to have a big skill set to build your own campervan. And that living as a minimalist and utilizing solar power can be a less expensive way to live. I’ve also learned that a minivan can be a very comfortable home.
Please follow along as I document my journey.

Woke up at 3 am and could not immediatly falls again. This video is exactly what I needed. Relaxed narration and rain sounds are just perfect.
Yup! Watching again at 3:30 am… couldn’t sleep. This helps! 🙂
You appear to be really enjoying yourself today, Scott. Love the adventures of Static CamperVan travels. Thank you.
I’m always happiest on a rainy day at the coast
Go west young man! Go west!❤You seem happy and upbeat! 😇🕊🙏🏻 Thanks Scott!
I love overcast rainy or stormy days too. It slows the world down.
Yes, that’s true!
Me too. I love those rain videos you make. I wish that coffee rain video you made could be extended to 10 hrs because it's nice glancing over while doing work and someone's brewing up a good cup, sheltered from the rain. Great video!!
I did make an hour long version of that video, it’s on my second channel

@StaticCamperVan that is gold!! Thankyou, subscribed and liked 👍
That’s my go to calming video!
Hi Scott! In the summer, I used to take a chair off the porch and sit in the warm rain. Loved it, crazy child! Keep trucking friend.
You have a great sense of humor
I wanna get a camper van like yours...it perfect just what I would use
Ima not a envious person but if I was I would envy you, living a simple life is not as simple as I found. I really admire you! Best regards, Albert 🇳🇱
Certainly a very interesting view, I don't mind the rain
Ah, the highlight of my Tuesday morning. Rainy days are cool, but I Love a Rainy Night!
Love rainy days and cinnamon rolls. Enjoy the weather.😊
Thanks Sharon
Your videos make me smile. Thanks!
Thanks Geo
Ha ha, hey Scott I truly enjoy you and the videos you share with us. But from now on I'm going to have something healthy and yummy to eat and a good cup of coffee to drink while enjoying your content. Again you describing and enjoying these items causes me to want to partake.
Thank you Scott again for the positive vibes and views and videos you share with us. 👍
Great scenery love your videos…. The freedom and peace is so fulfilling ❤️🥰
A wine farm is a vineyard
👍🏼
😂✌🏻😂
….and a vineyard is a farm.✌🏼
Thanks, I needed that too! 😅
Oh ha ha. Wine farm is my new name for them😂
Sonoma County Regional Parks has a yearly pass for approximately $50. It covers the parking fee for many of the parks like Doran Beach and Spring Lake Regional Park. Worth it if you make multiple trips to the parks. You're in my favorite stomping grounds, beautiful drives.
Light rain and overcast is music to my ears !
If I remember correctly, probably not, that big rock 21:23 is called Goat Rock. Also, Armstrong Woods, in Guerneville, is one of the best walks through Redwoods.
Hi there scott I'm glad to see you treated yourself with lunch outside of the van. Also, video's when it's raining are my favorite glad you found someplace with less traffic to rest at night
I love the way you get around and show your enjoyment with each place you visit. Keep on safely truckin brother and keep on sharing, thanks!
Gorgeous drive to the beach! What a charming and beautiful area. Been too long since I’ve been up there. And yummy looking cinnamon roll from that coffee place. Thanks for sharing!
I love Sebastopol
The Sonoma County Regional Parks pass is $69 a year. It does come with some membership perks that make it worth it if you are going to spend time in the area. All my family and friends use it regularly
It’s always a pleasure seeing you and going to places in California. I’ve only been in California once so your travels are so informative and interesting to me. All the best from the Pyrenees mountains Spain. 👍🤗🥰
Are you close to puigcerda?
@@businessenlignesolutions I’m three hours away from puigcerda👍👍
Scott's this laid back, easy going kind of guy. I just discovered his channel and really enjoying it. Sobre todo este zona de California, es otro mundo para mí. Saludos de Cantabria.
Peaceful rain, simplicity, beautiful scenery, all that is possible in the modern age and Scott shares it with us! Grateful as always you are safe and sound 🙏
I've been watching your videos on and off for a while now, and I have no idea why--the lifestyle doesn't appeal to me, at all, but they do fascinate me. I always try to say at least a Hail Mary for you. God bless.
Overcast and drizzly is my favorite weather too. Can't wait to make it out that way one day!
As always, safe traveling annnd Thumbs up!😎👍
Hi Scott, my sister lives in Monte Rio the next little town down from Guerneville, so I know the town pretty well. It's a strange mix of wealthy ,second home owners, who come up for the weekends, regular folk and ne'er-do-well drug addicted types, known as river people. That was probably a crazy homeless guy yelling at you. If you cross the large bridge over the Russian river before you get to Jenner, it will take you to beach access of that beach you were looking at and many other beautiful spots !! I'm glad you're enjoying the area !! Thanks for the great videos .
I really enjoy 😊 your adventures videos talk on coffee /meals preps..👍🏻😊👏🏻😎✌🏻🙏🏻
Thanks Ursula. Have a nice evening
😆 enjoyed the Canary yellow bird and Snoopy especialmente in the Red Baron episode.
Totally luv the Countryside
😎 a book and ☕️ aaaaa yes another sensational cartoon series Winnie-the-Pooh 🍯and The Honey Tree 🎬 📽. I gave my 2' peluche to my granddaughter
Ty for a wonderful travelog
I love the rain too and love listening to it, so much so i have a white noise machine with rain sounds on it, sends me to sleep. Good video
Avocado is very filling, at least for me.
I will be driving up the coast from Oceanside to Seattle in June. I will definitely stop for coffee. Thanks for the tour!
That’s a great drive
Fun little adventure today. The beach is always relaxing and a good escape. Some of the wineries are so beautiful. We don't drink at all, but we visited a vineyard with a little castle. It was so fun. As usual, now I am craving a good cup of coffee.
We are going down your way in a few days. Might have to find a bag of good light roast coffee. 😊
A castle would be fun to visit
Nice view🙂
Hi, Scott. Thanks for sharing your joyous drive and visit to the beautiful coast. You should have bought the pizza ;). Until next time!
Really enjoyed this one. Not that I don't enjoy the other ones, but enjoyed this one in particular.
Not really a fan of the rain unless I'm in my cozy warm house laying on the couch tucked under a blanket watching this guy named Scott on TH-cam.❤
Looking good Scott njoy xxx
The ocean pulls at me, too…but I never get to see it. Sometimes I watch the video on your other channel in order to experience it.
Scott have you heard of Anderson Valley? I believe it’s in Sonoma County but I am not 100 percent sure 🤔.
I always seem to come upon it when I’m not looking for it. But if I look 👀 for it I can’t find it.
I am always happy driving through the valley. It’s so beautiful and the vistas of the valley are just so calming. 😊
The place is a bit like Brigadoon, a mythical place that appears out of nowhere and when you leave you don’t know how you got there or if you’ll ever find it again.😮
There’s no real town just a corner gas station with a tiny market and perhaps a coffee spot that you can sit outside for. But the “coffee spot” also could be in my dreams from this mythical place. lol.
And maybe just maybe it’s a little happy place I only dream about. 😀😊
Anderson Valley is Mendocino County. So not far from Sonoma.
❤ Good Morning 🌅🌄 Scott 🌞 Alot of Coffee ☕ is Good on Rainey Day👍Gets you going & helps with Sinus, Allergy! I say its Natural Remedy ! Beautiful Parks,Cafe, Yummy 😋 I live in Ny. & With the Rain and Mountains you need your Coffee ☕🤩🌞🌅 🙏🙌🌟🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Grey seascapes are amazing! Thank you for sharing the scene, and your enjoyment of it -- making me smile. Damn, I did not know you had a second channel. Glad you mentioned it, I will check it out.
Thanks Diana
Hi Scott Have you been to the Barlow in Sebastopol ? if you like , just walk down the street in front of the Wholefoods , keep walking or driving past the Movie Theater and walls ! You’re in the Barlow with shops , coffee and food . Recommend parking in the Community Market parking lot on the end on Rt side . Grace from Santa Rosa Enjoy !
ment Walah ! instead of walls 🙋♀️
I have been to Barlow. The Food Coop there is very nice
That’s great . The C Market has a very, nice buffet . I like to sit outside in the back and have lunch there , when I’m in that town .
Wineries I think, i now live in the Central Valley which grows alot of grapes. I love Sonoma...glad to see the bakery. 🏜️🌱
I liked peppermint Patty and Lucy👍🏽🥰
Goat Rock Beach, my dude. Where the river meets the sea. No paying there.
Thanks
I used to love to walk in the rain. To old now 😅
The rain makes us young
I love Duncan Mills and Guerneville (love that entire area, actually)! I live in the Bay Area (Contra Costa County) and like to spend a couple weekends a year in the Russian River area. Wish I could afford to live there. As always, great video!
Thank you
Great job on the video!
Thanks Gabe
Another fantastic video film .
Thanks Rob
I currently live in the city of Sonoma and adore the scenery here. I love the drive to the coast as it is quite magical. All of the parks in Sonoma County require the fee. As a resident, I can buy an annual pass for $49 as a senior. One of my favorite things about Sonoma County is the plethora of wonderful little quaint towns. Duncan Mills being one of them. Another one is Occidental. You are here at a great time because we've had so much rain, it's so green and gorgeous. For years during the drought, we were depressingly brown. I always feel invigorated when I go to the coast. Never gets old.
Sonoma really is a beautiful place
Yes, Occidental is another great (very small) in the middle of the forest towards the coast. They don’t have a cafe ☕️, they really should.
In fact I declare all of these small towns should have a cafe. ☕️
It’s a nice walk around town and free parking.
If you go further down the road you’ll come into a nice little town called Monte Rio that’s on the river where you can sit on the beach in the woods.
I haven't been there in quite some time. My ex brother in law lives in Jenner😊love the vineyards there.lots of celebs live there. That building looked like a train station.
I’ll try and not hold it against Jenner
Wow I glad you drove all the scenery beautiful there!
i dont know anyone who likes the rainy weather like you Scott....you seems to be really done with hot and sunny desert-weather lol...keep it up! greetings from europe
Remember playing in the rain as a kid? S.cientists say we like the negative ions in rain and storm clouds. You are amusing grape orchard, not nice some guy was uncouth to you. You did look cold tho, made me cold, stay safe and warm, Happy Easter.
Charles Shultz has an interesting biography. He's Minnesota grown but was not recognized by the state, until of course, he became famous. Yup, I'm Minnesota grown myself and they aren't that fond of 'different' people. Sigh.
It just so happened that I always loved and trasured his comics and happened to keep both his last creation and the notice the next day that he had died right after. It's something I treasure.
Scott what a great video that area is so beautiful. That cinnamon roll looked so yummy I wanted to jump through my phone and have one lol. Thanks for sharing I loved this video . Lee 😀
Enjoy your channel so very much.
Hey Thanks
Great scenery.. stay safe..
Thanks Linda
"there is no bad weather, only the wrong clothing" I guess that included shoes too! :D That area does look like your sort of place. Very nice indeed.
Pretty much any coastal area is my kind of place!
Thank you for the coffee talk
Interesting about the open face sandwich l I grew up in Denmark and that is all we ate. Now I live in California and every time I eat a sandwich here I take the top bread off. Just too much bread. lol. I your video. I bought some Yellow bird from Whole Foods and omg it just so good.
Looks like the hair has already grown a 16th of an inch since the cut, but hey...still plenty of hat days ahead😂 Duncan is beautiful. Love the drive and the good food!
Such a beautiful place❤️
Scott ,I Love Winn the Pooh Music 🎶 Its so Beautiful 🤩👍 Someone could take the Music 🎶 & use different Words to make another Beautiful Song ❤️
Thanks for the beautiful drive out to the coast tonight! Bless
Sweet dreams Scott.❤
Beautiful!
You drink a lot of coffee, I always notice the tremors in your voice. I toned down my caffein use as you know and so glad I did, I feel like I returned to earth. I cut decaf. with a little regular, sometimes at a 75/25 mix. Yeah, I have read many YT posts about 'some' Fed. lands not allowing camping anymore. And finding free parking at a park is not always a given anymore. I was also a fan of Linus and his blanket mainly because of his wisdom and that he played the keys. Peppermint Patty in her sandals who always called Charlie Brown 'Sir' was comical and of course Snoopy getting into mischief...I'm jealous of all these bakery shops you visit, take care, keep dry !!

Thanks for the video. I had a long day and was nice to watch and wind down. Good night. Have good memes
I think you should have bought a bag of the medium roast nothing wrong with trying something new
I like "Peanuts" very much, I've known them since I was a child. I like rainy days, of which I have plenty.... Greetings from Glasgow
Looks like a nice place.
It’s fun to collect library cards from different towns and librarians are cool about it if you say you are in town for a few weeks. I use them to Ck out audio books. Listen on my phone.
When I watch you, you calm me.
Thanks Cynthia. That’s a great compliment
Ahhh-that beautiful sound....
The rain or the ocean? Or all of it? Haha
@@StaticCamperVan I can't remember exactly when I popped that comment in...LOL But, I love them both.
The tiny homes in Guerneville are Summer rentals for Johnson's Beach resort. The moved them up out of the flood zone. Also if you go back to Jenner, a couple of miles up Hwy 1 is Jenner Headlands Preserve. Great hiking and the parking is free. It's run by a non-profit, the Wildlands Conservancy.
I like Rose` 🍷
You eat healthy everyday. Coffee is good for you.
I just found ur other channel. Awesome!! You rock Scott!
Can you help me find it?
youtube.com/@staticasmr?si=_8Av30YaGsvW3UYG
Linus and Woodstock were always my favorites.
Did you go tour the museum? I think it’s a lovely place. I’ve been several times (family visits) and it was still very nice to see again and again.
Also did you know about the Charles Schulz skating rink? They do have a small snack bar and cafe inside.
I think I waited on Charles Schulz when I used to work at Denny’s. No coworkers knew who he was. Well whoever I waited on was a very nice gentleman. 😀😊
No, I walked around the outside of the museum and rink but to be honest, I’ve never been a big fan. But it’s a nice property.
Great story!
Rain and coffee, reminds me of home. Great video!!
OMG those views! Thanks for the breath of fresh air! 👍😎🇨🇦🌊☕
Great video. I'm enjoying your video and happiness!!
The ocean looks nice ,and chilly.
Now I've tried light coffee, and even decaf. I'm so surprised how much I do like it.
Have fun in the rain.
Love the tour in Beautiful California!
Best channel on TH-cam! ❤
First thing coffee Always,,,I always have a cup of coffee ready to watch your show,,,
Ha! That dry humour again! 😅
Nothing better then driving or camping in the rain ..i just love it ❤❤
I do love the sound of the rain and driving in the cloudy days ❤thanks for sharing!!!
Excellent video once again! I'm watching it for the second time with my second cup of coffee. Unfortunately, I had to break up the first viewing into portions which always kind of disturbs the vibe. I especially like the closing sequence.
Thanks Millie
I just love listening to you. Seeing where you walk in beautiful parks. And you cook better than me and I have a million pans!
Madonna Estate, J. Lohr, Russian River. As always love your videos.
Wonderful memories! Jenner by the Sea! One of the finest kayaking destinations along coastal California that my hubby and I have visited and enjoyed over the years for decades. Loved your shots from afar of harbor seals, sea lions, and the spot where the Russian River actually empties into the sea at Jenner.
I’d love to visit that town someday! I’d love to share a cup of coffee with you someday.
Beautiful rainy day on the coast . The ocean and nature in general always makes me happy . The vibe your feeling about Guerniville is right , been there and wouldn’t stay there .Glad to hear counter culture decaf is good . I have some in my cupboard now that I haven’t opened yet .
Thanks Kelly
I agree Guernville does have sort of a wary vibe (to me) to it IF you are staying there for longer than a couple of hours.
I believe those “Tiny Homes” might be part of those Tiny Homes businesses that go to special events, such as a Farmer’s Market or camping show to try and sell them to the public.
