I use TerraClean tool and products to clean the entire system in about 1.5 hours. I do not have to remove the valve, I hook in at the temp sensor, remove the egr actuator, and replace it with a thumb screw plate so I can open and close the valve. The system cleans the intake, grid heater and the combustion chamber, egr, egr cooler, turbo, and dpf. Basically everything "tip to tailpipe" Excellent video. My TerraClean system has been life changing, the time and money it saves.
I just took a long piece of electrical wire a higher gauge and it will go through both holes without any problem unplugging the clogs…. I just did it today when I replaced my egr valve, brand new. I’ve replaced high pressure sensors, exhaust back pressure sensor, differential pressure sensor, soaked egr cooler over this past holiday power washed like brand new, even disassembled and cleaned the entire intake, raised those little screens up on the air intake and vacuumed out piles of soot. Oh, the tube(s) connecting the egr cooler to egr valve I removed cleaned it, replaced the rubber hose in the middle connecting both tubes. I’ve never done anything like this before and Im not a mechanic. Once I seen how easy it is, and most importantly learning how my equipment works, plus saving thousands of $$$$ I can’t stop. I’ve been replacing sensors and parts every week. I plan to replace everything on my engine over time…. I want so much to delete the system but I’m not. I’ll just do things the right way…. I do have question to anyone willing help…. 😅 1. Every time I turn on my defrost to high, it shuts off. If I turn it up to 3 it never shuts off. Why??? 2. I have a fault code for my bulk head that never clears. Why??? And how can I fix that problem?? It’s a lot of electrical wiring and fuse boxes all over this truck and it’s kind of intimidating.
The bulk head mil lamp maybe from a faulty fuse i get one every now again and especially after rain or when the humidity is high. I tend to pull and replace the fuses.
I was able to use a thick paper clip through the port on the inside under the EGR valve. After I dug enough junk out, I filled the hole under the sensor with carb cleaner and put air to the port and it blew the rest of it through.
True in some cases, if it would be a cm2250 isb 6.7, the allen key plug is right in the front of intake. Easy to get to, an or can do other methods like using a paper clip to clean the port holes out. As long as this resolved your issue, all is good😁
@@sixinarowreadytotow2785 turbo has been ruled out, well it spins freely with no play. The delta p sensor was completely clogged with soot. Thank you for your reply
I was told at a shop that I needed an intake manifold cleaning, but they were dragging there feet to do the work so I took the truck somewhere else. I don’t think the second spot knew where the intake manifold was on my truck because they were talking about the turbo needed to come off. Now my truck just threw a code SPN-5321 and it has a tough time climbing hills and is spitting black smoke from the exhaust. Is this a repair that can be done on your own or does it need to be done by a professional? I have the parts that are needed
@@sixinarowreadytotow2785 I keep getting all of these codes too intermittently. Just got a new EGR Valve and Turbo and EGR Delta P Sensor last year. Now the light keeps coming on for “EGR Delta Pressure”. Any idea? Cummins ISX15 07 Pete 387

You don't have remove intake to do this job but thank you for your video, it helped a lot !

What code was associated with the repair?
Truck will loose power on hills or rough idling before check engine turns on , I cleaned mine with brake cleaner ...
You just named everything my truck was doing .
My truck is definitely doing this
Would regen light come on ?
By any chance was this job associated with code SPN-5321?
How yo much is correct to charge of this job?
Does the new Differential Pressure Sensor need to be calibrated to the engine? Or can we purchase and just put it on? Thanks for this video 👍🏾
No calibration needed, just install. If port holes ate clean as well.
@@sixinarowreadytotow2785 Awesome! Thank you!
Will this cause black exhaust smoke, red stop engine light and derate?
I would not think so. Sounds more of turbo related issue.

This was my issue….after a new turbo lol
Same here
Is this the cause of code SPN1209 ENGINE EXHAUST PRESSURE 1
Can also affect exhaust gas presure sensor as well!

Do you really need to remove intake?
Yes to access the plug.
Delete all that garbage and never worry about it again😂
