That mid 2010s Madrid team was absolutely dynastic. I've never seen anything like it, and probably never will. Yeah, definitely lucky to have seen it happen.
You know, I never watched the 2006 world cup then but I have since watched France' World Cup (2006) on TH-cam and wow, what a player Zinedine Zidane was
I've never been a fan of Real Madrid, but I don't know if any other team will be able to repeat what they did between 2014-2018. At the same time, my grandpa who was a huge Madrid fan passed away a few years prior to that and I was kinda sad he didn't live to see them win three consecutive CLs.
That is so cool. It would have been amazing if he saw Madrid dominate the CL like in the 50s. Deeply sorry for ur loss. Grandparents are irreplaceable.🥲❤💗
He is not the favorite boy! Never in history you can find people attacking and blaming a 37 years old STRIKER for goalkeeper and defenders mistakes! A club which haven’t won any trophies in 7 years are suddenly bad because of one player!
I started to love football as a kid because of zidane. For a nerd like me, zidane the football player made the sport apealing. He showed me football has layers, even in greatness. As a coach he just cemented that feeling in me. Might be the greatest mind football has born.
Wow what a great bit of content. That Madrid team was absolutely the best squad I've ever seen. As massive Man U supporter it hurts to write that but truth is truth. Well done Sir keep up the fantastic content.
Thank you for this great video you brought so many great memories back this team sounds like a legend and it's actually crazy it happened 5 years ago. This team made me love football every single player in the squad was great I remember when the ucl final was just another day for me because I already we were going to win just imagine what could happen if Ronaldo stayed we could've kept wining it until now because no one could stop us. Sadly I can't see another team being this good this team will be legendary forever it will always be remembered as one of the greatest teams to ever play together if not as the greatest people in the future will become Real Madrid fans just from hearing about this team not even watching it I love our team right now but I think last season was the end of a great era for Real Madrid and now we start a new one where new players will take the reins and bring us greatness.
this team was loaded with great players at each position but what separated them from other teams was their mentality. from an attack like BBC to the midfield with kroos, luka and case, to the back 4 led by a captain like ramos. they played with that confidence that they would win every game and when it came to the champions league they were too locked in to lose. CR7 was dropping world class performance game in and game out in the CL but they also had depth off the bench with guys that they could easily insert and they would produce. it was unfair how good they were during this time. a 3 peat in the biggest club competition was no coincidence.
I’m a Barca fan and a Messi fan but I am so happy that you’re doing this video. Unlike other fans, I respect Real Madrid and this was a goated feat in Football. Again W for making this video! While yes I become a bit sad and mad that this happy. They still did good. But Barca is better tho.

As a Barca fan, I believe the 09-11 team of ours is still the greatest team I’ve ever watched. However, id be a fool not to admit that Zizou’s Madrid from 2016 to 2018 wasn’t the most consistent squad I’ve ever seen. So many years of dominance in Europe.
I watch the world cups and euro cups but I don't really follow club football at all. I really appreciate how you explain things in a way that is easy to understand for people who are trying to learn!
Great video, i think that varane deserves more recognition tho. I remember when madrid was losing an important game ramos played as a striker for the last couple of minutes and carva and marcelo were almost 2 more wingers, specially marcelo. This meant that if case didnt stop all counter attacks early, which he would usually do succesfully, varane had to stop the attack almost entirely by himself. He was the perfect cb to do that as he would often outpace strikers like dortmund aubameyang or mbappe. To this day i still havent seen a defender as quick as him. Him, keylor and carvajal are definately our most underrated players of that generation
I started watching football when I was 16. I fell for Villarreal with Forlán and Riquelme and their tendency to beat giants like Real and Barca despite a 17,000 cap stadium. Then Barca played Chelsea in the 2009 UCL and I, a neutral, was outraged. I started rooting for Real and fell in love with their counterattacking style. 2014 felt like a weight off my shoulders but the threepeat was euphoric. I remember every moment of play while the entire saga was an absolute blur of ecstasy. My father was always a Real fan but never let it show, I didn’t gravitate towards Real until I was an adult and I think our bond was strengthened even more because of it. We had enough joy in those 3 years to last a lifetime. We are now socios and do our best to catch games together. Real give us a lot of joy and I’ll never forget it as long as I live.
The only reason Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi were dubbed better is because of their success while playing for both Spain and Barcelona. Casemiro, Kroos and Modric are equally as good as them.

@quantummeme7655 no team has ever done a 3 peat since the competition was revamped in 1992. Before 1992 only 1 team per country(winner of domestic league was allowed). So this is why winning 3 peat in the modern era might never be repeated.
Zizu will forever be my all time fav football person. Not just player, or coach. His brilliance is what won me the first time I witnessed his greateness and it's what, to this day, makes me call him the GOAT of football. IDAF if Messi and Ronaldo hold the all time records, Zizu is different.
As far as the sports I watch, Real Madrid are the first club to three peat in their biggest competition since the 200-2002 Lakers. That’s INSANE and shows you how difficult it is to three peat in any sport.
Bayern and Ajax three peated if i am not wrong back in the 70s so they are not the only ones but in the modern game they are the only club to have done so Even Barca the best team ever between 2009-2015 Only won 50% of the Champions leagues in that period
The 14/15 season didn't start poorly. In fact, Madrid were league leaders for the first half of the season, they demolished Barcelona in that season's first El Clásico, and as was mentioned in the video, they even went on an unreal winning streak. Things started to fall apart after christmas. Although, reaching the UCL semis and finishing just 2 meager points behind Barcelona in the league maybe shouldn't be seen as a complete collapse. When Ancelotti got sacked after that season, every madridista stood up for him as we felt he'd been treated unfairly by Florentino Pérez. No one really wanted to see him leave, not even the players. And to top it all off, Pérez hired Benítez as Ancelotti's replacement. A manager who started his career at Madrid, but did not really share Real Madrid's true values such as playing attack-minded football. Dark times indeed...
As a madridista for life , there’s nothing like the pressure of winning and playing for Real Madrid , Zidane is a winner and always would be , but the hatred that brings to be at Real Madrid is the only reason why a living person can said that Zidane’s win by luck , specially when you go against Messi Barcelona, every week.
Champions League and Real Madrid are a match made in heaven. At this point they should be a petition that Champions League be renamed after Real Madrid.
probably won't happen again, we probably won't see any team winning 2 in a row for a very long time let alone 3 in a row. Mind you since the competition changed format and renamed to Champions League in 1993, no one has been able to even win 2 in a row until 2017.
Don’t forget that FCB has manipulated the Spanish league for decades. It is proved and court decision latest in 2025. That explains a lot, how a team is able to win more UCLs than leagues
Growing up with Galácticos, I never imagined to see a comparable team. But these guys blew it out of the water. Having a former galáctico Zidane as the manager made it even more legendary
I bit bummed out you didn't mention Zidane's in-game rotation. Seeing Asensio and Vasquez warming to play with Ronaldo up top, you just knew it was game over.
This Real Madrid team were not unstoppable in the Sense of unplayable or too good, they had a very strong team spirit, belief and defense combine that with Prime Ronaldo you have a perfect team. Barcelona while dominating Europe were truly unstoppable until Mourinho arrived, Pep's worst nightmare. Since 2015 To 19 Barcelona were the best team In Europe and you can see that by looking head to head matches with Madrid but they lacked what Real had and have always have, that never say never spirit and iron defense. Barca were always shockingly being knocked out of the UCL remember Barca almost won the La Liga and UCL unbeaten but fell at the last huddle, collapsing at Anfield and loosing to Levante in the last match of the season surely who does that.
The best are the ones who win. Barcelona were humiliated by Roma, Juventus, Bayern, Liverpool, PSG, the best team in the world can't get pummeled 3-0, 4-0 and 8-2 in consecutive years. Barcelona never dominated Europe, they only dominated Madrid for a few seasons
madrid 2017 was probably the best team ever, 2 11's 1 for the la liga and one for the champions. they could beat any other team...most lethal machine. casemiro, modric and kroos are so underrated. then you got iscoooo. CR7 & KB9 best duo, asensio & bale winning games, marcelo probably the best left back ever, and carvajal was amazing. ramos & varane were super. keylor was a champ. take a moment and remember james, lucas, morata and nacho .. each of them contributed the chemistry of that team, the heart of champions and the magical moments will stay with me.

That mid 2010s Madrid team was absolutely dynastic. I've never seen anything like it, and probably never will. Yeah, definitely lucky to have seen it happen.
Zidane had made himself a legend both as a player and manager.
My favorite channel/voice on TH-cam
Talking about my favorite team
Doin my favorite thing they ever did
On CR7 Birthday
Today is a great day! 🔥❤️💯⚽️
You know, I never watched the 2006 world cup then but I have since watched France' World Cup (2006) on TH-cam and wow, what a player Zinedine Zidane was
He was truly something else bro.
His single-handed domination of Brazil is legendary.
This was such a good team. Ronaldo in that team was something else. Make vid on Rashford on his recent heroics. Guy can’t stop scoring
Zidane and his "Tomorrow is a Final" tactic are forever etched in m heart.
I'm sure your grandpa saw all of that having a drink with Di Stefano
It’s INSANE to me how Ronaldo three peating with Real Madrid doesn’t get talked about in regards to his Legacy
He is not the favorite boy!
Never in history you can find people attacking and blaming a 37 years old STRIKER for goalkeeper and defenders mistakes!

I started to love football as a kid because of zidane. For a nerd like me, zidane the football player made the sport apealing. He showed me football has layers, even in greatness. As a coach he just cemented that feeling in me. Might be the greatest mind football has born.
2016/17 Madrid is the greatest football team of all time. Simply phenomenal.
Wow what a great bit of content. That Madrid team was absolutely the best squad I've ever seen. As massive Man U supporter it hurts to write that but truth is truth. Well done Sir keep up the fantastic content.
I think a video on zidane’s playing career would be sick!
Real Madrid and Ronaldo during this period were unstoppable !!!!!!! Amazing viodeo
This team should be in the shout for the greatest team of all time. 3 consecutive champions league is a triumph
Been waiting for a video on Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid team amazing!
Nacho deserves a lot more credit. When Nacho plays I can see Glimpses of our Gladiator. We really miss Ramos especially this season.
this team was loaded with great players at each position but what separated them from other teams was their mentality. from an attack like BBC to the midfield with kroos, luka and case, to the back 4 led by a captain like ramos. they played with that confidence that they would win every game and when it came to the champions league they were too locked in to lose. CR7 was dropping world class performance game in and game out in the CL but they also had depth off the bench with guys that they could easily insert and they would produce. it was unfair how good they were during this time. a 3 peat in the biggest club competition was no coincidence.
Your point on Navas being the most underrated keeper is 100% true. Wish they never sold him
I’m a Barca fan and a Messi fan but I am so happy that you’re doing this video. Unlike other fans, I respect Real Madrid and this was a goated feat in Football. Again W for making this video! While yes I become a bit sad and mad that this happy. They still did good. But Barca is better tho.
Madridista here. Thankyou.
yes barca is better, they also won the same as REAL MADRID. yep! deff
Barca is better? Better than Atletico? Yes, they are. Look at the amount of trophies.
@@esaurodriguez298 according to Transfermarket Barcelona have 104 trophies while Madrid have 97, while their official sites says Real have 125 and Barca have 138. However Wikipedia says Real have 128 and Barca 132. So yes in terms of trophies Barca can be considered better.
@@anthonkenUCL was a fraud when Chelsea lost the final.
It’s crazy that every single year they weren’t touted as the favorite team to win
Haven't been a football fan for long but they give me a 2014 golden state warriors feel. A great player/coach and an unbeatable team.
Noodle-hair Ronaldo would put a photo on social media with Casemiro and Marcelo. It was over before it started!
Good memories!
You just keep getting better and better, keep up the good work!
No team even comes close to this era, what a period that was... Unbelievable!
This is the greatest football video on TH-cam. 👏👏👏
The only reason Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi were dubbed better is because of their success while playing for both Spain and Barcelona. Casemiro, Kroos and Modric are equally as good as them.
Also because they won the treble twice which included a sextuple

I’m so happy I was alive to witness all these wins. Living a dream era that I truly never expected. Even with the team and prestige I never expected Real Madrid to do what they did and least of all with Zidane showing up, I was just hoping him to manage the damage. 😂 what a change he brought
Real Madrid team 2016 to 2018 with Zidane, Ronaldo was unstoppable the team really remind of my high school days🥺🔥🔥
God I miss this era. As a Madridista, this was such a great era. HALA MADRID
This is one Treble that will never be recreated. Thank you Zizou
In a elite class of their own ✨ no team will replicate this again
Winning the 3-peat was so special for Real Madrid. No one in European football will ever repeat that, even Real Madrid.
@QuantumMeme they can
who knows? Benzema is on a ROLE right now and already won once!
@quantummeme7655 no team has ever done a 3 peat since the competition was revamped in 1992. Before 1992 only 1 team per country(winner of domestic league was allowed). So this is why winning 3 peat in the modern era might never be repeated.
@quantummeme7655It was literally a way different format, lol. Zero ball knowledge.
2017 Is the best version of Madrid, truly an Iconic dream team back then

Finally a video acknowledging how great this team was.
Happy Birthday CR7...🐐🐐🐐💗
Man you just summed up everything perfectly. You earned a subscriber here.
A
I hope Real win UCL this season. Ancelotti deserves another one and probably this is his last season with Madrid
I was lucky enough to witness this team in my late teens, truly blessed
3 peat in the CL may never happen again
It will never happen again. Winning 2 in a row is hard
@@Dinoo1234 winning 1 is hard
probably won't happen again, we probably won't see any team winning 2 in a row for a very long time let alone 3 in a row. Mind you since the competition changed format and renamed to Champions League in 1993, no one has been able to even win 2 in a row until 2017.
Well there’s no player like Ronaldo who constantly scores hat tricks in the most important UCL games playing for a top European club
Whenever I think about it, It makes me cry... Such a emotional moments those times was... ❤❤❤
Don’t forget that FCB has manipulated the Spanish league for decades. It is proved and court decision latest in 2025. That explains a lot, how a team is able to win more UCLs than leagues
This was worth every second, thank you for making such an elaborate and creative video on Madrid’s three-peat history!
If Zidanes coaching career boils down to luck than I would like to have his luck 😅
I could've easily watched an hour of this. You paid attention to all the important details and everything was presented flawlessly. Awesome video!
Hat-trick in CL is too much to even think about, yet that team did it.
Growing up with Galácticos, I never imagined to see a comparable team. But these guys blew it out of the water. Having a former galáctico Zidane as the manager made it even more legendary

During that time, Madrid and Barca were equal in El classico
