If they were going after a very aggressive look? They completely nailed it! This thing is just absolutely gorgeous. From what they are saying about specs, its got enough arse to back up that aggressive look.
Its a beautiful car. A whole lotta folks vastly misunderstanding and underestimating this new Mustang. Those of us who know what this car is are pretty stoked about it. Waiting to see it perform.
@richardmodglin3900 - I absolutely agree! I've listened to more than enough Dilberts say it's overpriced and they could build one for half the price! I'll guarantee that not one of them has read any of the information readily available to the public on this car. That is how I learned what has gone into the design, engineering and building of this very serious machine. Then again, I grew up in a generation that understood the value of reading about things instead of guessing, looking at a photo of it, or worse, listening to friends and acquaintances then quoting it as though it was gospel. No wonder why the educational level in this country has declined quite noticeably over the last 20 years or so! Very sad, and quite scary too!
@richardmodglin3900 - The only difference between the whole lotta folks and the rest of us - we know enough to read the facts on the car's design and development while those other clowns simply think up a way to say they don't like it, based on nothing but their feeble mindsets!

@@kirdot2011 - to convert your car to an electronic paddle shift transmission, you would need to purchase said transmission, then redo the electronics in the car to accept the electronic functioning of it, find some paddles and try to custom mate them to your car................. It's a totally impractical transformation that would never return the costs involved in purchasing and installing it.
That Mustang gtd and the new Chevy Corvette Zr1 are gonna make everyother super race car and damn near hyper car beg for mercy! Ford and Chevy really gettin it done, Finally! 1, 2 punch sheesh!
It's really sad that the average guy downplays a special, limited edition, high end version of the car that's already made and has been for 60 years! I well realize and have accepted the fact that this custom built, expensive and unique machine, will never reside in my garage. I got over it and you should too! Of all the "details" now available, there hasn't been one single word that I can find giveing, or even estimating, the car's weight. Lots of quotes about horsepower but nothing whatsoever about weight. Horsepower without weight numbers results in a total inability to guess the car's capability. Not certain as to what Ford is hiding by keeping the weight a total secret. Additionally, an 800+ hp and as a wild guess a 3,200 lb weight, for $320K, is not going to fly against the forthcoming this year of the C8 Corvette ZR1 at 800/850 hp, 3,500 lb, car with a base price at 50% of the GTD.
@johnsloane2983 - Guess we will have to wait until ford announces the weight! Secondly. the GTD was not meant to compete sales wise with the every day, mass produced Corvette. The GTD is like the 3rd generation Ford GT, a limited production, high tech, high end specialty car. The GTD has numerous technical advancements that are not even an option on the Corvette. No comparison between these two cars has any validity at all. 😎
The soul of a Mustang friend, was always in the youth that drove and loved the mustang. Car is out of reach now and when it is gone, it won’t be remembered by the people it was meant for !
What are you talking about? Ford didn't discontinue the other Mustang models. This is a special limited build. The goods on this car don't come cheap anywhere!
And your 3 year old Tesla will need a replacement battery in a few years, and if you own a model S, you're looking at $13,000 - $20,000! I think that places any joke here right onto your head!! Not to mention your Tesla will depreciate like a rock off a cliff, while the GTD will only appreciate. Nice try Tesla boy, but you lose.....Big!
That's why it's the #1 selling sports car in the world. You can't say that about the 4C's...Camaro, Charger, Challenger or Corvette. Laughing about something you know nothing about is just foolishness.

You have a perfect voice for car history. Keep up the great work cheers from Canada 🍻
Please add a factory roll bar like my 69 Gt350 had.
Geesh come on man
Cool video. But Why did they go from a low price muscle car to a 300k hyper car?
They still have the lower models for sale. This is a limited edition car.
Cause they can!

Because ford is full of complete idiots!
That is one beautiful car GTD mustang came in long ways also don't forget it came out in 64 and a half
question: is it possible to install paddle shifters into any car or its specifically just for sports cars?!
It would be extremely expensive to add it to a car not originally designed for it.
@@Loulovesspeed yet its doable?!

Them paddle shifter comes from those f-22 rapter jets they use to use...
It will get you to one gas station ⛽️ to the next gas station ⛽️...lol i wish i was joking..lol
It's really meaningless to even discuss MPG for an ultra high performance vehicle such as the GTD! Just not worthy of any mention at all.

They called it a 64 and a half because it isn’t a true 64 year
