I just saw this film. It blew me away. Everyone acted great, but she was the soul of the film. I am not Japanese, so did not know any of the actors. This is actually the first Japanese film I have seen. After finishing the film, I looked up the actors and was shocked to find that She had died. I don't know what to feel. May her soul rest in peace. I'll be waiting for the rainy season.

Man to think the main lead got married and had a son but the actress takeuchi yuko who played aio mio character passed away in September 2020 makes this song heartbreaking as this cannot happen in real life i always imagine if their son who was born in 2005 feel while watching this movie 😭

15年前、当時遠距離恋愛してました。僕が和歌山県で、彼女は京都。その彼女がこの映画を観に行こうって言うて京都の映画館で見ました。泣きました。この映画のように彼女とは、ずっと一緒にいてあげれずに３年間付き合って別れました。最後はケンカ別れでした。彼女にもっと優しく接してあげれなかった自分を責めて責めて大事な人って失ってから気づくって実感しましたし、彼女と別れてからめっちゃめっちゃ引きずりました。
彼女以上の人は絶対現れない思うくらい引きずりました。
けれど、現在の嫁さんに出会えました。
あなたのそんな思い出が羨ましいです。 音楽を鑑賞してくれてありがとうございます。
