- Hello and welcome to more of my Pokemon Scarlet playthrough on Nintendo Switch! Today, we tackle our 4th gym. If we win, that would officially mark the gyms in this region halfway done!

Body press actually uses the defense of your pokemon as its offensive stat in damage calculation (without taking into account its attack at all), so it would definitely be powerful on necali
It's even stronger than Hammer Arm because of the base stat difference. Plus, its power can be boosted with Iron Defense.
So they changed how disobedience works in this game. It does still apply to traded Pokémon but now it also applies to any Pokémon which is a higher level than your gym badges support WHEN CAUGHT. IE: If your badges can handle Level 40, anything you catch which is 40 or lower, but then goes beyond level 40, will continue to listen to you, but if you catch a 41 or higher, it won't always listen until you get more gym badges. :P
You don't lose STAB on tera, so no need to worry about that. Also, terastallizing into a type you already have boosts it to 2x!
You don't loss your STAB when you Terastilize. If you Terastilize, you get a 2* STAB on a type you already are or a 1.5* boost to a different type while keeping the 1.5* boost on you other type(s).
For Example: Quaquaval Terastilizing to Water will have a 1.5* boost to Fighting and a 2* boost to Water. But Quaquaval Tereastilizing to Dark will keep the 1.5* boost to Water/Fighting while gaining a 1.5* boost to Dark.
Basically adding a type, bringing it up to 2 or 3 types, with each type adding 0.5 to the attack multiplier when matching attack type.
Im so sad for Scykoh when he realizes all the other gyms are gonna be lower level. At least there are still Team Star bases and Titans
That's pretty stupid should have at least made the game to scale with you or if not given you the specific gym order
@@BryanM86 I imagine they would if the game wasnt pushed early, there is a lot of things that shouldve made it into the final release while it didnt

Well he does have a team of level 45s what do you expect 😆
While Counter is a fighting type move and thus can't hit ghost types, it actually does set damage, so type effectiveness will not change how much damage it deals.
Flying type STAB stays after Terastalizing. Your Fighting type STABs on Flam boost by 2x instead of 1.5x, however.
"Monte Verna" is at least closer to the actual name of the place than what I usually hear people say, "Monterna". I didn't think people would struggle to realize that Montenevera has 5 syllables.

17:20 wrong, for this game at least. Your lvl 75 Lucario will not always obey you now.
You do not lose Same Type Attack Bonus by Terrastalizing. You just gain a new one if it's a different type, or boost your current one if it's the same type.
fun fact about this gym challenge, on violet version there's a chance of miraidon's model changing to its shiny version
I actually challenged the gyms completely out of order too- I didn't realise this was intended to be the last one! 😅
Kinda sad that this town is so...empty. It's just the gym building, the gym battle court and the Pokémon center. It would've been better to see an actual town y'know? Like the one back in X and Y.
It's not a town. It's a mountain.

Yes I remember those days. It's because of those videos in particular that I laugh when Scykoh ever talks about himself being "lazy" in other videos. Scykoh is by no means lazy.
yup, one of the first videos I watched from this guy, way before I got a yt account, was How to Beat A Link to the Past in Under Three Minutes, and also the glitchfest for that game.

Picard's Log Day 37
YO! Today is going to be an amazing day packed with action and excitement! I can already tell! Let's get things started, shall we? ^_^
We started things off today by getting the TM for Snowscape while exploring! ^_^
Then we started the Gym challenge for this area.
During the challenge, we also caught a wild Gardevoir! ^_^
Then we went on to challenge the Gym Leader Grusha himself! ^_^
Grusha started things off by sending out his Frosmoth so Scykoh decided to let Flam Terastallize for this fight. ^_^
Grusha then sent out his Beartic so Scykoh let Flam take Round Two! ^_^
Grusha then sent out his Cetitan so Scykoh let me play with this one! ^_^
Grusha then sent out his Altaria so Scykoh let me and Necali take things from here. ^_^
Grusha gave us the TM for Ice Spinner as a prize along with his Gym Badge. ^_^
What will happen tomorrow? ^_^
Nope wild Pokemon don't obey without enough badges I caught a level 50 dodonzo with only 3 badges and it don't listen.
