Giving an item to Flam cuts Acrobatics' power from 110 back down to 55.

There's no level scaling anywhere in the game, the map just has various levels assigned, thus you were very correct when you guessed that Nemona's levels were based on you facing your third gym! ;)
The clue you didn't figure out was the one where the trainer said to go to a dark spot surrounded by stairs. If you would have gone down the stairs right next to where you got the clue and checked the dark gate there, you would have found a piece of paper telling you to make the secret order Fire Blast.
Oh, I just assumed dark meant burnt
Counter has negative priority and Quick Claw only changes the order Pokémon move within their priority bracket, so Quick Claw won't mess with Counter activating.
Can we vote on a replacement for your team of six Pokémon? Don't get me wrong they are all cool and all, but I really want to see the ice/dragon you caught previously
there isn't level scaling, you just so happen to keep on level with the wild pokemon
once you go back to one of the earlier sections you'll be grossly over leveled
all 3 starters have signature moves with a secondary effect
aqua step boosts speed
torch song boosts special attack
flower trick is a guarantied crit
Also I don't know if someone mentioned this but fire starter's signature move (I won't spoil the identity of the final form) is similar to yours, but Sp. Atk instead of Speed, which is good, but the guy is pretty slow so speed would've been nice. The grass starter though. Their signature move is pretty nuts. 70 base power, never misses, always crits; so it's guaranteed 105 base power before calculating damage and ignores defense buffs. I think it's safe to say the devs had a favorite starter.
Maybe they felt the need to give it a really good signature move because they put the least effort into its design. It's so much less complex or unique looking than the other starters.
In a playthrough nothing snowballs as quickly and consistent as Skeledirge imo

Well of course they did! Spriggatitto is the new face of the new pokemon anime with a female protagonist.. and especially if the rumours are true being that she might be ash's daughter
Flam won't learn any new fighting moves naturally, you need to teach it brick break via tm machine
Picard's Log: Day 34 YO! Hello and Merry Christmas everyone! ^_^
Today is going to be amazing! I can already feel it! Let's get things started, shall we?
We started things off today by getting into a pre-Gym warm-up battle against Nemona who started things off by sending out her Rockruff so Scykoh decided to let Flam play with this severely-under-leveled pooch.
Nemona then sent out her Pawmi so Scykoh let Goose :) play with this little furball. ^_^
Nemona then sent out her Crocalor so Scykoh let me play with this fiery foe.
Scykoh then went to start the Gym challenge here by getting into a battle against a Student named Adara who started things off by sending out his Gumshoos so Scykoh decided to let Flam continue playing for now. ^_^
Adara then sent out his Greedent so Scykoh let Flam continue to play.
Scykoh then got into a battle against another Student named Gisela who sent out her Ursaring so Scykoh continued to let Flam play for now.
Then Scykoh got into a battle against another Student named Santiago who sent out his Dunsparce so Scykoh let Flam continue to play.
Scykoh then went and passed his Gym test for the right to battle the Gym Leader Larry. ^_^
Larry started things off by sending out his Komala so Scykoh decided to let Flam play with this marsupial menace. ^_^
Larry then sent out his own Dudunsparce so Scykoh let Flam play with this Goose :) wannabe! ^_^
Larry then sent out his Staraptor so Scykoh let Necali play with this avian adversary! ^_^
As a result of our victory, Scykoh earned that Gym badge! ^_^
What will happen tomorrow?
Quaquaval does indeed learn baton pass. What's great is that its hidden ability is moxie, so its attack will go up with each KO it gets. You could also throw in a swords dance or substitute to pass that as well, but even just knocking out a few with aqua step will get you some nice stat boosts.
every gym and starmobile will be of the type of the gym/hidehout, no matter what the pokemon's actual type is. you figured out the gym thing at the last gym but seem to have forgotten it already.
I mean yeah for Nemona to have a team based on your progression overall makes sense cuz, y'know, she's already a champion. But it's still a really big shame that the levels of the important battles (gym battles, team star battles etc.) doesn't scale up/down with your current level of the team regardless of your progression on said objectives. Kinda defeats the point of doing the three main objectives in whatever order you want as well in my opinion. Weird that it's a big emphasize sort of deal with the games too even though there IS an order you're supposed to follow technically (if you're going by the levels that is).
I don't know if someone told you already but if you press the left button you can change yout look, but not only the clothes, you can also change your face features like eyes and eyebrows
Just so you know; you entirely skipped gym 1 which is west of Mesagosa. You went out east.
You're my fave let's player. I love your positive attitude and how you dont rage when your struggling with a game (the reason I stopped watching Game grumps because Airen annoys me). Your commentary also makes me laugh ❤
LARRY!! Larry is probably my favourite character in the game, except maybe Arven and Clavell. He's such a mood

The one gym town that doesn't have an outdoor battle court, and they just pick the side of the road? That bit doesn't bother me so much though, it's that they didn't change Nemona's lines, so she talks about scouting out the battle court, etc. but then it just flops when they don't use a battle court in Medali.
I am hoping after this you will do Paper Mario 2: The the Thousand Year Door, and Tail Concerto.
Counter has a negative priority so even with the quick claw you cannot go first with it, so quick claw would be a great pick for craftee
Especially when, as another comment already pointed out, giving the quick claw to flam greatly reduced the power of their acrobatics

For whatever reason, double kick has been pretty high power for me in my playthrough

I had to fight Larry at least FOUR times to finally beat him! It was fucking ridiculous. I was so glad to finally defeat him. It was all thanks to my Tinkatuff. All but one of my other Pokémon had been defeated. I almost hated seeing you knock out his Pokémon so easily, no offense.
Merry Christmas scykoh! Enjoying the series so far. And does anyone know what happened to his last randomizer? I know he got a job so did he ever finish that one or not? I don't use Twitter or any of that junk so idk if he said something on that
He didn't continue it bc with his new job it was hard for him to set aside two hours to stream and even more time to edit the highlights video, but he can make normal playthroughs (like this one) bc they're shorter and he doesnt have to stream so the edits are minimal. hope this helps!

No still depends on speed stat

@@clintjb72 ive had it a few times with faster pokemon as i recieved it as iv and ev specs in speed.. but havent found a ditto in no good speed
But i wouldnt bother with counter, as alot of people ive been up against have used special attacks
