He needs a third stage evolution. Give all those route 1 2 stagers from 15 years ago a third stage. Slap a bunch of stats on Bibarel give him an edgy paint coat, and make him viable. Same with Raticate, Mightyena, Watchog, Herdier, Sentriet, and Linoone. Give those old HM dumps some respect, they carried our playthroughs learning the moves we needed but never wanted, like cut, strength, and rock smash.

Good, I’ve been pretty casual, just playing on ladder sometimes since 2022 and I have only made around 2 teams that didn’t have an Incin. (Not including literally all of 2023 and Reg E lol). I need my goat back pls find him

Pissed because literally every Pokemon he acts like he doesn't like he really does like.
I mean considering it was on his team and he didn't win I'm sure he's not the most pleased, but he also started the tournament at 9-0, the best of anyone (18-0 in games, didn't drop a single one), so not that disappointed.

I know the vid is about Incineroar, but what sticks out more to me than Incineroar being absent from the top teams at Worlds this year is the absurdly high usage of Urshifu. Who would have thought that a world where you can't double your HP and use Max Protect (or whatever it is called) to survive/block a normally literally unsurvivable/unblockable move that does apply weakness to it, that you can't reduce the damage with Intimidate/Charm/Baby-Doll Eyes, that can have its damage increased in Rain and with a user with great Attack stat would break the meta?
Move + ability combo is just doo doo dumb.

i just think it’s so crazy that most other ways to get around protect are risky (reading the protect and boosting) or low reward (feint has only 30 BP) where urshifu can just, ignore it

Its mega can be activated as long as it has the one move "world champ difference" this move will hit both opponents and go through protect and one hit ko any pokemon no matter what and has 100 pp and can never miss. It will have stats better than eternamax eternatus. Sounds balanced
No it will get follow me and it will have 120 on both its defence 130 on its attack 55 on its speed and breaking the norm (of megas) gain 30 HP (so 125) and it will have immunity to fake out and it’s ability ultra intimidate will lower both opposing attacks and special attack by 2 stages
2025/2026 are its new Def/SpDef
Incin falling off is dire because the things it has been keeping in check are infinitely more annoying than John Gamefreak's fursona getting high usage
The thing is it still is amazing. It is by far the best intimidate user (Lando and H Arcanine have a place since they’re more offensive) it’s just that there is more intimidate counter play and there were a lot of good ground and fighting types because of Miraidon (most of the top 8 teams had Iron Hands or Lando I which both beat incin). It’s how metas work, incin just happens to be a normal meta Pokemon now.
Never thaugh i would say this but fluttermane actually controlled the meta in such a way that all really good mons of gen9( almost all) under control n allowed a lit bit better
Gamefreak seeing this: why not create an kalonian incineroar. That has an intimidate for special atacker and speed control
Both special and physical attack fairy steel it has a mega form the re activates the attack and special attack drops but it gives it levitate as well and primordial sea and Mold breaker can’t ignore it and even more min maxed stats giving it only 1 base attack and a special fairy fake out that’s 200 base power. And the ability also has disguise and good as gold built in.

Starting Metas are always built around what was good in the previous regulation. So everyone will have Incin counters, then once those counters start getting countered, Incin will be back. our favorite fire-type starter will always be relevant! The heel wrestler always comes back!
“Failed to win its first world championships since it was released” is an INSANE statement from a game with over 1000 individual Pokémon.
We call this Calyrex-Shadow syndrome, where the reason it isnt used is because everyone is overprepared for it
The metagame is currently dominated by high power special attackers. Soon, bulky special defenders will come and the meta will shift back to high power physical attackers before the 2 balance out more. Intimidate is a less than worthless ability when faced with special attackers and defiant Pokémon. Once players pick up on that special defender, Incineroar's return is inevitable. But if a bulky special defender never arrives, we'll be seeing a format fully dominated by special attackers.
All that said, I've already figured out and tested the special defense answer. But I like Archaludon more than Incineroar so I'll keep my mouth shut a while longer :3
Incin has 95/90 special bulk and can viably run assault vest, it IS the special defender

turns out the best way to make Incineroar fall off is just not have the Pokemon that check it in the current meta

Ngl I have been loving the concept of blaziken (somebody else was already using iron fist infernape which was funny to hear in response) because it actually does super good into all of the teams who have been sticking towards early and old meta picks like the bear, mausape a little, and arch, who all lose to it
Incineroar's usefulness has always been tied to the strength if the targets it disrupts, so the lower power level of the current format hurts it, especially since it cant really disrupt the top pokemon of this format, and is a liability into many of the top archetypes. I think that too many of this formats top pokemon, like ursaluna bloodmoon and archaludon, are special attackers for incineroar to do much. Plus there are other options for incins one particularly good match up, psyspam. One pokemon that will help fill its place on teams is grimsnarl, a dark type with screens to reduce damage and thunder wave for speed control, since it does a similar role, while being better in incineroars worst match ups.
I cant wait to be proven wrong when some pokemon we all forgot about because it hard loses to incineroar shows up and takes over the meta, requiring incineroar usage to keep it in check
I feel like the mandatory dark with intimidate could be eviolite hisuian quilfish. It has fat bulk and good speed for taunt and icy wind

There’s also a bunch of new Pokémon and forms as well. Along with certain Pokémon getting moves they never had before or new moves that adds benefits to them. If anything Rillaboom seems to be the replacement of incineroar.

Looking at the top 8 of Worlds it's pretty cool how diverse it is even with some Pokemon commonly used. I don't follow VGC closely so people can correct me but I'm kinda used to it typically being the same 3 or 4 Pokemon plus two flavor teammates of choice.
Sounds to me like Incineroat did it's job too well at the world championship. It eliminated all the restricteds it does beat, so by the time of top cut it was mich kess useful and essentially dead weight
As for the current format, that just seems super hostile to incin in general, also some amount of "mon does better the higher the power level" syndrome I imagine
Well, the times when Incin has been successful before indeed were when there were also legendaries and overall higher power level of the format. I think this might be the first time for official format that Incineroar (after getting Intimidate) will be up against overall less powerful fellas, so it might be a case of the syndrome you mentioned.
