I cannot get enough of this person's performance of Clair de Lune. It's perfect for a late night sitting in my balcony, contemplating the sky. It fills the sky with stars I can't see anymore, hidden away by pollution, for just a little; and in that small, ephemeral moment, I am happy.
Thank you so much for the written commentary throughout the video. It's really so informative to learn about Debussy, since he's one of my favorite composers.
Bon jour. L’utilisation de la gamme pentatonique dans certaines œuvres de Debussy est toujours fascinante, une touche d’orientalité.., propice au voyage… Merci 🙏
I have to practice my inglish!! Thank you so much for the dedicated and beatiful work in this videos, with marvelous composers and their pieces of inspireting music. Greetings from Argentina.
Waw, what a delight listening to this compilation. Though one cannot follow entirely all the Art explanations and knowledge, it is in my view an Added Value to your Classical Music. I am happy that I subscribed your Channel.
Sounds for the piano like never heard before... a palette of rich colour, intricate and complex. Daring tonalities, mesmeric in their qualities... far from the music of Bach and Mozart. Debussy is my second favourite composer after Liszt, and just before Rachmaninoff. Shame they were all dead before one could record them playing their own music and the music of others.
That should read blunder. While I am here, I might as well say my favourite Debussy piece is the sunken cathedral, while his Preludes are what I choose most to listen to.
Instructive and informative video. But why have you ruined it with AI backdrops, which are copies of paintings that are churned out in 20 minutes by hack artists?

Awesome show, Claire de Lune came out just before my grandma was born
He was a genius - well ahead of his time. I love his music - makes me think "jazz"
The music is amazing

Oops just realised my blunded... Rachmaninoff WAS alive when music could be recorded.

Look guys I'm sorry but this is the worst piano player to play Debussy, how bad can the recording be and the accents that don't even match...???
