One the road with Mani in Nepal | Day 3 | WaterAid

In December 2020, after COVID-19 travel restrictions had been lifted, I travelled to the Dolakha district in Nepal to visit the community and see what had been going on during the last 18 months, since my last visit.
Following Karun, a 16-year-old school boy to a water source was a unique experience for me. I got to know how it feels carrying a heavy Gagri (water pot) on my shoulder while walking along a steep, and dangerously rocky path. After the completion of the water scheme, Karun is going to be able to enjoy a more relaxed time without having the struggle or burden of carrying heavy Gagri. I really hope to meet him again when the tap at his home runs with clean water.
