      In Bangladesh, we Hindus, Muslims, and Christians live together in harmony. But, the Indian government and the terrorist factions of the Awami League, which remains in power thanks to India's support, have devised several plots. To thwart this conspiracy, students from colleges and madrassas in Bangladesh stayed up all night guarding Hindu and other religious places of worship. Some conspirators want to create unrest in the country in the name of religion. We, the students, want to say that we are all Bengali. We have united, regardless of religion or caste, to overthrow the tyrannical ruler. We can see that many people are spreading various rumors in the name of religion. We urge you not to believe these 'rumors and false news'.

      @ThePrintIndia As a Bangladeshi, I can see you guys are wrong on so many things; it's unbelivable. Anyway, we don't expect Indian media to be truthful and fact-based. You guys love Hasina so much, it's ridiculous. It's a happy time in Bangladesh for 95% of Bangladeshi people, which includes most Bangladeshi Hindus as well. You guys are promoting Hindus are getting attacked, but that's not true at all. Everyone who is affiliated with Awalmilig is getting attacked by the general public due to the oppression they did for the last 15 years, so only Hindus who were affiliated with Awamilig got attacked just like Muslims who were affiliated with Awamilig got attacked, its not about religion in Bangladesh just like in your coutry, but you guys present it in a way that all Hindus are getting attacked. Always trying to promote an agenda.

    A common question in the comments:
    "Why are Hindu homes being vandalised if there isn't an anti-Hindu sentiment?"
    The same reason Muslim homes were vandalized during the Babri Masjid destruction? Periods of instability have always been fertile ground for minorities being attacked in this subcontinent. It’s despicable in every way, but it has historically been a reality.

    • @fakebatli
      @fakebatli 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

    • @fakebatli
      @fakebatli 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      You are wrong. This symmetry that you seek to establish between Bangladesh and India doesn’t exist.
      Are Muslims in India being attacked because of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh right now? Answer is no. But the opposite happens almost always, e.g. after babri demolition, godhra train burning and riots…

    • @gimmedatthing7829
      @gimmedatthing7829 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@fakebatli Obviously because India is geographically bigger, hence the scale of violence is much larger whenever it occurs, hence much more likely for the instability to spill over to other countries. In any of the regions with sizable Muslim populations, a troubling pattern persists: Islamic radicalism emerges, eroding democratic institutions and marginalizing minorities. This phenomenon is evident in examples like Gaza (Hamas's suppression of dissent), Turkey (Erdogan's authoritarianism), Pakistan (blasphemy laws enabling persecution), Bangladesh (extremists targeting secular bloggers), Iran (theocratic rule stifling opposition), and other Middle Eastern regions, where similar dynamics have devastating consequences.

    Post 1971 war there were pakistani religious parties still present in Bangladesh including many army officers who were pro Pakistan. Hence the coup happened and PM Mujibur Rehman and his family were killed. Pakistan has been using these proxies to create problems for Sheikh Hasina and in the last 10 years China too wanted to woo Bangladesh away from Indian influence.
    The World Bank has credited Sheikh Hasina for bringing 28 million people out of poverty and making Bangladesh a textile power house with exports of $$ 40 billion.
    Would not be surprised if the country slides in to becoming a conservative Islamic nation ...in other words ...a basket case like Pakistan, Afghanistan et al...and another problem neighbour for India.

    Thank you sir for your detailed explanation.
    I'm a Bangladeshi young adult who was born after 2000. I've watched few videos from Indian media outlets on this issue.
    After watching videos of those media outlets as a Bangladeshi I think, if you're an Indian and only watch those videos you would say about Bangladesh in three words. Economic growth, Sheikh Hasina and Jamat Islam.
    I believe it creates a narration along the line "Bangladesh was economically booming. Sheikh Hasina was the prime minister. And Jamat Islam is a pro Pakistan party." I believe you can see how many people might misread the whole situation from this particular narrative. Since Bangladesh consist of 180 millions of people, it will do unjust to people of the country to do an over simplification of the matter.
    As a Bangladeshi young adult I am frustrated to see the same old political play from Bangladesh Awami League(BAL). Bangladesh Nationalist Party(BNP) or Jamat Islam is not better choice either. I believe it has to change. I personally think it is time for the young generation of Bangladesh to decide whether we are better off without these political parties. It will create the need of a new political leadership who will be more in tune with people's heart.
    Lastly thank you again for sharing this video. It was informative, detailed and factual. We need this type of video to shed some light on issues of foreign affairs where we might not know what the other side is going through and their point of view.

Even after Bangladesh independence, so many Hindus migrated to India from Bangladesh ( read the book “ Lajja” by Taslima. So, chances of Hindus living in Bangladesh with dignity are very remote. Let us pray Bengali Muslims protect their Hindu brethren. If Hindus and minorities not protected, India may have to do what Russia does in Ukraine. Sheikh Hasina's biggest mistake was becoming a tyrant dictator. She suppressed media and people's voices, kidnapped and ordered to kill whoever went against her. Although she made some massive developments in Bangladesh, in the end, the rich were getting richer, and the poor were getting poorer. The unemployment rate was surging, and so was the price of daily necessities. The poor and the middle class couldn't afford to live a decent life when they saw some corrupt government officials fled to another country stealing millions of dollars from banks. On top of that, the dollar reserve was at its lowest level and declining rapidly and the currency value was falling against dollars and other currencies dramatically. Thus, import costs increased for oil and other goods.

    Mohd Yunus, an educated economist speaks in support of violence which is quite a surprise for Gandhiji's India. He also says Islamist extremists are also involved. Anti-Hindu sentiments are visible. Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, the three pieces that broke away from India are now in the same situation of jihadis and population explosion. Bangladesh's economy has been performing well and is among the best-performing economies. India should grab the opportunity to take back the textile business and deploy drones at the border. Voter cards should be issued only after directly 3-4 levels of verification by CEC officials. Already about 30 million Bangladeshis are illegally working in India. Students and youth of Bangladesh may rush to India for education, jobs, food, and housing. When Islamist rule is established, the economy will take a back seat, and women and educated youth will also migrate to India.

All the protests in Bangladesh have lead by only students, there wasn’t any party behind. You don't have any idea how brilliantly students have operated. They have assembled whole country in favour of them and against the the fierce dictator. Indians have only known about the good side of sheikh hasina. But we the people have gone through crisis you cannot even imagine. They have looted the country in the name of development. Ever since 1979 (Ziaur Rahman's gov), there has been a systematic push to Islamize the country.
    Many people in India think that Awami League is the only major party that is secular. But the truth is, none of the major parties are Islamist, they have an evil knack of using Islam, the majority religion for trying to create an authoritarian regime every time they came to power.
    Many Indians are familiar with BNP's ties with Jamat. But did you know that BAL coalitioned with Jamat in 1996 to gain populist votes?
    Despite BAL ruling for 15 straight years, Hasina gov ENDED the ongoing case to remove state religion from our constitution in 1988 (added by then dictator Ershad). She ended it IN FAVOR OF keeping state religion.
    Hasina gov. purged an Islamist group called Hefazot in 2013, but since 2016, they have been a coalition as well. She also pandered to their demands of making faith school degrees equivalent to mainstream curriculum and removed literature by Hindu or atheist writers in favor of muslim ones in the textbook.
    There have been 3 major attacks on minorities from 2009-2024. Ramu, Nasirnagar and Comilla. Guess how many perpetrators the Hasina gov. has punished for those crimes. ZERO. Literally. Not even kidding. Allegedly, and many people believe this, is that they themselves did those vandalisms, often to kick minorities from their lands ane grab it. They cause the riots and then visit and rebuild those places to act like they're the savior for minorities.

    2. Did not invite BNG to "Democracy Summits" where even Pak was invited.
    3. Sanctioned various serving and retired high ranking officials of BNG.
    4. US govt continuously questioned the elections in BNG but said nothing about Pak.
    5. Hasina herself talking about a US plan(not named directly) to create a Christian country in NE of India if she doesn't provide them military base. One can ignore it, if you don't believe her. Other people can add more points....

    1) Mahatama Ghandhi was murdered by Terrorists , the Hindu Mahasabha/ RSS Combine . Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was murdered by an anti-india military coup .
    2) Sheikh Hasina called her critiques as Razakars just as Modi called his critiques anti-Indian .
    3) Both Modi and Hasina are autocratic . Modi was cut to size by the people in 2024 Elections. Hasina has been kicked out by the people.

    It is a very messy and complicated situation. It is really difficult to look at this in a black and white manner.
    Sheikh Hasina is an authoritarian for sure. But she is India's friend and is also more secular relative to the Islamists in BNP and Jamaat. All of these things can be true at the same time.
    Bangladeshi masses may have elements who have negative opinions of India, and have bigotry towards Hindu minorities but also have legitimate democratic grievances.
    India's relationship is with the people of Bangladesh. Not just with the Hindu minority or with Awami league party.
    But it is for sure that our interests have been damaged and compromised.

We all have political biases and leanings but Journalism can be done without being too "editorial". I am paying for the Print because I think they are doing a good job.

    Just shows the absurdity of dividing Bengal and India on the basis of religion. Hope these events will lead to eventual reversal of the foolish 1947 partition and result in reunified Bengal and India. That is the only solution to lasting peace in the subcontinent.

    For your information, during the past 16 years of Hasina's tenure, over $120,539,200,000 ($120.5B+) has been laundered, primarily by Members of Parliament and Ministers from the Awami League. The country is currently experiencing the highest inflation and debt in its history and is ranked 30th in terms of corruption, with widespread corruption among government officials and police officers. For the past three elections, citizens have been effectively disenfranchised, with members of Hasina's party casting votes on their behalf, leading to a loss of interest in the electoral process.
    Approximately 2,000 students have been killed, and over 40,000 have been injured, with many still hospitalized. While Hasina's downfall was perhaps justified, she should have faced appropriate punishment rather than fleeing the country.
    As citizens of Bangladesh, we now seek transformative change. We neither desire another corrupt party like the BNP nor a party solely based on religion, such as Jamait Islami, BJP, or others. Instead, we envision an entirely new government led by educated and deserving leaders. With God's will, we are committed to making this vision a reality.

    Need a government like this.
    1. One person can only hold party president or chairperson post for MAXIMUM of 2 times.
    2. Can only hold parliamentary top position for 2 terms.
    3. After that they can never hold any position in any political party
    4. President will be elected by the people, and cannot be affiliated with any party.
    5. President can only run max of 2 terms
    6. President will hold the power of the armed forces and police department of the country
    7. President will also hold the power of dismantling the cabinet if seen unfit.
    8. Cabinet prime ministers and ministers will be selected by the member of parliament.
    9. Cabinet ministers will not be allowed to interfere with the parliament, but they will behold accountable to the parliament headed by the speaker selected by the president.
    If anyone can add suggestion to this .
