I just got these based on your video. I have the 2020 RadRover so the installation was a little different, as the bike has the rear headlight attached to the bike rack holes. So it was kind of tricky trying to screw both of them into the same hole, as the light kept pushing out of the hole. One thing I don't think you mentioned is the panniers have an orange dot design that reflects light, which surprised me. I was approaching the bike after work at night with my bike helmet light on, and it looked like there were orange glowing lights on the bags. 🙂
I wish RAD would sell the light extension cable without their rack. They DON'T. This is why I am no longer buying RAD products. They aren't supporting individual expression. I am also finding better performance from other bike Mfgrs. Rad is a good product just falling behind in my opinion. I have owned 4 RAD bikes over the years, still have 2 Rovers, but my new bikes are not RAD.
@@peacefulprepper2402 Yeah I was wondering about that light extension cable that I saw with their rack. I also complained recently on one of their videos for not making their panniers available. I've been waiting a year. So I ended up going with the Ibera rack and panniers instead. Also I agree on bike performance, although recently they came out with a 2021 version (model 6?) which has hydraulic brakes and "tuned" motor. But I've seen reviews of other bikes which have a lot more torque and "get up and go" speed from a start. The RadRover is very slow from a start, I'm guessing to make the motor last with less strain? (Which I actually would prefer, I don't have another $1600+ laying around for a new bike if the motor fails!)
@@orionxavier6957 I am finding bikes in the $1000 - $1200 range that are just as good as the RAD bikes or better. I think RAD is heading for trouble in the future. Simple things like the light extension cable are bad signs about customer support. I am waiting for Lectric to come out with a Cruiser to compete. I am now waiting for a sub 40LB commuter that will beat the ROVER, lol. RAD is going in the wrong direction.............
@@peacefulprepper2402 Under 40 lbs. would be awesome. I have to haul this 80 lb. bike up 3 flights of stairs, 6 nights a week... I've seen bikes in that price range but they don't have the features or frame I want. Rad sells a mini bike for $1200 but the small wheels don't accommodate snow/ice tires, so it wasn't an option for me. I need a bike that is all season, snow, ice, thunderstorm, etc. One of the first things I did was change the tires to Surly Nates, they are awesome for offroad traction. I hit a little bit of mud in the factory tires and I go flying off the bike, but not with the Surly tires.
@@orionxavier6957 I went with the Rovers for the same reasons. Now I realize 90% of my training does not need the fat tires. My new priorities are weight, speed, range and comfort. The fat tires are a real drag on range.
I believe it is removable. I got the rack because the top day bags from Ibera are also quick release and some of the best on the market in my opinion. Hope this helps
Great basket! Name on Amazon is: HOMEE Folding Rear Bike Basket - Wire Mesh Detachable Front Bag, Handlebar Basket Rear Hanging Bicycle Bag Cargo Rack for Mountain Bike Accessories Storage Frame 1 Pack
Wow! It the full Iberia Paniers , rack, and rack top bag for my Vincent Black Shadow by D J Bikes. I can easily put 3 days groceries in the Iberia bags. Easy on and off. The top bag comes off and carries as easily as a day bag. BTW: I put a gallon of milk plus a lot of other stuff in just one side of the paniera.
The bags and Rack are doing great. I don't use the bags much though. I use my day bag most of the time. There Is a gal that used her bags daily for commuting and she does a great review on youtube as well. She loves these bags.
I am not sure. I just sold my rad wagon and rad city. I should have tried the bag on them. I sold the bikes to a friend so I will look into it for you.
@@geezersgarage8181 That is why I don't like the Rad racks. Rad rack is 80 bucks while mine was 30 with free shipping. The savings paid for my bags when you add rads shipping charge. One they are too expensive. 2 you are limited to Rad products and they are over priced again. This is the only place Rad disappoints me. Bad execution on versatility for the user customization.
I am no sure about the fit on the Rad rack but they fit most bike racks. As for the fenders I did a video on them prior to this one. They were addmotor and they were a lot less than the rad fenders. I got them on Amazon. I would have to watch the video to remember exactly what they were called. I think hey were 29.99 and free shipping. I just added hand gaurs as well and posted the video.
They come with rain covers as well. I find for light rain they do well without the covers. They also make a waterproof set. I would use the covers in the rain to keep the bags looking new. Hope this helps.

Totally agree. The Ibera system is the way to go!
Is the bottom clamp removable? Just wondering if it'll fit my rack which is different from yours.

That's one large bag. Very nice.
TY.
Thanks for the review just ordered two
I hope you like them as much as I do. Thanks for watching.

Great bags. I like the setup and for the price as well. What a value.
Outstanding. I really like the bags as well. I already had a day bag but I will upgrade to the Ibera as well.
Please send em the information of the rear fender, is pretty nice. Thanks!
Great review!
Thanks Dave. Thanks for watching
after an (apparent) year and a half of use, how is the durability holding up? Thanks and great video.

Do the top clips open far enough to fit the rail of the RadRover rack ? They are wider than the Ibera rack.

@@peacefulprepper2402 I took a chance and and ordered the bags but the clips are to small/tight for the Rad rack.

Would those bags fit on the radrover stock rack? Also, are those stock fenders? If not, where did you get those. Thanks.

Justin Rumps they do not fit the RadRover rear rack. Clips are too small.
They look more red than orange on camera, I can't see any orange at all on those bags.
Look at the pictures of them on Amazon. It is orange to my eye and matches the rover well to my eye. Great bags.
