    I have a commuter fat ebike too and I recently got 2 of these Speedster 26x3.5s for $70. on Feebay. I'm sorta hoping my Kenda Krusades 26x4.0s wear out quick so I can install the Vees. I'll prolly miss zizzing down the bike path as it lets walkers know I'm coming, but I'm looking forward to less resistance and more speed.

    After you aired it up it didn't look like the bead was seated evenly all the way around. These thin bike tires have to be massaged into place on both sides all the way around. I blew out my front tube after I aired it down to put slime in and didn't get it seated evenly. On the first ride the tire slipped off the rim and the tube exploded against the fork. I looked at the rear and it was close to doing the same. I am a bit paranoid about it now but make sure my tires are perfectly even now.

    • @stefanwozherelibero866
      @stefanwozherelibero866 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same issue here. My rear tire blew after it started rubbing against the fork. No matter how many times I try I can't get the tube to fit in evenly. Every left turn I get this rubbery swooshing sounds. Too much friction causes it to heat up and blow out. I'm going back to my Kenda stock tires.

      The co2 did t fill the tires all the way. I did notice when I rode right after install. I actually removed the air down to 10psi and made sure to set the bead, then pumped up to 31 psi. It’s been solid ever since.

      Don't bother with the 3XL. I just tried them on the 26x4 tires on my RadRover and couldn't get them to stay centered, so I sent them back to Amazon. If I decide to give it another shot, I'll go with 4XL as was used in this video. They seem to definitely stay put when installing.

      @@skip123davis Cool. In the Rad Owners group on Facebook, a member said he taped the liner to the partially inflated tube to make installation even easier. I'd recommend lightly taping it with painter's tape so it will break it's hold once in place and you complete inflation.

    • @willandjesisample5401

      Les Colobong my battery is lasting much longer. On a normal ride to work (5.1 miles) at 3 pas the battery would go down two bars. Now the battery only goes down, one bar. Top speed is reached much faster. The tires are pumped up at 31 lbs. harder tire and faster roll. The tires stick to the road pretty great in turns as well.

      They are amazing tyres. I fitted them to my 20 inch FIIDO M1 PRO. As all I use my bike for is commuting. And straight away my top speed went from 26MPH to nearly 30MPH on a slight downhill part of my route. And my range pure throttle increased from 21 miles to over 24 miles. On a fully charged battery. Just awesome. Acceleration from a standstill too was awesome. Very zippy.

      Kenda Juggernaut tires have horrible rolling resistance to begin with so these tires are a huge improvement in all areas such as speed, acceleration and range.

    • @willandjesisample5401
      @willandjesisample5401  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wheels were a big difference from the stock wheels. They grip better and I can run them with a little higher PSI. This created less resistance and better speed and battery life. The tires are grippy when turning, that may be the under steering you are inquiring about. When I run full speed, it’s less noticeable on turns. Just like anything new. You may need to adjust your riding style until you get comfortable with the tires.

    Did the tire liners affect ride quality?

    • @willandjesisample5401
      @willandjesisample5401  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the liners aren't centered correctly they can cause a little wobble. Since this video was posted, Rad Power bikes included a tire on the 2019 Rad Rover that has a "Liner" built into the tire. Its from Kenda(spell?), the stock tire Rad sells with the bikes. I'm very interested to see how they work.

    Sooo if you only ride on pavement, why would you fat a fat bike that has heavy, expensive tires with high rolling resistance and more likely to get flats? I love fat bikes but they are really for off-road so I am confused

    • @willandjesisample5401
      @willandjesisample5401  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, I wanted a e- bike that would help me with my horrible bad knees. The Rad Power bike offers me a great option for a guy who is heavy like me, that helps with my age, bad knees and weight. I mainly use my bike to commute to work. It’s cheaper than having a second car, paying insurance and fuel.
      My work also pays me 2$ a day to ride a bike to work. The knobby tires that came with my bike were great, just not what I needed for my commute. It’s. It everyone’s preferred bike. I really like the fat tire option.
