New subscriber! You folks are a very cute and down to earth couple. Love the energy! I've had this rack and panniers system for almost 8 months now. Great budget gear. I use them weekly for my grocery runs. Plan starting short tours in the spring, once I finish building up my recently purchased '96 TREK 720. I look forward to going the rest of your videos. Be well and keep riding!
Hello Rick!! Welcome to the Channel, and thank you for your kind words and encouragement! We love these panniers except for the fact that they are not waterproof. They have carried our stuff on many tours and overnights! We would love to hear more about your adventures in the near future. Good luck building up your new to you Trek! I built up my bike to be exactly what I wanted from a do-it-all workhorse. It's more of a jack of most trades, though.. Hope you enjoy the Channel and see you on the Trail!!
They are a great starting point for anyone lookingto get into bike touring. There are better out there but at this price point you cant go wrong. If I may ask, what did you upgrade to and how well have they worked out?
If you don't mind me asking, what was the price point for your Apidura Expedition bags? I only ask because we are preparing a long-term touring setup and are looking for high-quality waterproof panniers. These are a great starting option though and have lasted well for the two years we have had them. The rain and conditions we experienced on longer duration tours tell us we need waterproof panniers.
Hello Carlos, I do recommend these panniers, especially at the price point. We have done many long trips and overnights with them. They are great for a week to two-week trip and will probably serve well for longer. We have been using them for a little over two years now. They do come with a water-resistant cover that can be a little tricky to put on quickly. For like a cross country trip or months this will get you started on a budget but if you can I would recommend the waterproof version which we are considering upgrading to for our future Transamerica trip.
I’ve probably said this before, but I love how much fun you two have together.
Thank you Tif!! We really do have fun together. Cristina really is my better half!

I used these as my daily commuting bags and they worked. Thanks for the review.

@@RooseveltsRide I upgraded to Arkel Orcas and love them for both commuting and touring.
Thank you! We are looking for great all round panniers for a future cross-country touring setup.
I use Apidura Expedition bags, love it so far. Thanks for showing other options. 👍
