There is an exquisite and absolutely lovely "Lady of Shalott" expression about this video. Notice how Julia exibits near shell shock on her countenance as the rose petals, like all of us, fall. Then she rests against her confinement and resignation takes over. Because, ultimately, none of us can grab a rose without at some point being stuck by its thorns (of which the song describes). This masterpiece is about inevitability, and I feel as though in our modern society we have been shortchanged by popular entertainment. This is art for which I am greateful.
