A big difference with the nose dive! And less body roll. Great bike for an all rounder. 🏍 Plenty of power and not to heavy for a global travel bike! 🌍🌎🌏
Nice video. My transalp has had the rear shock re valved and its fairly plush. But I'm struggling with a bit of a "bounce" feeling from the front on real smooth ashphalt. Through town on very smooth pavement its really annoying. I find it pretty good everywhere else to be fair. Ive got rear set quite soft and front quite stiff on the preload. Wondering whether I tweak that, upgrade the front shocks, or get rid of the karoo street tyres. Or is it just how these style of bikes are!
Thanks for the review Jimmy. Can you comment on the high speed compression? Low speed demands are handled well imo on stock suspension but the suspension is too slow to adapt to impacts which gives it that harshness.
No worries mate, The bike feels a little bit more twitchy in the smallest bumps but hitting big holes at speed there’s no bottoming out and that wallowing feeling, just taught and ready to attack it’s not as comfy for just being lazy if that makes sense
@JimmyHutchison I think I get you but I want that lazy comfort. I find the suspension too slow on those hits. Hey, I'm in Newcastle so if you are ever in the area contact me if you like. I have exact same bike.
100kg here …that fork dive can be negated by rear brake application …how taller is bike now with suspension work done ? How tall are you ? Your inseam ? Important info for your viewers I have the taller screen , bloody hot above 30 degrees ..but standing up helps a lot …clean air and oh so cool.
