@thecitizens4573 Xavi and Iniesta are like two peas in a pod. There was no separating them. There was no way the likes of Silva, Santi, or in later years Mata could've broken that duopoly. They were just that good individually, and together, they were awesome

Dude David Silva was soooooo good that even in a fucking video game when they rated him something like 86 to iniesta or xavis like 92 rating. And even with the higher stats. Somehow just using him youd be hard pressed to bench him even in a fucking video game. A video game boys.
A set of scripts and letters and numbers all to set a code to how these sticks move onna screen but also that they move similar to their real world counterpart.
And even with these set of codes and rules already in place. And with other players technically rated higher. Still when you used silva you just couldnt stop using him he was sooo good. Just in the fucking video game so imagine how these managers felt for the real world version.
Especially a manager like Vicent del bosque that coached that generation of talent with spain. To say he literally had cesc, santi and juan mata all benched because he was just too good. Its not only that he was soo good. Its that he could be pleasing to watch. But he was also extremely hard to get the ball off him. It didnt matter if he got the ball from half line. From the center. From the right or from deep on the left. It felt like he could make something happen just like messi in Barca.
David silva was just as crucial if not even more. Cause without him. Mancity would just not have had the creativity in the middle.
They would have had to deal with short passes exactly what barca is doing right now. Hoping that someone can beat a few enemy players. And yet all they can do is pass short passes because the players just woupdnt have that sort of creative vision. Yaya was effective because he could rely on silva to carry the ball. Aguero was effective because he could rely on silva.
Literally the whole team relied on silva to carry the ball through the middle of the pitch with two people man marking him. Cause ive luterally seen him do that just like iniesta. In fact ive seen him get away from more challeneges then even iniesta. I cant prove it with any statistics. I just know. I watched all of these guys religiously.
That spanish squad was soooo beautiful to watch. It was strange that a huge junk of the team was barca and real madrid and yet David silva felt like one of those outside pieces(because of his club) that just came in and fit perfectly. He was so versatile. He might not have been a big guy. But he was still as tough as any other big guy. He showed a lot of tenacity as well as silky smooth skill

Spain is probably God's favorite footballing nation. What was the chance that all once-in-a-lifetime talents would be born in the same era, all of them hitting their primes almost together, and also represent the same nation? It's the sorta luck that would make a lottery-winner a billionaire, doesn't happen that often. And yet, it did in case of Spain. Prime Spain was simply something else.

No wonder even Xavi calls David Silva as one of greatest player Spain has produced, even Pep Guardiola said the same. Iniesta said he chooses David Silva as the best footballer (if Messi name is not allowed to be taken).
Problem was FC Barcelona & Real Madrid never realised when he was in Spain (La Liga)
