It was a good awareness regarding the plantation.
Myself a nativer based in Vellore district, whereas still now 3 to 4 no of trees has been planted in our agriculture land.
After certain time period all those plants were being theft by outsiders.
After this our interest towards planting these sandle trees itself gone away.

People around us use to talk " Don't plant these trees" we couldn't safe gaurd it.
2 Decades ago one of the family was very poor in my village, they use to cut sandle trees in the forest and sell it illegally and now they became rich in that village.
Also liquor preparation has been done locally near forest mountain areas, by the locallers,
Still the activity haven't been stopped yet.
At certain period alot of plastic covers being dropped by the drunkers in our agri land itself.
Even deers being killed inside Deep forest, we use to hear the news like that but no official news.
During night times Deers from the forest use to enter our agri land to have water and all.
Weekly thrice in the mid night we can see those deers surely during Summer
Forest cows, Pigs, Fox etc. I'll seen during night times.
I seen Mountain Snake also.
