If I remember right the 1965 GTO had the factory exhaust pipes located behind the rear tires (with 2 tips on each exhaust pipe) and not under the rear bumper. My friend bought a brand new GTO in 1965 and that goat would eat Hi-Po Mustangs all day long.

Gorgeous car! But having a cigarette lighter and ashtrays all around is almost... sacrilegious.
