- This is the craziest old car junkyard I have ever seen! There is so many desirable cars that have been abandoned that it is overwhelming. It makes you wonder how one person can collect so many vehicles. Let us know which ride is your favorite!
- ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
You know you're older when you can remember seeing these exact types of cars on the road everyday.
Yes, and when some of these cars are the "new" cars that replaced the other ones that you saw on the road every day
Also when you could visit actual car junkyards in your area, before the EPA shut most of them down.
I would love to see this type of vehicles on the road again, way more style, a lot easier to work on, I miss those days👍
Past mid sixties the American cars were white bread. I used to drive cars like the ones here to the wrecking yard to get parts for the classic beauties of the fifties. Mid sixties my uncle quit the wrecking yard business and started crushing up huge collections of cars all over Texas. Made a lot more money but it was heartbreaking to see the old cars turned into refrigerators. Toyota makes the best cars ever for the average person but they will be left behind by Tesla and BYD.
Old farts like me and the technology of my generation are past the sell by date.
@@danielking2944 I love this comment sir
At least this guy didn't scrap and drop any of these vehicles in a metal shredder. More classic vehicles to be restored. Whether a junk yard or a place for a hoarder, this place is priceless.
Yeah. But its sickening how easily cars got wasted back in the day. These are alot easier to work on than modern stuff too.
all garbage
@@wileecoyote5749 I'm afraid so. 😞
@wileecoyote5749 Like the old saying goes, one man's trash is another man's restoration dream come true. Vehicles like these keep father's and son's, daughters, and mothers bonded together and out of trouble and jail.
When he dies they'll go to the shredder
Watching these guys and some of the cars they can't identify...I realize....how old i am! Wonderful experience just walking through a junkyard like this. Great video.
Yeah make's me feel old , here in Australia chasing car parts is getting harder , even my 96 ute , drove some of these cars in 78 in America, 👍
yep yep. Saw most of those cars growing uo in the 60's
They couldn't identify half of them without looking at badges.
I was picking my favorites as the video went. The GTX, the Coronet 440, the T/A. Then you showed the Apache wrecker, and I had to rethink everything.
I abandoned my old AMC Concord on a lady's farm near Rolla about 35 years ago. Glad to see it and know where it ended up.....
For real you saw your car?!?
WOW! I see alot of good vehicles that can be saved and restored
Agreed
I agree ,too bad no one will ,probably more than likely would cost over $70 K to restore one
Some are far gone, some was a good shape when first camecin that place and the idiot let to rot
Please visit optometrist
Very ambitious comment.
This is a hoarder not a junk yard. Shame the person let all these classics rot.
This was in fact a junkyard years ago has been out of business for years but they use to sale parts
If the "Hoarders" you call them didnt buy them they would have been crushed decades ago.
Their not even wrecked, that tree sapp and shade from trees in the summer protected a lot of them, it’s the fact you can’t move them out!
@maineiacman they're gonna get crushed anyway lol
If they are stupid and just call some smooth brained scrapper to come deal with them they will. They need to have an auction for each car, many will be scrap price but stuff like the old crew cab dodges and that Opal wont be.
That X/19 was a Fiat…they had a one piece roof that came off like a vette and they were actually built on a frame and handled like go cart…really fun cars…
I had one in 1979 to 1986. Cornered like it was on rails. Not fast but so low to the ground you thought it was fast. Loved it. And it taught me how to fix cars. Involuntarily!! Lol
No, it was a Bertone. I had one. The bodies were always built by Bertone. They sold the bodies, to Fiat, who installed drivetrains, and sold them, under the Fiat name. When Fiat decided to end production, Bertone wasn't ready to end it, so instead, bought Fiat drivetrains, and built the cars themselves, and they were sold as Bertones. My title, said Bertone, not Fiat.
@@garyszewc3339 I had a blue one with a black top..can’t remember what the title said..
Lots of commas 😂@@garyszewc3339
@@coryransdell6000my mom had one same colors, it had the Bertone badge but we called it the fiat. Really fun little car.
This is my dream, idk why but this is so cozy and peaceful to me
My dream as well! I wish I could buy the entire property
Some say, to this day, Curt is still looking for his son.
hiding currently....
This is the best junk yard I ever did see, the owner must of been a 'Tuna' packer in his other life!
These junkyards have been sitting idle for many years it’s crazy that they are all closing up crushing all these cars especially when the younger generation today has a passion for these classic cars and bringing them all back to life again
I am 24 and wish I could save them all! I’m sure a lot would fire up with little work
@@RealSteelFabricationsI miss the good o days
I’m needing a 1980sf 150 step bed, do you ever see them out there in these salvage yards.
What are you talking about? Millennials wont even get their drivers licenses anymore. The more sophisticated ones just ride E-bikes.
1980 to 1986 Ford flareside pickup bed
If I had the time, tools, and money I’d pick out a few gems.
Same here
Same here
This just makes my cars are more rare and worth more than before.
It's crazy how someone can have so much and not willing to share with anyone else. They'll prefer for everything to turn to rust instead. of bringing someone's dream to life. With a car that they've been looking for for years. 😢😢 so sad
i use to think the same until some kid told me to sell him my old golf mk4 and i just can't let go of the damn thing so now i understand why places like this exist
@@theforestlizard223 one car two cars even five cars I understand I love cars an trucks also but we talking about a few hundred that's a whole different story. Ten guys put together couldn't restore all those vehicles That's definitely someone that's hoarding cars 😂 😂 😂
After the owner passes, some greedy heirs will crush the whole thing and sell the property, so they can sit on their lazy asses and play video games the rest of their life
@@theforestlizard223 why did you have 100s of cars rotting away or just the one?
@@yeahright302 I only have like 5 cars but they all work , the golf i just take for a ride like 2 days a year
Crazy that these all were brand new and people had a special moment when they went to the dealer and bought them brand new.Excited to show their friends and family the new vehicle, now just rusting away for decades .
Must have been nice to be able to afford a new vehicle, I couldn't imagine
That Chevy Wrecker at the end. Holy cow.
I bet there’s a shit load of kick ass station wagons
I could spend days at that place, just pack some lunch and have a good time looking at all the cool rides👍🇺🇲
Can I join
Your knowledge of these old cars is as impressive as this collection itself. Good stuff man
Yeah right
Cool salvage yard. I would say, sitting in the mud, pretty much all the car's undersides would be rotted.
14:15 a rare appearance by Felix The Cat, very popular American cartoon character back in the day. The charger was my favorite, seeing some numbers on it would of been cool.
Felix the cat , the wonderful wonderful cat! Whenever you get in a fix he'll help you out with his bag of tricks! (Chorus) lol ty for the memory!
Felix goes way back! Last year they found the Lexington lost in battle several miles deep, on one of the aircraft perfectly preserved on the cowling was Felix the cat👍
Absolutely incredible yard; thanks for sharing it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah but where is it?
@@christopherwalton5445 exactly where the hell is this
because i think i found it but im not sure
I can’t believe you don’t know Fiat X19!! The Bertone on the side is the designer.
This makes me sick. Evidently a car hoarder who started parking these vehicles sometime in late 60s early 70s. Over 100 acres is huge!
Did dose make me sick too
It's a salvage yard, it's not hoarding.
You’re right shame on him for saving all theses from derby’s and road salt
That's a business opportunity. I would love to see someone buy the whole place or just work a deal with the owner. You could employ a few people, build a warehouse and ship parts all over the world for years.
You know you're a car guy when you say "oh shit look at that" to every car in this video
A lot of personal car farms tend to have a lot of one variety (Dodge, Chevy, VW, trucks, muscle cars, etc) but this guy welcomed every type 4 wheel vehicle!
Largest Junkyard left in the United States - That would be either New York City or Chicago.
What are they called?
@@RealSteelFabrications
Demoncratically controlled hell holes…🙄🤷♂️lol
I think you mean landfill or dump not junkyard
@@RealSteelFabricationsnew york, and chicago
I'm a junkyard junkie and this video is better than any drug, ever.......................WTF...................
Facts
Yep, grew up hunting parts in places like this. They don't exist in Va anymore. Would love to walk a few more as a bucket list item as kidney failure is taking me out.
Im lucky to still have my 70 Torino . Looking for a hideaway headlight grille . Brother had a gremlin x and a 73 charger . Nextdoor neighbor had an opel manta ! Neighbor down the street had the old toronado . Sister had a 70 nova . Had a 76 F 100 and a 74 F350 . So many great memories . I absolutely love old junkyards ! Thanks for sharing !
I think that I would have wanted the Trans Am the most but only if it was already restored and no tree growing out of its hood! Fun video, thanks for sharing it.
The General Lee Charger is a ˋ70. 1 year only for The chrome Band Surround
Those rails on that pickup looks like old hospital bed side rails .
Dude, this like being a kid again walking around junkyards with my dad.
One could look at this as not a junkyard but instead a car museum
With all these different tags on these cars and trucks this was a wrecker service storage yard that accumulated what the owners didn't claim or pick up. Or gave the vehicle up for the tow bill.
My favorite was the late 60 Olds Tornado. it was fun to see the old Datsun pickup too.
Good choices
Favorite car was the cloned general lee. Loved looking around with you, thank you for taking us along. Cheers . 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Those old 4 door dodge pickups are awesome 👌
We agree! We Cummins swapped one on the channel
Awesome place i could spend days walking around it. Saw so many I'd like to pull out i lost track but the two 71/72 Charger's really should be saved in my opinion. Thanks for sharing
i grew up in a yard like this in indiana no longer there of coarse but there was cars and trucks from the 20s to the 90s it was a childs dream come true
I know of two places in Vermont like this. Pretty cool to wander around there.
Alot of nice old cars out there that was one awesome junkyard
I agree
definitely cool to see .tons of oldies .thanks again
You bet
Very nice, so many cool oldies that could be rebuilt but won't being so packed in .

Really enjoyed the video you done a good job, Thank you young Man would love to see more.
Appreciate it! We usually do more Will it Run and build style videos but every once in a while we mix it up.
I love it. Need to see more junkyards like this. Teach young people to be resourceful and pick parts to keep their cars running. Learn engineering and recycling. Builds skills and teaches mechanical aptitude. Might make the next nasa rocker builder in USA. Or inventor
I like the old station wagons & the charger.
5:08 - Fiat X1/9, Bartone is the designer of the car
Sweet ride!
Bertone
If only those cars could talk. Lol
I wish I could save some of those old mopars.
Love all those old cars if yall go out there again see if you can spot a Ford Mustang 1960's
You should do a request challenge through here. A commenter or subscriber challenges you to find a particular old car in this yard, odds are you'd surprise them.
Seems like a private collection more than a junkyard, so many of those cars were completely intact with very valuable parts; which would have been stripped long ago if they were available. Favorite car? The '70 Charger has universal appeal, as do the other Mopar muscle cars. But I like anything old and cool, so it's an impossible choice.
Actually had a Plymouth pickup in there. Crazy 🤪
I saw a real life "tow mater" from cars movie. Awesome.
Sure was!
That's because he wants a million dollars a car.
Thanks for the video. Where is the yard located? I'm needing some parts for a 61 Caddy and needing a pass door and some trim. I'd appreciate any information.
My late Uncle had an Opel, I was in it with him, and he was a large man, not tall, but very round, seeing that Opel brought back memories!
Glad to hear!
Loved your walkthru
Appreciate it!
there 1k-2k on that 70s charger grill there :) So even you "cant" get these out from there, still tons of useable/valuable parts.
Man this is awesome!
Glad you think so!
Where is this place at.
Somewhere in Missouri based on the many Missouri plates
Yes, more please! I want to see the oldest plate ... back 40 crawl! Cheers!
Probably the 60’s, but that’s just a guess
@@RealSteelFabrications Yeah it is...I saw 40s and 50s, but you guys were concentrating on the crap Dodges.
Opel Kadeytt very rare nowadays
It's irritating when people don't know they're cars
Kool stuff 😎 thanks for sharing with us
Thanks for watching!
Looking at all these cars and trucks. Kind of a Drag what were driving today.
My favorite was the 64 Cadillac and the 73 Torino. Could use some small parts on the 73 Torino !
That's a gold mine of cars 😮
It sure is

Yes. Sir.
Where is it?
I need parts off that 72 mercury colony park!
HI from Ireland ... Amazing video... thanks for sharing... what state is this located in?
More for Datsun pickup, courier Ford, luvs Chevy, please🙌🏽, nice vid.
And Hilux obviusly🙌🏽
Lovely cars, ❤❤❤ sadly to see all those wonderful cars rustying away,.....I really hope they will be saved and fixed, they all need to go out on the road again, ....I love old cars & motorcycles, ❤❤❤ best regards, Ted from Sweden.
I know where a few hidden yards are that are similar to this but not quite as large and you have access to the cars
There used to be a place like that not too far from me. Nowhere near that big, but it was a treasure trove of older cars, and I found a fair bit of parts there over the years. Even bought a radiator hose once off a junk car to replace the one I'd blown on the way there!
Unfortunately, the last time I went it'd been mostly cleaned out. Someone had bought it, discovered the yard owed money to all kinds of places, and had to crush everything to get enough pay the debts. (Or so the counterman said.)
That’s a shame! Hopefully the same thing doesn’t happen to this one
I’d LOVE to go there wow!
Where is this place at I would love to go there just to see some of the unusual stuff that's there
There's some nice pieces there 👍
That yellow international in the intro looks SWEET
Favorite car was the Charger ( which was a 70) I wasn't sure until I saw the grill because the 69-70 taillights the same and the 69 is my dream car, someday 🤔
First-gen, pre-facelift Escort at 5:16. I’ve loved the Mercury version for a shade over three decades now, particularly the 1982 base model 2-door in medium blue metallic with matching interior. No bodyside trim, an open space between the door and quarter window and sometimes no console at all in the manuals, making for a very clean look in my opinion.
As for that Dodge A-van, back in the late 80s when I was in grade 2, there was a dark blue Fargo-badged example (the “R” missing from the front) parked long term on the grass just beyond a driveway near my school, also full of junk.
Lots of amazing cars waiting for a possible second chance of life
Hopefully they get one!
Wow a chevrolet citation, those are a rare sight these days.
A lot of rare sights
Tjhey were junk when they were new. A lot fo these cars are right where they belong.
@1940limited I disagree. I think it's all perspective to be honest.
Sister had a new, loaded 1980 V6. Water pump went out with less than 2K miles. Had to pull the engine to replace it. I was instantly not a fan. These old Mopar 4 door pick ups though...👌
@1223baddad I have a 1982 Citation "X-11" that I bought from an estate sale as just a backup car. Had no idea what it was or the history of it I had never seen one in my life. The car only had 30k miles on it. All I had to do was replace the fuel pump and ignition module and it fired right up. Been running great. I now have over 100k miles on it with no issues. Maybe I just got a particularly good one though.
I DO need the grill on the '70 Charger! The front bumper, too! I see a lot of Missouri plates and I'm in Oklahoma. Easy striking distance! Would he sell to me?
That's a cool place. You might be able to get one of sweptlines out one piece a time.
Lucky I got a piece of one of them
Pretty cool stuff out there. I liked seeing the TA and that yellow 79 Z28. I mess with 78-81 Z28s 10 years ago they were 1500 bucks now 20k for a nice one..
Crazy. I have been to many junkyards, they are really meant to provide parts and projects. Makes me wonder what is the point of hoarding this and not making use of it? Seems like such a waste.
There was a yard like this where I'm at in Michigan. The guy passed away and they sold it to a scrap yard company and it all got crushed. So many classics gone.
I hope it wasnt the one up by greenville
Hillards?
My favorite one is the z28
I’m amazed no one taking them to fix them and clean them up
I like the tree growing out of the firebird hood. 😊 11:11
Came for the cars stayed for the music 👍
Appreciate it!
Wonder where in Missouri this junk yard is located ,as many cars with missouri plates on them you can tell its in Mo ,I live in the KC area and would love to take a tour if only i knew where this located
Oh wow really cool place wish I could get some of those Vegas and square body trucks
I like all those MOPARS out there!!, what year Vehicle do you need that grill for?
79 Ramcharger
They can all come out of there. All you gotta do is start with the first one in the way start making a road LOL awesome video not many places left in America like this anymore.
Someone needs to buy this place and start working on separating what is completely ruined with what can be fixed restored and start working on it little by a little and work your way into the yard a lot of these cars that can be saved
I wish I could afford it!
That blue 73 Mazda REPU is crazy rare and desirable
Too bad it's not a rotary pickup
i love that 71 opel manta my father had a blue one i have a 74 duster i love seeing them out there
Same here I also have a 1974 Plymouth duster with the 318 in it! I bought it when I was 15 years old and I'm 36 now..
