What happens when over 200 Porsche Spyder enthusiasts gather for the annual ‘Big One’ meeting of Craig’s Spyder Club?
Well, some incredible driving roads, friendly banter, mutual appreciation of Porsche’s best handling roadster, and in this week’s episode, two old donkeys muddling about and choosing their best specced cars.
Yes - it’s a return to the channel for CarFriend® Tom, and some light-hearted Porsche Spyder banter, as we choose our favourite cars at the Beaulieu National Motor Museum.

Another of life’s questions answered. “About 130”. That’s how many Porsches you need to assemble to find an interior that is less than 98% black.

Snatched one up a few months ago, low mileage 718 in chalk with 18 way seats, black wheels, manual and red heritage interior. Like the army green. Car gets to much attention now to get those wild colors on them.

Man the boxter spyder is just the perfect porsche. 911s are too big and too fast for normal life.

Best Spyder spec is a GTS 4.0. Best for UK weather!

Oak green and burnt orange, very special colors, too bad they are PDK, takes some of the fun out of driving these machines
Definitely on board with your choices. Probably would have liked Tom’s if I was in my 70s. Old Jaguar colours just don’t do it for me on a car like this.

The Amethyst and Oak Green are my favourites with the Racing Green close behind. The Oak Green would've looked better with either tan or brown leather interior and either Silver or Satin Aurum alloys IMO.👍👍

Wonderful cars chaps, thank you for bringing them to us. The Spyder is rare - I wasn't aware that they are so many in UK - right hand drive! Awesome. I had one myself, so wonderful to drive. They will be gone soon - only EV is coming.
My wife and I have a Spyder that would have easily won, but we're in the states. Very cool meeting.

The Miami Blue is my fav 2nd the orange or Tangerine color and indeed the comfort seats, 3rd the green but i take any of them its in my book the best looking Porsche at the moment. OMG what’s not to like?
I don't even look when it comes to Porsche, then it speaks volumes about those who like Porsche that they are stuck with the old and don't like changes. Therefore, you still have the basic profile of the bodywork that arrived in 1962. Boring people drive Porsches with only bad-sounding tail engines that are either a 4a or 6a. When you see a Porsche, you just want to puke on it because they are so ugly and sound terrible.
Thanks, I know, to Ferrari, which doesn't look at all today like the cars looked like in 1962 and their engines sound wonderful, since there aren't as many of each model compared to Porsche, it's better. The Lamporghini sounds wonderful to hear the engines and has a bolder design. Porsche's designer can't draw other models, no matter what you put in numbers and letters, they don't differ much..@@leonardoluc6362
