Thank goodness for your videos on the ScanSnap ix1600! Instructions are lacking the box it came in. I used to have a S1500 ScanSnap which had very detailed instructions. Not much came in my box this week for my ix1600. I did not want to break this little plastic receipt guide and so your video was VERY HELPFUL! Thank you!
You are most welcome. It is true that there are not as many instruction manuals coming with products these days. There are also a lot of plastic pieces that come with things that a person may need to bend but sometimes it is not clear how much it can be bent or what may actually break it. I am glad to know that this video helped you with that. :-)
Thanks Sean, mine was not seated properly and the door was not closing. I installed the guide correctly on the bottom but did not see there were also two parts that needed to be locked in as well on the upper section.
I just upgraded from the iX500 to the iX1600, mainly because of the "multi user" capability advertised (with color coding and everything). My family all use and love the 500, but we have to share the same profiles which is a pain, so I was excited for this upgrade. I can't for the life of me, however, figure out how to add multiple users. The documentation is sparse, and I think it's implying that I need to connect multiple computers to make this happen. Have you set up multiple users? Could you do a video on this?
Hi Jack. That's for all of that information. Sure. I will add that video idea to my list. Did you see this webpage on the manufacturer website? www.pfu.ricoh.com/imaging/downloads/manual/ss_webhelp/en/help/webhelp/topic/fu_env_01.html
Magnets would be more durable than the plastic insertion points. The tips and the slot are going to wear down or snap with repeated insertions and removals.
Very straightforward- thanks!
Thank you, Lisa! 😊 I’m glad you found it straightforward.

You are most welcome. Thanks for watching. 😊
Very helpful! Many thanks!
You're very welcome David. Thank you. 😊👍
Scanning receipts is pretty smart too. My priorities would be so of the photos I have though
Thank you for that. You're entered into the giveaway. Good luck! 😊

Looks good, but why is it so expensive in Canada? 🇨🇦
The first thing I’d scan with a new iX1600 is photos to be able to get them organized. They are everywhere right now.
Thank you for that. You're entered into the giveaway. Good luck! 😊
