I need to understand if I should buy the iX1600 Receipt Edition or the Premium. I don't have quickbooks, but do want to scan receipts. Is the iX1600 Receipt and Premium the same except the receipts go to quickbooks for the receipt version? Is the premium better because it comes with a 4 year warranty? I want to make the right purchase and appreciate your help. Thanks.
Hi Kristie. Yes. You have it right. The Receipt Edition can connect to QuickBooks, so if you are not using QuickBooks, then that is not the model for you. Every model of the iX1600 scans receipts and comes with a receipt guide. The Premium Edition does indeed come with a 4-year warranty (amzn.to/3CA7F4p), whereas the Standard Edition has a more limited warranty (amzn.to/42BiygQ). Depending on how much scanning you are doing, you may not need the warranty because the iX1600 units are incredibly reliable. However, for the extra money, if you want to have a warranty, and if it makes sense for your use (like if you are writing it off as a business expense anyway and using it heavily for work), then you may want to go with the Premium Edition. However, if you use the links I sent above, it looks like on Amazon you can get the Premium Edition for the same price as the Standard Edition (it is showing as $399.99 for me). I hope this helps. 😊
Will it work with Zoho books?
can you scan directly to usb stick without using pc or mac
Hi Oliver! 👋 The ScanSnap iX1600 doesn’t support direct scanning to a USB stick. It needs to be connected to a PC, Mac, or mobile device to process scans. Let me know if you have any other questions. 😊
When you scan & upload a receipt to QBO does it OCR the GST amount as well? is there a field for GST?
I have ScanSnap ix1500. Can I purchase and download the Receipt software for my ix1500?
I have two years' worth of Scanned items. I want to move all of the files in PDF format to a Flash Drive. It's saved on the Microsoft Cloud. From the iX1600, I can move the Files one by one into my HP Windows computer and then transfer them to a flash drive. which could take hours. Is there a faster way to move them? I want to place the flash drive in a safe location as a backup.
Is it not possible to set up scanning to QBO with an ix1500 or even a standard ix1600? I'm not seeing the option anywhere. Please don't tell me I'll have to purchase the new "Receipt Edition" scanner to make this happen. I've been scanning receipts for years with various ScanSnaps (I've been using them for 10 years). It's all about the software, not the hardware, right? Why am I not seeing QBO as a Scan To option?
same problem.... it is only software based but clearly the manufacture cares more about sales
@@Marvin-p8k Right? And obviously @SeanDillman didn't care to respond to my question or anyone else's.
i don't see your affricates link??
What about people who want to make prints of receipts? Especially long receipts? My long receipts are narrow enough where 3 would fit onto a single print but as far as I know, with ScanSnap my long receipt will require 3 pages and the receipt only takes up the center of each page.
