    Hey Colin...I like your retrospective. I played Timmy and co-created the show with Dina Fraboni and James Murray. Phil was the show's story editor and he also played Mr. Wisdom. Glad you liked our show!! The series will be streaming on the new Peacock network so now you can watch all the episodes. Jimini Biblets!! Tell all your friends!!!!

      Really excited to hear you liked the video! I'm sorry for not crediting you, Dina, and James properly--for some reason, I was convinced Phil was the creator and didn't bother to double-check. Glad to know the series will have a proper home on streaming! I'll be sure to spread the word! And thanks again for the wonderful show!

      Omg me too! I never saw it except on that trailer. I remember it sang something like "it's a wonderful day to laugh and play and be with my friends!" I loved the land before time though.

      It wasn't the sing along VHS but Land before Time 2 VHS ad that we saw this on. I was just at my parents with my brother and asking if my niece was still too young for the Land Before Time (she loves dinosaurs and is almost two) or if it is too scary still. He said they tried but she just didn't seem interested. My dad said it may be too scary anyway and I suggested the sequals since they got more kid friendly immediately out the door. My dad asked if they were relaly much more soft and I mentioned rhe second one had an ad for Timmy the Tooth before it played as evidence. My dad asked "What the Hell is Timmy the Tooth?! " I wish I had seen this and just played it for him rather than trying to describe it myself. Lol

    Back in elementary school, I had this class called “Library” once a week. If the librarian wasn’t there for the day, the substitute would pop this into the VHS player to keep us quiet. The only episode I can remember watching is something about the character Sydney needing glasses cause he only had one eye. Apparently the Rice Crispy elves appeared in the tapes and announced Timmy from what I recall.

    • @matthewweatherford6566

      I'm glad there are studios introducing today's preschoolers to old shows and not just rebooting them to be like other generic kids shows. Some classic 90s Nick Jr shows have recently been remastered and added to Paramount+ in case today's parents wanna introduce their kids to Eureeka's Castle or Little Bear or other classics and don't think kids have to stick to their own generation. I'd rather little kids watch Timmy the Tooth than CoComelon or Baby Shark. Heck, I'd rather them watch Barney or Teletubbies (especially the old version) than Baby Shark or CoComelon.

    I had the VHS and I was obsessed with it, I remember going to the store with my mom while I was in PRESCHOOL and it was in a bin of discounted VHS tapes and I cried and begged until she bought it for me, this was probably in 2003-2004 I was only about 4-5 years old. Holy crap

      One time, my parents reported to my therapist about my habit of telling lies. She then took me to the library and told me I could pick out a tape. A few minutes later, she took it away from me and said she lied. I remember having a meltdown in the car on the way home.

    I always enjoy your wonderful retrospectives. This one is very well written and upbeat! Timmy the Tooth is a wonderful character. He is very sweet and adorable. I was a Barney fan growing up and there’s something still special to me. Barney isn’t for everyone and Timmy isn’t for everyone, but for those of us who they connect to the most, they are always special to us and that’s what truly counts!

    If you're looking to take that trip back to Flossmore Valley (as well as the '90s), then I have good news! Universal has added this series to their streaming platform, Peacock! The episodes are not in release order and it's not labeled as "The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth", but I wouldn't be posting this comment if I was lying. Just search Timmy the Tooth.

  • @Dinobolt1
    @Dinobolt1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I remember this from when I was a kid and I liked it, but eventually grew out of it. I do agree with you, it's not like there's no creativity to the series it's just missing something. For me, what really made me stop liking it was when I developed a dislike for shows where most of the stories happen in the characters' imaginations. I'm not saying it can't be fun to set stories in an imaginary setting every once in a while (I really like the Ducktales episode Scroogerello which is a gender-flipped Cinderella story), but to do it all or even most of the time just makes the series much less interesting to me. It's like, if the stories aren't actually happening then there are no stakes. And for series like this about just one guy imagining things then how can I get involved with the other characters if I'm just seeing illusions of them most of the time? Timmy the Tooth, Doug, Bobby's World Muppet Babies are shows I used to like as a kid but can't enjoy as an adult because of this mindset of mine. To all who like or love these series, that's great and I'm happy for you. But personally I'd infinitely rather watch a show where the stories are actually happening to the characters.
    Regardless of my opinion you did an excellent job on this video.
