    After more than 3 years with Inokim scooters, thanks to your video, the first time in my life I know how properly adjust the brakes. Thank you!

    You can charge it overnight, its perfectly safe thanks to the specific BMS type.
    Considering it has a 9 - 11 hour charge time, if users are to charge through the day, they'll barely get to use it.
    Inokim scooters have all safety features required within the battery to stop overcharging, overheating, imbalance of cells and more.

    Good. Comprehensive. My garage is yoinks from my house. Can I not leave the charger on overnight? All my other electric moving devices don’t seem to have a problem with this.

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! It's not recommended to leave anything charging overnight. While it may not be necessarily dangerous, it degrades long term battery life.

    • @hs7921
      @hs7921 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I bought a 24 hour timer, and hooked it up to the charger. I set it for 6 hours if the battery is empty. So the power switches off after 6 hours. I use shorter times for shorter charges.@@UrbanMachina

      @@hs7921 great idea!

    Elaborate "Do not leave the scooter charging overnight". What's gonna happen?

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The worst that could happen is a battery fire, if you're charging a scooter with inferior battery quality. Leaving a scooter charging for longer than it should will also degrade your battery and reduces the overall life.

    • @karmalakas
      @karmalakas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UrbanMachina I think your knowledge on the matter is way outdated. First of all, Inokim doesn't use no-name Chinese cells - there's practically zero chance to catch fire. Unless of course you put in home made battery pack. Also, chargers these days aren't so dumb it would keep charging already charged battery on full power. And even if charger is so dumb, or you again use some no-name Chinese one, there's a good chance software won't let you degrade the battery in such case.

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@karmalakas I was referring to lithium ion batteries in general. The INOKIM batteries are superior, I agree. Battery fires do happen (read the news). This is advice that we give to prevent something from ever happening and is a good practice in general.

    • @karmalakas
      @karmalakas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UrbanMachina, in general - maybe yes, but when it takes to charge a battery more than 12 hours (OX Super, probably more w/ OXO) and batteries, as you said, are superior, then no point to scare users. Of course, better not to leave for a week on a cord and go for vacation...

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@karmalakas I don't think we are scaring users by saying "do not leave scooter charging unattended". As the INOKIM distributor for Canada, we have seen riders of all kinds and you'll be surprised, someone actually left a scooter charging and went for a vacation. True story. We believe we are held to a higher responsibility because we represent the INOKIM brand in our market, and it is better to be safe than sorry.

  • @moksastudio9962
    @moksastudio9962 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Due to the fact that there is hardly any point on Inokim OXO where a "reliable" lock can fit to secure the scooter could you list a few alternatives how to secure it when It s out of sight, please.

    • @Electrum
      @Electrum 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      One of the main reasons I went for the OX and not the OXXO hahaha

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We recommend locking it to the steering post and keeping as close to the securing bike rack as much as possible so that it can't be slipped out. Definitely a good idea to also use an anti theft alarm system as a secondary theft deterrent.

  • @michaelcollins3251
    @michaelcollins3251 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The locking mechanism on the stem seems quite week to me that it needs a strap to keep it in place. Could it potentially collapse whilst in use?!

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael, the strap is a fail safe device that prevents accidental contact that would engage the folding lever. It's been great so far!

    How do you remove the rear wheel assembly when there is a wire at the center of the nut?
    Thank you!

    • @UrbanMachina
      @UrbanMachina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every OX and OXO should be shipped with a socket wrench that has a cut out. This helps with removing the rear bolt. If you're looking to do a tire or tube change, there is no need to remove the rear wheel from the suspension fork.

    • @AL-gm5sw

      @@UrbanMachina Thank you for that clarification.
      In your Inokim OX Startup Video, we failed to see properly the tool that came with the unit. Our bad...
      That's why when we watched your Inokim OX general maintenance video several times, we thought you were using a specialized tool with the notch for the wire. 😊
