    I got mine two days ago and am extremely pleased. I've had two Ecoreco's and the Imax S-1, and the Ox blows them out of the water. Build quality is superb, ride is smooth and silent, handling is sure and safe. Gobbles up hills with ease. I was debating for weeks whether to get this or the Zero 10X, and I think I made the right choice.

    Guess what arrived on my doorstep just the other day!? And yes you were right! I’m impressed.

      hoodholmes wow, It’s very good!! I even went the long way round 16.5 mile and only dropped 2 bar from the battery meter and was flat out at 28mph most of the way, That journey takes 1hr 5mins on the skateboard but did it on the scoot in just 45 😁
      And I can’t believe how quite it is, almost silent!!!
      I’ve been asking myself ytf did they call it such a stupid name like ox but after riding it today I’ve come to the conclusion it’s because it feels as strong as an OX 💪🏻, mind you!...... it’s as chuffin heavy as one too 😂
      I can totally see why you’d want to trade in the light 2 but in no way does the ox take anything away from the light! That 28kg of the ox is no joke! Unless you’re built like a brick shit house then don’t even try to convince yourself it’ll be easy to carry 😂 no way!!! Scooters such as the light 2 are a far better method of transport if weight is an issue. That’s not so much directed at you but others who may be thinking about one 👍🏻 I already know your minds made up lol 🏎💨🛴💨

      @@TheMuddatrucker hey can i ask where you are based? I got to try the ox recently where i live in London and also have a 15 mile commute. The only reason im hesitant is the unclear legal situation. Would love to know what your experience has been like.

      tomble womble I’m in Sheffield South York’s. To be honest I’ve never had a problem yet, although very little of my commutes are on road, I’m lucky enough to have the Pennine Trail on my doorstep which I can use to commute easily to most place I need to be.
      Can’t ever see an adult who’s using one of these in a sensible manner getting stopped by police! I’ve got the Evolve GT carbon skateboard too which I actually use a lot more than the ox, and on the few occasions I do use the roads and have been seen by the police they’ve never stopped me, I’m sure if they did though it’d just be to have nosey and ask questions as you don’t see many decent toys like these around here. I’d also say just be cautious when travelling above 15mph as that will for sure attract unwanted attention mainly from pissed off cyclist who can’t keep up with you but more importantly you don’t want the police seeing you traveling above 15mph as that the legal U.K. limit for ebike, so as a last resort either act dumb and say you thought it was same as an ebike or turn & burn and outrun them, after all you have no reg number so be quick and they won’t stand a chance 👍🏻😁

    Wow good timing! Was my first time today seeing this scooter so I emailed the shop in London, they just got back to me now so I’ll be giving them a call soon, also just watched your light 2 video...... nice to see such detailed video from the uk, I can’t believe how long it’s taking these things to catch on here as opposed to other countries!
    I have the evolve gt carbon skate board with all terrain wheels and I love it but the Mrs needs something a little easier to ride, I first thought about the light 2 but now I’ve seen this my mind is made up, as long as they can get me one before the 27th July they have my order!!
    I’ll be sure to tell them I saw it from you 👍🏻

    • @hoodholmes
      @hoodholmes  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      TheMuddatrucker You wont be dissspointed by the light 2 or the Ox but if it is for the mrs the light 2 would be the way to go unless she is a speed freak and doesnt mind how powerful it is. You can limit the speed which is good, I wouldnt do 29mph in public areas so if you limited to 20-22mph that will be perfect for her. If it is to be used for commuting and to be taken on tube and bus the Light 2 is much easier to carry. I will be getting the Ox in the future for sure, it is so quick its like riding a magic carpet.

      Also just placed my order today for the OX so hopefully they’ll be no delays, fingers crossed.

    Good review man, so here is my dilemma. It's either the OX or the ZERO 10x. I am sure u know all about them but I wonder how much of acceleration I would miss out if I choose OX over 10x? I highly doubt the watts are correct in this industry but dual motor vs single? Hit me up what you think would be the best choice :)

    • @hoodholmes
      @hoodholmes  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 10x will have a faster acceleration but the build quality overall on the Ox is far greater quality. Once the Ox hits around 15mph that's where the acceleration gets good. The OXO smashes them both, the OXO is a powerful beast. I have the OX and the OXO and I stick with Inokim for their reliability and build quality.

      I've got the same problem, the OX-R(dual motor, goes 55 km/u and 100 km in 1 battery charge) or the Dualtron Thunder(85 km/u and 100 km in 1 battery charge).The price diff is about 1000€ but i think the Thunder is way more better.But this OX comes very near to the Dualtron and i don't need that fast speed i guess, 55 km/u is fine for me,the OX is a very nice thing, good suspension and fast, good mileage and steering but visually i like more the Thunder, i think i have to make a trip to Paris were the sell the 2 and have a good look and test ride over there ;) Anyway they are making some nice quality scooters for us nowadays, it's a luxury that we can choose between good models!I've got a Ninebot ES4 for daily commute, good thing(30 km/u and 45 km autonomy)but no good suspension and at the long run i definitely would buy now something with good suspension for safety and comfort.

      Samus The Ginger Gamer Where on this planet are you?? Uk by any chance? If so don’t even bother trying to get hold of a dualtron! They’re all in Singapore and shipping cost about 600-800 SGD! And takes around 26,000 light years! Seriously though if you’re in the uk you be better off trying to find a cheap flight to Singapore and collecting yourself.

    What does the throttle lever feel like? I’ve been riding Lime Scooters around Brisbane and find their throttle levers to be jerky and dangerous. There is no natural resistance to my thumb pressure. They cause sudden bursts of acceleration at the slightest touch. I want speed, but I want control as well.

    • @hoodholmes
      @hoodholmes  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lime scooters are a dangerous cheap scooter. Inokim are very high quality with great control. The thumb throttle is very easy to use and you get a great feeling of tension and the right amount of resistance to control your speed.

    Couple of questions.
    1. I work in London, would i be ok riding this on cycle paths etc? Do i need to register it as a moped and have any kind of licence?
    2. Does it have a water resistance rating?
    3. What cells do they use?

      @hoodholmes  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      tomble womble Hi. Love the name by the way 😁. I can answer question 3 for definite. Battery details: Lithium Ion, 57.6v, 13-20.8 A/h

    • @hoodholmes
      @hoodholmes  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      tomble womble Question 2. I am 99.9% sure it is water resistent like the Inokim Light 2, as this is a more superior machine and is built for off road and dirt. To be sure I would contact Inokim UK direct. As for question 1 this is something I cant answer. I live outside london down on south coast and I personally ride on cycle pathx if availsble, roads round back streets where I know there is not much traffic and pavements if I really have to but if I see pedestrians I cut motor (pull back brake) and scoot past like normal push scooter. I personally think the police do not mind as long as you arent acting like an idiot and risking hurting other people. Been past police many times and havent had any issues. I know peopld in London who use the cycle paths on the road without issue, I used them today on my trip 😁. Hope this all helps, I don't work for Inokim, just a very happy customer 🙂

    • @TheMuddatrucker
      @TheMuddatrucker 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Might be wrong but I’m pretty sure at the moment it’s actually against the law to use any of these electric scooters on the pavement or roads in the uk, e bikes are allowed but they CANT be throttle only, they have to be pedal assist and the motor which I think can be a max 250w can only assist you upto 15.5mph.
      But, like hoodholmes was saying ......... a full grown adult making a commute at sensible speeds probably isn’t going to attract the attention of the cops.
      The law will change to something more reasonable once people start buying more of them.
