Please have them add ea sports ufc 5 as a specific game with ai based on it. I know tons of streamers who would make way more clips if an ai understood what it was needing to clip for them.
They basically just support Multiplayer Shooter. For your problem when Chat or any window top is out of reach: put the mouse over the app in the taskbar, press Alt+Space, happy moving. You're welcome. 😉

Okay but also most of his videos are just one long ad for tech or equipment he’s found… With a smaller ad for Streambeats somewhere in it. I am not complaining, I just wanted to contribute. lol.
Tip for when your top part of the window goes somewhere unreachable, just press the windows key + any arrow key to move the window back into view. Also, doing shift + win + left or right arrow lets you move windows between different monitors.
Best thing I can think of for the "Top of the Window is hidden" issue, is to make sure the window is selected and hit Windows + left, down, right, or up, and it'll snap it to that direction. Should be able to move the window with the mouse then!
Having the TH-cam inside obs will be so helpful for those like me who don't have high performance PC's. It's going to be a lot nicer not needing so many things open at once taking up resources. Super pumped about this. The chat window being top to bottom also helps a ton. I actually used to just use my phone as a "third monitor" for chat, but now I might not need to.
If ever again you have a window getting stuck "above" the screen (so you can't possibly click on the top of the window to move it) you can do WIN+Left/Right Arrow (which will stick the window to the next available edge of the screen) OR WIN+Shift+Left/Right Arrow (which will move the window to another screen, this is useful for games & stuff too)
FINALLY some better TH-cam streaming tools... Man it was a hassle to have a browser open too for the dashboard so I really appreciate OBS finally taking those matters into their own hands and fix it. Also, full height docks is SUCH a big win for them too, my docks do not look weird anymore and I can have a much smoother experience with chat interaction! Good stuff all around and thanks a bunch for the video run down of the new update!
I recently found the RT something something something section where I’m able to launch YT from a dock window. Will definitely have to look at adding the YT chat to that. Thank you. And for the record the ad was actually something I could use.
I just want Obs to have The one feature Streamlabs has that I really like. and thats the ability to tell what parts of your overlay appear on stream, Recording, or both.
If you are using Studio mode you should be able to see this in the preview window. One thing I did like about OBS30 is that it allows me to make changes in the preview without affecting the Program (live view) until I click on the transition.
I love OBS updates. I need to check my plugins to make sure they allow work with the new update, but pretty pumped for the nice, full screen chats! That will be awesome!
Harris and everyone else who might want to know, if your windows window is somewhere where you cant move it or forced fullscreen you can use win+left/right arrow key to force the programm to align with your screen or even switch screens on multi monitor setups.
Pretty sure if the chat opened up above your screen preventing you from being able to move it you could shift+right click the icon on your taskbar and select move and it should allow you to move it down enough

for the fix for 4:02 (and this applies for anything, any window obs or otherwise) shift + right click, then click move on the menu that pops up, then you can click the mouse, and move it where you need it (will automatically move the cursor to the top bar on whatever window your trying to adjust). at least on windows 10, not sure if it also works on 11
These are some really nice quality of life updates! I was really hoping for the multi-login for multistreaming on twitch/youtube to be a native part of OBS with this update, but crossing my fingers for the next one!
If you have a Window you can't move selected, press alt + spacebar and you will get the menu with the move option. Once you select move, you can move the window using the directional keys. Once you press a directional key it will lock your cursor to the window and you can move the window with your mouse from there as long as you don't click a mouse button.
Great vid! Make them add so alerts etc don't show up on VOD/recording like they have for Sound capture where you can if you want it on stream/recording/VODS etc, that would make this software game changing!
alt + spacebar, M, use an arrow key. the active window will move per key press. that initiates the move window Windows function, move with arrow key on one press and it will tie it to your mouse cursor, so you can move the window around with the mouse cursor from that point forward.
Unfortunately the full height docks feature is very bad. There is only all docks or no docks full height. Why we can't not select a specific dock for full height?
I like they're moving towards the multistreaming idea. The resizeable it's BRILLIANT! I think it will be game changer if they implement all the pluggins and make them user friendly and intuitive BUT I understand that it is a HUGE cost on that. Anyways, really happy with OBS. Soon such videos will be labeled ADS WITH SOME TECH TIPS. Even TH-cam is gonna change the check box "contains sponsored content" to "may contain helpful content ". I get the sponsor thing but there's so much viewers can bear, a good content/ads ratio must be found cause as it is, it's obvious there's a sponsor deadline and a video had to be out.
I was just trying to get full height Twitch chat a couple days to no avail. I'll be changing this immediately now. The thing I'd like fixed is OBS remembering dock sizes. I'm tired of having to resize each dock every time I load up OBS.
Finally a good native dock implementation. I used to use a plugin to move my docks around since I use a vertical display for obs but it was a bit finicky. It's crazy to think that until now, obs was that bad on vertical display while if you think about it, it's the perfect way to display chat and alerts without having to scroll too much back and forth if you missed a message/alert.
The problem with updating OBS is that everything breaks and so you have to update all your plugins and make sure everything works again. Also that little speck on his eyebrow is triggering my OCD
The thing I desperatly want in OBS 31 is more audio tracks. I'd suggest they hide it in advanced options as a toggle and such but recording any kind of live production with only 6 channels is annoying. We had a stream with 5 mics and music. That becomes impossible as we need a track for Twitch so track 1 is gone, we need a track for vods without music so track 2 is gone. Then we'd need a track each for the microphones. The only solution we could come up with was to use the 4 tracks we had as 8 tracks by moving the audio all the way to the left or right channel but it did sound weird on stream which was annoying. There was an old audio focused fork of OBS that had up to 16 audio tracks but it got abandoned.
This is where you would be better off running all the Microphones to a mixer and then into the PC for OBS. Or use a DAC (pc mixer) to run everything to for mixing and then tell OBS to only input from the DAC. Either of these options will allow you to control each audio line directly outside of OBS (better audio tools this way to). If you want to keep controls inside OBS, leave twitch, VODS, and Music on an OBS channel, and then mix the microphones in an outside source and have that as your 4th OBS audio channel.
The problem is that running a seperate audio software to capture the mics individually puts excess strain on the pc and that means having to use a more expensive or larger set up. The case we had was trying to be a portable set up and we didn't have the budget for an good laptop. In order to have each microphone on a seperate audio track for post editing on that hardware the panning option was all we could come up with. I know there was an obs fork which had extra audio tracks but it was abandoned by the creator. So I know its possible for OBS to add in an option to increase it past the default 6. The main thing we needed was a way to edit the microphones in post so we could produce an actual show from them, including an audio only podcast. So we needed them each to have an audio track. Live mixing and modifying the mics before recording will never give you the same versatility as doing it in post. @@chrish7336
I love that my chats are so much bigger, but as usual we gain something, we lose something. In this case, network drives and sources are once again disabled. I open it up and I got the dreaded missing resources box and had to go through everything listed, copy them to a local drive and remap them.
I had a plugin that let you multi stream a couple years ago but it was buggy so I deleted it. That would be cool and also the ability to hilight comments like streamyard and then maybe one day someone will figure out how to integrate discord type features making it simpler to bring in guests or just audio guests and you could toggle it on and off but use it to bring people on during streams similar to streamyard but available without having to drop links you could just tap on their username. 👀
Since we are on the topic of docks, how come there is no guide or discussion or demonstration of different wayt to configure the docks for streaming? Where do people put the point redemptions? Where do they put the chat? Where do they put the scenes and the stream details? How large of a preview do people have or should have or ... you know. Why do we not have this discussion? I think HH should do one such video and speak of ways to configure OBS docks :D
Yes!!! the TH-cam thing is gonna be great! I started going full youtube instead of twitch as an artist cuz all my other videos are artistic or creator motivational stuff, especially after I watched why you switched. But now.... multi streaming? I'll have to try and figure all that out as well haha. Did you do a video about why you decided to get back to also streaming on twitch?
I would say restream, but on more then one occasion, when using them I suddenly start only uploading at 0kbs. If I immedatly disconnect it and reconnect it to TH-cam directly, works just fine. So it is clearly on their end.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one having the issue with the chat window being above the screen. Always made me feel like an idiot lol.
For chat docks I use stream ninja and combine all chats into one then use url as browser source then a dock and all set.

Totally agree on the being able to sign in to both twitch and TH-cam with two separate docs thing. That would be a godsend.

This update makes everything so easy now. ESPECIALLY with the ability to dock your chat windows, and see the TH-cam Dashboard too. Ya, boy is happy.
I noticed the update last night, but was too busy trying to record my screen to investigate, so this video actually appeared at the perfect moment.
Imagine having to watch TH-cam Ads just to get slapped with 1/3rd of the video being an ad. AdBlock all the way to win.
I've recently discovered you can make the audio sliders vertical to save space and mimic an audio mixer. Worth considering

When a window is stuck like that use the Windows+arrow keys to move it to preset dock configurations, this showing you the top.

If we could get the Aitum Vertical Plug in updated so we can pause recordings the way we can with normal videos that would be a HUGE upgrade.

shift-win-m is the fix moves your mouse to the window title and activates move mode so you can just drag back down to your monitor.
On Mac: hold option + resize window from the bottom

Harris you can sign in. With both. Just create a custom dock. It's what I used to do before I had restream

I think it depends on the streaming service. In OBS28 I was able to use both Facebook live and TH-cam.
