Hello guys. This "Wooden Dowel Making Tool" I made turned out really well. We can make wooden dowels with diameters of 8mm and 10mm, but the number of diameters can be increased by changing the dimensions of the wood and aluminum plate used. There is also a "Wooden Dowel Sharpener" section on it. Thanks to this section, we can properly round the end of the square-section lath. This not only makes it easy to enter the dowel hole, but also makes it easy to attach to the drill. You can download the measurements prepared in PDF format from the link below this section, as always.

I admire your ingenuity, but sometimes I get mad watching your videos-- Why didn't I think of that? Simple design, very rugged, and obviously when a blade gets dull, you just loosen a couple of screws, slide out the old blade, and slide in a new one. Cheap and easy. For different-sized dowels, say 3/8" or 1/2", I could just use different drill bits. Thanks so much for making and sharing this video.

Great job, i think the bare blade's sticking out of the block need to be ground down, they are lethal.

This dowel is nicer then the others even without sanding it down and it really shaves of the wood! The others ones scratch more then they shave, so if you make one you should make this one !

Part 1: Top Steel Plate: 28mm and 43mm distance from the edge/face of the plate:
It is center of the hole? This hole is then extended into a slit/slot.

Hello. Exactly as you say. Dimensions are relative to the center of the hole. After the hole center is determined, it will be drilled with a 5mm drill bit and a slit will be opened by drawing tangent lines around the hole.

Hi. For exact measurement, it is necessary not to lower the knife too deep. If you cannot make this adjustment fully, you can enlarge the holes with 8.5mm and 10.5mm. It's a really good tool. Thank you very much for your interest and comment.
