Huuge win for team Doublelift. I have to agree. Bjergsen was so dominant when he first came to NA, but it tapered off, even though he continued to be a top 2 Mid. Doublelift just kept growing throughout his career, and he went from being a brainless mechanical God to actually being a smart player who made all his teams better.
It didnt taper off lol he was dominant from 2014 til 2017 in terms of mechanics and definently more respected Internationally at that point. Doublelift is a 12 year old boy trapped in the body of a adult.
I think Doublelift also going something like 4 consecutive LCS wins in both TSM AND TL cemented that. I had Bjergsen over DL but then Bjergsen never found success outside TSM whereas DL has found success on as an OG with CLG, pushed TL to relevancy, and made MSI finals (if won, that woulda been highlight for NA) outside of his time with TSM.
@@georgeide2337 Bjerg needed Doublelift to get trophies, while Doublelift didnt need Bjerg. Doublelift even helped 3 different orgs get trophies, while Bjerg failed hard the moment he doesnt have a TSM superteam. Lol. End of argument.
12:16 Honestly whether or not league will be relevant in 10 years heavily depends on the success of the riot MMO in my opinion . A revolutionary MMO can have insane competitive potential whether directly in some sort of organized in game fight , or even the competitive social / economical aspect of mmos . In albion online for example some guilds literally control parts of the map , so much so that you'll be killed on sight if you're travelling there alone . Such a setting can for sure overshadow league in my opinion .
Wish i could've seen a devil's advocate take on imports in LCS. I wanted someone to talk about live LCS chat, I almost feel like I can't watch live LCS because of the negativity in chat, I'd rather watch the VOD. The unfiltered takes in this video is the greatest, not super negative but just honest. Also, the lighting and quality of this video is amazing. Also, also, the members were all great, huge fan.
"The idea of Brood War as an esport is still relevant even if the game is no longer played..." While not technically wrong, the game's still being played in it's remastered form. The pro tournament, ASL S17(Afreeca TV Starcraft Remastered League Season 17), is currently ongoing.
Not to be a hater, but it's basically 40 minutes of people agreeing with each other, there were 2 questions that had some sort of debate, but not much.
I like the dude at 17:00 but hes obviously such an NA fan haha China has like 6 arenas and 17 pro teams in their LPL circuit. Aslong as China has a foot in the race so will the rest of the world. China alone is like 1/7 of the world population. Theyll keep the game alive by force if necessary. League is so big in the East its not even close, its like how NA CS fans think the game is dying but then you look at EU and see how much love there is for the game. An entire continent is behind LoL 2 more if you count Europe and NA, even if you drop Europe and NA. Game still gonna be relevantz
i wish i was able to ask one question bc that would be do u think more players would stick around in league if they iP banned ppl(reason i ask is bc ive been playing since release and im not playing that much anymore bc i finished d4 last season and now this season i have a negative wr bc of trolls and afks on my team for more then 70% of my games and im never getting to play the game anymore bc its over by 5 min) (also really good video)
No game is over by 5 minutes, that's a mind set diff, there are plenty of games great players just plain fuck up and get outplayed (By other great players) it's the nature of league of legends
1. I feel they need to bring back the import cap. There's so many instances where super teams are made out of imports and flounder. Imports haven't helped changed or made NA better compared to the other regions. 2. Play games in low elo. Its not positive. On a large scale maybe it is like events and bringing people together for international events but down to the bare bones of just getting on and playing its probably one of the most toxic communities. Especially now with the crap matchmaking riot has putting new players in plat or emerald Elo, and all the bot accounts grinding for iron, it's gotten more toxic. 3. League will still be relevant in 10 years. It has already lasted over a decade which a lot of games can't say they have done. And with all the clones that more so try to copy the league formula compared to Dota or Dota 2, most of those games get really hype then die out after a year or two. 4. Double lift is the GOAT of NA LCS. The man left and came back and was still the best ADC In the league between personality and play he is the best, there were plenty of mid laners that rival Bjerg. Double lift is also a NA native Bjerg was one of the first imports. 5. LEC no. LPL or LCK yes. NA needs to bring back relegations and make league more interesting watch. You have a challenger team league with no way of those teams to get into the LCS anymore. Going back yo relegations of the bottom 3 teams would have to fight for their spot against the top 3 teams of the challenger league. And I agree need more best ofs even a best of 2 would make the LCS more watchable. And make it 10 teams again. 6. They do. That's why new champs are typically banned until either a patch or 2 come out that balance them out and make them more tolerable to play against. Even with reworks or certain updates, my main example is stealth Champs, there really isn't much counter play to them without having 3 pink wards in a lane and even then most can get around them. And really you don't think of Champs as fun against. 7. I agree with Spica
Every analyst i've seen agrees that, while flawed, LEC format is just so much better than double round robin. But i guess having more fun and competitive format is less important than amount of trophies. Keep LCS in the storage closet because it is where it belongs with mindset like that.
This probably has nothing to do with LoL... BUT this video reminds me of that one time when I watched Shroud (a pro counter-strike player and a PUBG streamer) entered into a PUBG tournament full of PUBG pro players and he got wrecked in that tournament. Pros and streamers are not the same.
I know I am a little late on this, but DL is also the goat because he lives and breathes for League. How many of the "big name" retired pros are still as obsessed with the game as he is?

Maybe League may remain relevant in 10 years but the Esports definitely won't. The day Faker retires, LoL Esports will lose it's relevance. Now before someone starts hurling insults or making assumptions. If you saw Caedrel pull up viewership stats on stream, in LCK's top 10 most viewed games from the 1st round robin, the top 9 were T1 games and the 10th was GenG vs DK which have the 2nd and 3rd largest fanbases followed by GenG KT and KT DK where GenG KT slowly had rising viewership because of the upset and KT DK being 2 even teams (with a blunderful macro) and KT has the 4th largest fanbase still. When Faker was injured last year, that viewership plummeted too. Even at worlds, viewership when T1 plays is higher than years when T1 didn't make it and the views on T1 games are highest too Ofcourse this doesn't factor in LPL team games since these are YT and Twitch stats but the game will lose relevance in the west and maybe to some extent in Korea when Faker is gone. Only LPL may remain relevant

the NA import topic is simple. LCS scene is terrible, the growth is limited, and there is less money in the LCS than it has ever been.
