If it's a game that i really like then yes i don't mind ng+ , but if it's extremely hard then probably I'd leave it midway and move on to new game . I will be satisfied just clering the game .
thank you for you're videos man. I've recently started trophy hunting because of you. I'm currently working on my 16th platinum for ratchet and clank 2016
Great video mate. In my opinion, if the game is short enough like and Resident Evil, than a new game plus is fine. But massive open worlds can just feel like a slog sometimes
Totally agree Iliya! I also look for the number of playthrough while searching for the next plat. Sometimes only the thought of completing the game twice, makes me feel exhausted.
Nice video layout! I too am a side-quest first guy haha. Some games even have some side quests expire if you progress too far. I believe Deus Ex Mankind Divided is one of them.
Oh, it's such a blessing and a curse! I also have another thing; I try to make my last trophy be for completing the main story, although it doesn't always work out. And yeah, don't get me started on missable side-quests!
I feel you on the doing all the side content the second it’s available, my first plat of elden ring ps5 took 130hrs because of all the optional stuff, and then when I did a speedish run for the ps4 plat it took me 30hrs lol
Spider-Man PS4 really lost its momentum because of it on my initial playthrough. That being said, I finished NG+ about a week ago, and it was sooooo good.
You know I think this is the latest I've seen one of your videos in forever! 😬 Awesome as always though dude! I totally agree with longer games or open-world titles, it just becomes too much! I still haven't done Horizon ZD on NG+ for that exact reason. But if it's a much quicker run for example the Resident Evil games then it's nowhere near as bad, it really does just depend.
Always appreciated, Peter! I think HZD might actually not be that bad if you only do main quests, but it will still probably take 10-ish hours. On a side note, because I am a genius, I did something weird with my save of HZD a while ago and my level 60 save is gone, so it will be twice as painful for me to go for it 😅
@@IliyaKunin that is true, I probably could get through it pretty quick, maybe one day I'll go back through it! And that is devastating Iliya 😂 has it messed up your cloud save too? I had a similar problem with AC Valhalla, 120 hour save file just gone!
@@PeaTearGames Oh man, that's awful! And I just messed up. I was replaying it with my sister, and I didn't want to do Ultra-Hard with her, so I started a new game on ps5 without downloading a ps4 save from the cloud, and I accidentally over-wrote the cloud saves...
@@IliyaKunin Dude that sucks! Losing progress in a game is always bad but when it's a max level one it's even worse! Also I'm totally not using this as an excuse to not try Ultra-Hard 😂
As someone who doesn’t really care about dlc trophies I don’t mind if there are dlc trophies or not lol. Some games such as last of us are so good they deserve to be played again for the platinum though. Great video by the way Ilya! :)
If there are trophies for playing on hard difficulties, I'll always do that in a NG+. I like playing my first playthrough on a lower difficulty, learning the game mechanics, getting the collectables and figuring out where to go. Then when I need to do a higher difficulty playthrough I feel more prepared, plus with the carry over of stats and weapons it feels less frustrating for me. Usually those second playthroughs are nowhere near as long as the first, as I'm only focusing on the main objectives second time around
Another great vid Ilyia I agree, I want a NG+ to give me a slightly different experience and it does help sometimes in streamlining the story in a big open world game
For me as a general rule of thumb, a new game plus trophy is only enjoyable if it can be tackled in 10 hours or less. Especially if the main game was super long but you walk away with equipment/ability upgrades, levels, and quality of life upgrades (like fast travel), it can be fun at that point to see the same challenges through the lens of an absolute unit.
New game plus trophies don't make me angry or bored. I like to 100% my games ofc but sometimes it takes hours to 100% it and if I need hours to do it I will play the game with some music soo it will calm me down from quiting the 100% run and I need two trophies for sniper elite 4 and they are, to complete the game on authentic plus and with no manual saves, and it's annoying and hard plus you will need to restart from the beginning of the level it not that hard but it will be frustrating ofc I mean if you 100% max Payne on ps 3 I can do the 2 trophies 😅 love the vids homie ❤️
I guess you're right, a lot of those things are about your attitude! And btw, I am actually working on those 2 SE4 trophies on and off at the moment, tough but fun! 3 more missions to go 😅 Hope you get it done soon! Thank you for the kind words!
i dont mind New Game+. if i play a game i enjoyed and its required for the platinum or its a DLC Trophy ill definitely do it. If there's no trophy for new game+ i wont do it, as to me there's no point if I've already completed that game it doesn't have a new game+ trophy but if its on a game i dont like then ill still do it, i will of course not enjoy it and be bored with it because i dont like that game, so to make myself not bored of playing a game i dont like, i just listen to music to get my mind off that game! and its a extra trophy as we all love trophies 🏆
New game Plus is OK in my opinion... I'll do it if a trophy is needed, but probably not if there isn't one... I'm so basic xD I do agree with you though, Spiderman was definitely better in new gam plus sory-wise
don't think I ever had a new game plus trophy, I guess Dark Souls 3 could count for the rings trophy but friends can drop them for you, fighting games dont have new game plus but they do require playing the same challenge modes hundreds of times over sometimes
Oh, I see! I think it's actually debatable whether it's a New Game Plus at this point, same with Rouge-like games, you replay them so many times unlocking upgrades etc., but I probably wouldn't call it a NG+ at this point
New game plus for the most part sends a shiver down my spine. Games such as Resident Evil do it well, and because of their length they don't feel like a mountain to climb unlike an RPG or Souls game that's gonna demand 20-40hrs in NG+. Devs should keep NG+ as an additional feature without trophies for hardcore fans, or at worst, DLC trophies IMO, sorry completionists 😅
TBH I think they are awful idea especially if it's big open world game. If it's a shorter game and there are other endings to follow like a dark souls game no problem it's part of the whole endgame experience. I also rather not play the game again for one trophy when I could be playing a whole new game. It could make me despise the game when I enjoyed the first playthrough.
Yeah, it's definitely a thing; I found myself getting annoyed with the game I otherwise loved because I had to replay it... Sucks that it's like that sometimes :(
So, what are your thoughts on New Game Plus modes and trophies in games? 😉
If it's a game that i really like then yes i don't mind ng+ , but if it's extremely hard then probably I'd leave it midway and move on to new game . I will be satisfied just clering the game .
And if they short like [re3] and [the order] then probably don't mind NG+++ , but if it's soo looooong then naaah not worth the time .
@@thegamingmummy4382 Oh yeah, I actually really enjoyed replaying RE3! I loved the fact that I felt like such a badass and an expert at the end :D

NG+ trophies are often a good excuse to replay the game. I like to try and speedrun the game, see how quick I can do it
Oh, that's actually a cool approach! I might steal that from you ;)
I don't mind new game plus modes, if they add something to the run such as different enemy placements/numbers.

Completely unnecessary. They generally don’t add enough to make an entire play through worth it.
