- Marvel's Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games teased several villains that will appear in the Spider-Man 3 game. Even the director of the franchise commented on this and officially confirmed some details.

I personally think it would be too easy to kill Peter. Like we've seen it before. Any story with Miles and Peter ends with Peter dying. We don't need it again. That's not to say that there shouldn't necessarily be loss, it just doesn't need to be in the form of our main character dying.

The issue is not Peter being there, it’s Miles being in his shadow.
Give Miles his own villains and story, have Peter either not be present or put him in a supporting role, and keep interchanging their roles depending on what story they’re telling.
You don’t need to kill Peter to make Miles the MC, and Miles doesn’t need to have Peter up his ass all the time.

She’s too young for the whole Peter/Silk bit, and MJ exists so cut that.
Depending on where they decide to go with Miles, there’s a change for both of them.
They can add twists, make her more volatile in first appearances and eventually face and lose to either Peter or Miles and they they start to help her from there.
There’s a million ways to do this not kill off anyone for no reason

I don't think they need to kill Peter off to continue the story going forward, I'd rather see something like this, let's say Goblin kills MJ that would send Peter into a fit of rage having him kill Goblin by his own hands, he takes the Goblin mask off and see's it's either Norman or Harry. Thus having Peter fall into mad guilt etc, getting to the point he finally quits being Spider-Man, handing the torch to Miles.

Instead of Peter dying, I kinda would like it if he wound up joining the Avengers, since Insomniac does apparently have an Avengers in their Universe. If you think about it, Peter struggles with trying to balance a normal life with responsibilities while trying to be a super hero, and joining the avengers would he a happy medium between the two. He gets paid to be on a team as Spider-Man instead of doing it for charity work. So having a steady career to be Spider-Man would also clear up room for his relationship and other Peter Parker stuff. And I imagine he would still get to utilize his science expertise with them as well to solve crises. I think that would be a good happy ending for Peter, while also saving room for him to appear in other projects.
Umm you do know that Avengers do not get paid until Civil War and then even then only Caps team gets paid. After the fallout of Ultron, that compensation is over too so who paying him lol?
@@majjahson3509 Yeah that happens in the comics. Which is a really neat thing that introduces the MULTIVERSE. Its an idea that there are infinite possibilities. Its so awesome that, for example, there could be a universe where it just so happens that the Avengers never had to deal with Ultron, where that idea simply doesn't exist... But for real though, who gives a shit. Why would there have to be a logical reason behind the Avengers getting paid. It doesn't impact the plot whatsoever unless they wanted it to, and I'm pretty sure that they would make it work. Let the man express his opinion without throwing nerd knowledge at him like it means something, it makes you sound like a dick.

I agree he doesn’t need to die to have a good story. It’s way to easy to kill him off , because everyone likes Peter. This can become one of peters biggest challenge that people are dying and the world is breaking.
As a fun way to mix things up a bit, since we do know Carnage and Green Goblin are going to be in the next game. We could get the Red Goblin appearing.
I’ve been thinking about this too. Having the Carnage symbiote fuse with Green Goblin will create the ultimate villain for the spider family.
Here is my theory, I don't think Otto's plan is intended to kill or expose Peter in anyway, instead I think it'll be directed at taking down Norman and making amends (ish) with Peter. Otto I don't think sees Peter as a person to focus his anger on rather he sees him as a tool, and with Norman going into his Green Goblin state, I think he'll be pulling strings so that Norman is then exposed. As for how he'll get out I think the Chameleon will be the one who breaks him out because as he says "ill accomplish something you could not" could be him creating a legend for himself and dying with it, which can be accomplished with Ottos assistance. But there is a wrench which I don't think they saw coming that being Carnage, who does things that will expose themselves to Peter and Miles and a fight will ensure.

Agreed there’s no way Otto works with Norman. It’ll seem like it at first, but ultimately he hates Norman more than anyone, especially Peter. Part of the gam story may be trying to treat Otto. I see him sacrificing himself.
As for the conundrum of who will take the G-Serum, i think Norman will take it as to improve himself and spare Harry the side effects.
Essentially after Norman has the Serum in his system long enough, granting him the full abilities of the Serum (Strength and Healing Factor) they'll then transfer his blood to Harry and by doing so heal his son and prevent the insanity side effects
I don’t want the next game to have Peter die at all. But I do think Carnage will be DLC . They can make plans for him in the next game too but have the DLC for just his transformation and becoming Carnage. We won’t see what he does as Carnage until 3

I think a “maximum carnage” dlc is more likely than him being a part of the third game, or maybe venom gets his own spinoff like miles, and that’s how they give a more substantial version of the story.

Peter will not die that may be logical but its not the best choice maybe have him become the owner of a tech company and take a smaller roll in future games and stories.
Does anyone notice that the archenemies of Spider man became the main villains of the game first it was Dr.Octopus then Venom next it's going to be the Green Goblin in the 3rd game.
Apparently according to leaks that happened to insomniac not too long ago, spider man 3 could release around 2028, and that there was a possibility that a game like spider man: miles morales, starring venom as an anti hero, which doesn’t seem like a very good idea, as I feel venom has a good conclusion in the second game, and having him be an antihero wouldn’t mix well with his entire point as a character
I don’t know what anyone else thinks abt this. But I genuinely think that bc of the introduction of Carnage, that Peter’s Anti-Venom suit will start to go a bit crazy in trying to destroy it and possibly, might even turn into a form of villain for Peter and miles to face in the third game. It has been noted that anti-venom is quite the anti-hero, but has moments where it can become villainous, so with it being taunted by a much stronger more evil symbiote, anti-venom might become a bit more…aggressive in its tactics.
Well Anti-Venom is a symbiote where the wearer has complete control…it’s not exactly sentient. So it is at the whim of whoever is wearing it at the tiem
They've been building up Norman Osborn for the last 2 games. Green Goblin is inevitable and I doubt they'll need to whip out other villains to raise the threat. Besides, they already did a Sinister Six plotline in the first game.
Carnage and Chameleon are probably going to be DLC. Look at how the first Spider-Man game did it: a side quest that featured Black Cat but never actually showed her lead to her appearance in the first DLC. Similar situation with Silver Sable and Hammerhead. The game only teased Harry Osborn and the Venom symbiote in a post-credits scene.
And I highly, highly doubt the Goblin will kill Peter. That would mean Miles would be the one to bring down Norman and there's just not enough material between the two. Besides, what kind of message would be derived from a story where the hero fails to defeat their greatest enemy? That would be like Darth Vader killing Luke Skywalker and then Han Solo comes in to finish the fight. It just doesn't make sense narratively.
If Insomniac really wants to take Peter off the board, I suspect either a debilitating injury that prevents him from being able to continue (which is unlikely because of his healing factor and relentlessness to save the city) or he just retires.
Agreed, there’s zero reason for Miles and Goblin to conclude the story, that’d be really stupid. Goblin is Peters biggest foe. Even though Miles is in the games and has his own spinoff, the trilogy is about Peter and the Osbornes. If Harry survives I see him and a retired Peter doing what Norman and Otto failed to do by changing the world with their company.

The ending of Spider-Man 2 also introduced Cindy Moon, who isn't a villain but could probably join Peter and Miles as Spider-Men
I noticed throughout the spiderman games they been doing something new with the lore and characters. I dont think they will kill off peter , because that trend is too predictable now with oliver queen in cw, tony stark in mcu. However, i think they will make peter crippled or lose his powers permanently by the end of spiderman 3.

Interesting idea: Peter is still bound to Anti-venom. And from my brief look at the lore, Anti-venom actually heals and destroys impurities in the body...not just symbiotes. Eddie Brock actually nearly depowered Peter when he senses and mistakenly tries to remove the radiation inside Peter
Maybe the suit slowly depowers him until he is just normal when he takes it off

In one of the post-credit scenes we meet Cindy Moon aka Silk, so maybe that is a hint for Morlun?
I think Norman Osborn is preparing two G-Serum (Goblin Serum), one for himself for revenge of Harry and one for Harry Osborn which will make him Junior Goblin and will aid him fighting the Spidermen since there are two Spiderman and they are extremely powerful

Probably they wont kill peter off but may kill off other characters like harry, norman or Octavius. I also think Carnage will be one of the characters in a dlc for sp2, daredevil and maybe wong or dr strange could also be in a dlc. Chameleon will probably be in spiderman 3.
I feel that killing off Peter is unnecessary and could be achieved by having to Peter either retire or take a backseat for miles to go on the bigger missions while Peter sticks to doing stuff that doesn’t have a major impact on miles. Kinda like a ceo stepping into a lower role.
They did the same thing in Spider-man Miles Morales, so I agree they could do that again.
I think it’d just be easier if Peter patrolled one side of the city and miles controlled the other. That way they both have their own stories. Neither of them have to take a back seat for the other, or the other live in their shadow

I knew carnage was going to appear in at least the third game before he is even revealed as cleetus when i opened his notebook and i saw the drawing of carnage. it was some really good foreshadowing
I would also like to see the spot say the spot makes a portal to this realm but he can’t escape the realm so through frustration and confusion he causes havoc in the city and can release villains like doc oct from raft. Plus the spot can show up from time to time say when miles or Pete defeat a villain he shows up to teleport the defeated villain away. Plus not to mention martin li still out there and there powers are very similar so the spot and li can combine powers. Not to mention you got other characters like Cindy moon with there own comics and villains so we can see like some villains not even from the Peter comics or Miles comics. Also it would also be cool if we MJ and Pete have a kid and the kid be like a character from into the spider verses or the other spider verse movie with spider powers

I say Norman Osborn as green goblin will team up with carnage. Norman did mention the "G-Serum" and Carnage was obviously mentioned and shown (the symbiote) by the Flame.. Now that Norman hates Spider-man this makes perfect sense. I hope Harry gets Venom back and learns to control the symbiote instead of it being the other way around.

How do you think that peter has anti venom and robotic arms anti venom can heal like regular symbiotes and the wearer is in full control keep in mind anti venom is permanently bonded to peter so it is very difficult to kill him
Hob Goblin is also a potential villain if Norman plans on using the G serum to wake Harry up from his coma
I think the finale of the next game will have a reconsiled Peter and Otto sharing a body squaring off with Green Goblin
Just make the player choose any of the 2 in the beginning of the game, with different events depending on which character you choose. That way the game can be more complete and both Miles and Peter have their moment to shine.

I like your take on how the third insomniac installment of spiderman could look like with carnage and green goblin, but I think that if both were put into the game together, one of two scenarios could occur. The one you described, or one where even if Norman Osborn becomes the green goblin, carnage may be the true final boss and it may take Harry receiving some of the anti-venom symbiote from Peter to help combat carnage. As players I think we can all understand Norman’s pain for Harry being comatose after the mess with the venom symbiote and I understand he is desperate to save his son like any good father would, but somehow, I find the carnage outcome more possible. If they do save green goblin as the big bad of the 3rd game as we can speculate, then it is possible that Carnage could have a dlc line similar to hammerhead in the first game and Silk could make her debut as the newest spider powered hero. There are so many possible paths insomniac can take on this spidey story but whichever they take, I have a good hunch they will deliver in the most amazing way possible for Spider-Man.
Could be interesting if Carnage ends up causing an existential threat to life on Earth that sees EVERY villain still alive teaming up with Peter and Miles for a complete ending twist with everyone fighting to save the planet. Maybe Peter uses the venom symbiote on Harry so he can help and they make a deal with Venom to help save the world in exchange for being free but onlt as a proper symbiotic experience rather than influencing his host.
Nah Carnage is too big of a villain to be DLC but also if he's the main villain of 3 it would be repetitive, it would be best to have him be the main villain for the first half then Green Goblin the second half, like how in 1 it was Mr. Negative, then Doc Ock, and in 2 it was Kraven, then Venom.

I would like to see a Miles Morales 2 spider man game where he is training Silk where the fight the Chameleon, Leaper and see Norman turn into Green Goblin or Harry at the end of it and then In Spiderman 3 have you play as all three Peter,Miles, and Cindy taking on Green Goblin, Carnage,Doc Oc,Black Cat and Aim as the villains. Or Have a Villian from the Muiltverse

I think we will get a truncated Otto taking over Peter's body and becoming Superior spider-man. Cue battle with Norman's green goblin ultimately defeated by a Miles/Silk team up. Carnage will be DLC (symbiotes and hives are already in the game) programming

Ps4 & ps5 had a big difference & in 2021 insomniac planned to release Spider-Man 2 on ps4 aswell but it couldn’t handle the bigger world.
Trust me that ps5 is still gonna handle Spider-Man 3 well. If they only do it to ps6 it would be ON PURPOSE while they PHYSICALLY could not release it to ps4.
You forgot that taskmaster’s story never got wrapped up maybe he or the organisation that he’s working for could be in the next game as well as something to do with the multiverse due to the appearance of Peter in across the spider verse and they spider bot side mission
I think the ending I'd like to see would be OFC a Green Goblin finálé battle (it can't just be one), Peter loses his leg like in Marvel 2 and decides to retire for good and focuses on raising him and MJs daughter, Mayday.
Prolouge that cuts to 16 years later, May starts getting her powers, her new mentor ofc is her uncle Miles, the cycle is anew

I think I’d prefer Carnage and Chameleon to be DLC for 2 rather than saved for 3. I think it’s more fitting since the villains they’re affiliated with (Venom and Kraven) were the antagonists of the second game.

It would be cool if they gave a nod to anti venoms first encounter with spiderman and sap peters powers so when his symbiote dies from a major battle he realizes he cant be spiderman and goes through a metaphorical death while he acceprs his new life as just peter parker... Not saying this will happen. But in The third game the symbiote known as Toxin would Lach onto Miles Morales. This is seen as a good thing as in the comics, Toxin is known as mostly being a good symbiote and then both spider-men will have a symbiote technically. Just an idea.
Villains they should show other then carnage, green goblin, and doc oct. Are def Morbuis, hyrdoman, spot, and they should just have Norman be the carnage green goblin as well
I feel like the story will be more Miles heavy. I feel like Miguel will be a big plot. The introduction of Cindy Moon means Gwen is close behind. Could see a return of a multi verse enemy battle. Would be cool to see Miguel start to fight miles only to change tone and team up to fight carnage. Could be a big spider man/woman battle against carnage.
Nah this will be Peters big finale, I don’t think he’ll die but Goblin is Peter’s biggest foe. Miles has no personal relationship with Harry or Norman so that wouldn’t make any sense. They wouldn’t build up goblin and Harry’s story in all the games just have the finale be about spider women and/or miles fighting him or carnage.

In Marvel's 🕷-man 3 I know we are going to get chameleon and green goblin, but I hope the first part of the level we fight Hydro-man than later the other villains will be like Molten man, Whirlwind, Morbius, 🦏, maybe Spot and maybe Shriek and swarm🐝 finally in the final level he will fight Carnage.
At the end of Marvel's SpiderMan 2, we can see Norman Osborn wearing Green and Purple clothes. If that doesn't confirm that he'll become the Green Goblin, I don't know what would.

I think Norman and Otto can create a new sinister six and try to expose Peter and Miles. This sinister six can be these two, Chameleon, Rhino, Beetle, and Hydro. And at the end, Norman and Otto can be killed off and Miles fully embraces being the new Spider-Man as Peter and MJ get married.

I’d like to see something like the MC2 timeline. Where Peter and MJ have Mayday Parker and Peter loses his leg and thus is retired as Spider-Man. He can’t be Spider-Man but he can still be “The Guy in the Chair” for Miles and the rest of the Team Spidey. Think of Peter as an engineer solely for his team with the equipment he got from EMF. Shit could go crazy.

Otto is gonna take over Peter's body and become superior spiderman somehow. Only guessing because at who is introduced at the end of the game in Miles' apartment. It's that specific characters main villain.

Since Cindy moon is canon now it’s more likely that she will get her own game just like miles did and then spiderman 3 would come just like how spiderman 2 has 2 characters (because it’s called 2) spiderman 3 would have 3 characters that’s probably what their going for
I feel like Marvel’s Spider Man 3 will be like Batman Arkham Knight, where it’s rated m for mature. With a dark conclusion to the video game franchise.
