The part I hate about horror movies like this is when people get screwed for no reason. They had no way to escape, and two of them were going to die no matter what.
That's just a really horrifying way to die. It also feels like a huge waste of the titular premise if they're just there to add to the kill count and only to have the two main heroes (plus bringing back another from the first) survive again.
To all those saying its frustrating how they had no where to go. Yes thats true. It was sad and frustrating at the same time. But according to plot ( digital one) , claire wanted only zoey to survive. So she could use zoey to her help. Thats why she got the other two killed and saved Ben. After all it was a good twist how the mastermind manipulated the games.
Yeah, you're talking about the extended cut, right? I think the extended cut makes a lot more sense, how the door intentionally closed letting Zoey escape alone, or how Ben managed to survive not the priest dispite both drowning from the sand. Compare with normal cut, like out of nowhere amanda is a live, somehow amanda can even design rooms because the one who design those rooms was said to be geniuses, etc...

Conveniently the acid rain stopped being acid when on cars. Also her friend taking a moment to be calm with her and comfort her is so heartbreaking. Like she just accepted her fate and wanted to comfort her friend before they both died.

I know it's dumb to be angry over a movie, but even if the camera had panned to some clue the trio missed that let that be known, I would have accepted it, but nothing of that effect was there, thus I feel that Rachel and Brianna were cheated. I know the trend up to that point is "only one person wins" but I don't buy that was the reason why Rachel/Brianna got killed.

right at 1:31 before the clip cuts off you can see how instant the burns from acid are, i can't imagine how painful a death like that would actually be

Scientifically, she should have spun the umbrella. This would impart a significant outward force on the incoming acid rain droplets so they have a minimal contact time with the umbrella surface, thus, reducing the amount of deterioration of the umbrella and preserving her flesh from acid rain droplets.
to all the people saying “why didn’t they go under the car” they couldn’t, at 0:51 the bottom of the cab gets blocked. and if you’d maybe use your braincells, you see zoey falling through the cab
She does not feel anything, even when she is being stroked, her nerves have been atrophied, so if, for example, she would close her eyes, she simply would not open them
they can't fit under the car... there is a transition chute that connects to the other room (the attic) (blu ray ver.) and it will consume like 1/3 of the floor + there is a elevated platform beneath it (if you noticed it carefully.) the gap between it was (more or less) 13 inches and the platform must be half of the length either. also the timer what panics them and the acid concentration was getting higher.
In all honesty, the other characters weren't as smart as Zoe, as stated by the female creator of the games. Only Zoe ever actually beat the games, after that they just started letting people win in order to bring them all back for this tournament of champions. The others never really stood a chance 🤷🏾♂️.
This acid's so strong it kills them almost instantly, yet they could breathe just fine even though the room was now filled with god knows what vapors from all the disintegrated stuff in the room, and the acid itself.

Even extremely strong acids such as Hydrochloric Acid or Sulphuric Acid even in their most concentrated of solutions wouldn’t have killed them instantly. Also the metal framework on the cars would have been dissolved as well.
And a lot of plastics are relatively chemically inert when subjected to acids. Sure, we don't know exactly what acid it's supposed to be, or what exact materials are involved, but it should have taken longer than that by all rights, if it happened at all.
Honestly Rachel's escape rooms would be really interesting to see. It'd definitly be more reminiscent of Saw purely because none of them could feel pain.
I find it funny how the entire place (including the car) are still covered in droplets of acid, but the two girls are completely unaffected by it when they grab the handle and touch the car door. Did the acid just magically turn into water the second the sprinklers turned off? Their hands should’ve been burning off long before those sprinklers turned back on.

there is something that my husband pointed out about this particular scene when Zoey was reading about the three rings on the pawn shop sign.. he made it sound like that Zoe pond Rachel and Brianna's life for her own in order to get into the taxi, maybe not purposely but metaphorically she traded their lives in order to spare her own
There is station subway as safe zone if the red bottle pour an acid can destroy a jail door. And use a manhole as a umbrella or to break glass doors of shop. And put a pink umbrella can stop a door of taxi for two women. Use knife from the beach and rid the backseat of taxi to open a back hood for safe.

I think the phone booth was supposed to be a second escape route as well as the taxi. But they all think there's only one way and that was the taxi so they left the phone booth 🤦🏻♀️ . I wonder though if they stayed in the phone booth would there be a hatch that opens up and drops them like the one in the taxi?
That’s what I was abt to ask, like the sand dune sinkhole room, where you could go through the moon or the fridge.. I didn’t see the roof of the telephone booth open to the rain but I didn’t see the floor disappear either.. no clue
Cause that was the exit, all the games lead you to a exit or a door through clues, they thought since the door was open it mean they are clear to go for the next level, they didn’t know the mastermind behind this was planning for Zoey to be the only survivor, you can clearly see they cheat on them, that door wasn’t supposed to close, the master mind always thought zoey was the only champion who truly beat the game. The others champions were just pawns.

Wouldn't there be boiling, and fuming puddles of acid as it hits the ground? Why aren't their hands burning when they're pounding on the car windows or touching the door handle on the car? Could the car door handle even withstand the acid? Wouldn't everything just look like a Salvador Dali painting after just 2 minutes?
What you pointed out may have been movie mistakes but better yet, it kinda brings that theory where if you "didn't see them die on-screen, they may be alive". Ya know like, maybe the last acid rain could be switched with water and the smoke was a trick?

I just realized. Didnt the padlock on bodega have the same lock they melted off of the phonebooth? I'm usually not THAT type of person but you know. Character wise though, I do think they wouldn't think of that option in the middle of a panic.
The scenario: Acid Rain. Everybody: Panics and is in distress. Me who has to deal with acid inside my body 24/7: I am 4 Parallel Universes ahead of you.
If it's anything like the 1st movie, if you use anything not already in the rooms, "cheaters" are instantly killed by the people monitoring the games. Which was a plot point in the 1st movie, one of the final survivors "won" because they just thought she straight up died like 2 rooms back from the finale, but she ended up escaping when the clean up crew came in to get rid of her body.

i saw somewhere that the two shouldn't left the phone booth or they could've get back quick when the taxi door closed. also,i read that the girl who can't feel physical pain should've used her disability to find more clues when the rain is not that heavy yet so they could save more time.
After going thru the 1st movie and 2nd movie, Zoe still didn't learn to put things or hold the door open. The cabin in the winter site also closes door on its own, so whenever a door opens, find something to stuck it open or use all your strength to hold it open!

This was the most horrifying trap in the movie.
Honestly Rachel's escape rooms would be really interesting to see. It'd definitly be more reminiscent of Saw purely because none of them could feel pain.

I find it funny how the entire place (including the car) are still covered in droplets of acid, but the two girls are completely unaffected by it when they grab the handle and touch the car door. Did the acid just magically turn into water the second the sprinklers turned off? Their hands should’ve been burning off long before those sprinklers turned back on.

there is something that my husband pointed out about this particular scene when Zoey was reading about the three rings on the pawn shop sign.. he made it sound like that Zoe pond Rachel and Brianna's life for her own in order to get into the taxi, maybe not purposely but metaphorically she traded their lives in order to spare her own
There is station subway as safe zone if the red bottle pour an acid can destroy a jail door. And use a manhole as a umbrella or to break glass doors of shop. And put a pink umbrella can stop a door of taxi for two women. Use knife from the beach and rid the backseat of taxi to open a back hood for safe.

Easily the best scene in the movie. The entire scene is so tense, shame we don't get to see the start.
I think the phone booth was supposed to be a second escape route as well as the taxi. But they all think there's only one way and that was the taxi so they left the phone booth 🤦🏻♀️ . I wonder though if they stayed in the phone booth would there be a hatch that opens up and drops them like the one in the taxi?
That’s what I was abt to ask, like the sand dune sinkhole room, where you could go through the moon or the fridge.. I didn’t see the roof of the telephone booth open to the rain but I didn’t see the floor disappear either.. no clue

Cause that was the exit, all the games lead you to a exit or a door through clues, they thought since the door was open it mean they are clear to go for the next level, they didn’t know the mastermind behind this was planning for Zoey to be the only survivor, you can clearly see they cheat on them, that door wasn’t supposed to close, the master mind always thought zoey was the only champion who truly beat the game. The others champions were just pawns.
@@monicacai Yeah the master mind thinks the others champions were just a pawns because only Zoey get to escape it without any puzzles, and we can call that as "escape room" because she's escaping the room with a brilliant idea. While others wins by doing puzzles.
When Zoey starts saying "Hey!Hey! Don't give up!" Im so pissed Rachel and Brianna didn't try to find somewhere to hide Where the acid couldn't reach cause they were banging on the door for the 20 seconds left (even tho i think they couldn't hid somewhere 🙁
Does the acid just magically dissappear when the sprinklers shut off? Does the acid just magically dissappear when it hits the ground? Wouldn't there be boiling, and fuming puddles of acid as it hits the ground? Why aren't their hands burning when they're pounding on the car windows or touching the door handle on the car? Could the car door handle even withstand the acid?

What you pointed out may have been movie mistakes but better yet, it kinda brings that theory where if you "didn't see them die on-screen, they may be alive". Ya know like, maybe the last acid rain could be switched with water and the smoke was a trick?

If it's anything like the 1st movie, if you use anything not already in the rooms, "cheaters" are instantly killed by the people monitoring the games.
Which was a plot point in the 1st movie, one of the final survivors "won" because they just thought she straight up died like 2 rooms back from the finale, but she ended up escaping when the clean up crew came in to get rid of her body.

It wasn’t possible to hide under the car. The taxi had a trapdoor that went down to another room. Meaning there is no “under the car”.

After going thru the 1st movie and 2nd movie, Zoe still didn't learn to put things or hold the door open. The cabin in the winter site also closes door on its own, so whenever a door opens, find something to stuck it open or use all your strength to hold it open!
