I clicked on this episode thinking, "They better stop at Mac's." I grew up in Brady, and while I moved away nearly 30 years ago, I still miss "home".

You still need to do the Goat Cookoff. Maybe a special festivals episode is in order.

Funny you mentioned George Strait, because when driving to Amarillo up from San Antone, you go through Brady.

Greatly appreciate when you combine the culture, local interests and interviews with Texas history lessons!

You look like Charlie Crockett in your thumbnail. That's awesome.

Came here to comment the same thing. I thought it was a Charlie Crockett video at first glance, until I noticed it was a Daytripper video.

*Coordinates:* 31 degrees 26 ft. 36.6 in. north latitude, 99 degrees 13 ft. 49.2 in. west longitude.
To get there, you need to pass through Winchell on US Route 377. Next keep right and make a turn on FM765. Then turn right on Private Road 804.

Gah! Core memory unlocked. When I lived there, I was pregnant with my first child and she had me craving Mac’s BBQ. Back then the smoker was outside but, man, could I go for some right now!

This was not worth getting through the forced extremely long ad in the beginning. Embarrassingly goofy (no this goofy style is not humorous. It is not young at heart it is childish - huge difference.) which is a waste of time, unnecessary useless filler. What was offered about life in Brady? Not much at all.

Winchell is closer to the geographical center of Texas.
