I grew up in the country just outside of Milton back in the 70's when it was still just a little town. The main drag was all there was back then. I use to play hockey in a little arena that was across from the jail. I remember the pinball joint downtown, The Roxy, Lido's Chinese food. There was/is? a curling ring downtown. It was a lot of fun when you were 10-14 years old. I don't even recognize the the town now. All my friends farms and houses just outside of town are now massive subdivisions, guess that's progress. You can never go home because home is a time not a place :(
I moved here almost 11 years ago in old Milton love old Milton. Upset about why my property taxes have gone up almost $100.00 a year im still not sure why my garbage is still picked up every 2 weeks.
Another con: no real mall... Always end up having to go to Mississauga or other cities to do things.... I still love living in Milton though... It's nice when you can go out of your house and all the neighbors say hi..and people are nice

Me and my buddy would go to the video store Flicks’N things cause he new a girl who worked there. She would let us rent horror movies !! Ow ya, you try watching I,Mad man when your 12 😱 . It was an amazing little town. Me and my buddy used to swim in the Mill pond in the back where the little water fall is. I lived on Cabot trail . So many wonderful memories. After our good friend past away and my buddy moved out to Kingston , Milton’s never been the same. Now with the population growth it’s become a typical urban city. No longer a small town.

You mention that the town has faced many problems just in the begining of your video... well the town needs to upgrade because the amount of property taxes and land transfers fees they are making...it should provide more better community services in terms of transport , roads etc...
Just moved to Milton from Mississauga and I can say it is one of the most peaceful places to live. Safe communities and friendly neighbors. Best thing is the houses are actual houses not small matchboxes like other cities. Newer properties and plenty of stuff to do around obviously if you love nature. Milton has number of parks and conservation areas in and around the city, providing residents with many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Move to Milton, its in the making of better future for tomorrow.
I agreed in everything about the cons, and the only positive point in Milton is the Nature, for sure - Schools are not good, Its a very racist place and the public transportation is a disaster! About the prices of the houses you can save just a little bit - true, however you will spend way more in gas and food because they are a lot expensive comparing to Toronto, does not worth at all! I do not recommend nobody move to Milton.
Agreed.. i felt the schools have issues here.. just moved in 2 months and my 6 years old already having issues with kids bullying... never had heard any issue from the last school in mississauga...
