We have lived in Oakville since 1994, the bus service locally is lousy, many more condominium buildings are forthcoming as well recently there have been several built. Everything else you mentioned is spot-on! We love Oakville and my brother and I were born and raised in Oakville.
I am definitely starting to see more condo developments happening. I do find it’s still a lot less then the neighbouring cities which is good! I absolutely love Oakville. Such a good place to live!
@First name Last name Agreed, we miss going to the waterfront festival, many good times were had there over the past years, and midnight madness has been cancelled, unfortunately. We agree with your assessment of Burlington, much more fun things to do there, but many long time residents of Oakville are complaining that Oakville has grown too much and they don't like it. They don't consider Oakville sleepy or small any longer.
To me the biĝgest negative of Oakville is the lack of shopping malls - Oakville Place is absolutely underwhelming and small and not sufficient for the population - can't hold a candle to Burlington or Mississauga when it comes to shopping
Still not sure how the people afford 1.3 mil house with $180k household salary. The price are way high than California with no high paying jobs. Canadian market look way risky.
That’s a good question. I do feel Oakville is going to continue to be on the pricier side compared to the neighbouring cities. Not as much development and more single family homes. It’s a very desirable place to live. I think we’ll see a more continued drop in 2023 in the larger cities but things have been levelling out more compared to the last 6-8 months. If Oakville drops in price I predict it’ll only be another 3-4%
Hello bro , iIgot admission in Sheridan College,Oakville so after seeing this video i am worried about the public transportation ! 😢. I am from India .
lol hey Shas, Are you talking about Dundas street? or Dundas Ontario? For this video. What I was meaning is that Oakville has a lot less new build condos then its surrounding cities. Burlington and Mississauga have a lot! :)

I never knew stucco being a very very good financial asset to have. I think Oakville is 50% stucco. Truly a great municipality to be.

Trading financial markets.
Would be nice to know the median price instead of average.
Wait, what? 76k per what? Year? Month? Week? HOUR?! No way its 76k per hour 😮 2:12
Can you make a video for international students such as rent and part-time jobs in Oakville as many of my friends all looking for this video.
Sure! No problem
Do you think from your experience that current housing prices in Oakville are justified and not jump up tremendously just bcz good PR of that place?
