❤❤❤very impressed with the fabrics. And hearing you say how the fabrics felt helps. I love seeing fabrics. Sometimes the names ,you wonder how high they were. I love Dandelion and Tom is so patient.
Hello Holly, I hope you feel better soon. Both boxes are great. Thank you for sharing. I would maybe try a cream or tan background. Have a wonderful day!!
Dear Holly, I pray you feel much better tomorrow! I love the sew sampler box. I might try a white or green (from the collection) color background for the sweet Peach quilt.
I love the June Sew Sampler box! The pattern and fabric is beautiful! I do like the darker tan as the background color! I’m not really a peachy person!and I don’t really like them much but might make an exception if they were in a peach cobbler warm out of the oven!!! I’m hoping I will be able to purchase the June box if/when they have some available! Thank you as always for sharing! I do hope tomorrow is a better pain day. This whole week has been a rough one for me. Although, I don’t share your diagnosis, I do have chronic pain issues that flare up from time to time! Sometimes I can power through but that can make it worse! Please take care of yourself!❤
for the price you just can’t beat sew sampler box. they really have stepped up their game as you said. what color would i use … well i know it wouldn’t be mustard lol😂…. in the other box that dark purple one is like wow!… glad you stopped by as you make us feel better too! do we get to see the quilt you said you finished? love that danolion! squirrel patrol at its finest.
I like the honey bun. I would go with green for the background, that is because it is my favorite color. I hope you have a better day tomorrow. I was extra achy today myself. I wonder if we are going to get some rainy weather.
The little house pins would be great for appliqué. Love ❤️ Fig Tree fabric! I agree with you , I would use the dark instead of peach. Dandelion💕💕💕Thanks Holly!
Just love Dandelion, she knows where those squirrels are for sure. Good to see her all healthy again. You are sew right, both box’s were good. I wrote down nans of 6 of those fabrics from sewers club. 😂😂 Holly you could use any darker color with the Honey Bun!! I like the pattern that is on the card! I don’t have that box of pattern just saw it on Chantel’s channel. Thanks Holly, ❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰
What a pleasant surprise this morning with your video! ❤Beautiful nails-love that color! I got my Sew Sampler box and was surprised again what a great value this box is. I’m planning on making this project using my stash as the background-I have some bright yellow that I’m going to use up, lol. Nice selection in the other box. I am trying to sew down my stash, but I love watching your purchases! Enjoy your weekend, Holly! Be well!! ❤❤❤
I saved this video until Monday in case you didn’t do one for Monday. I love the Dogist! I might use a medium dark green for the background for the Sew Sampler quilt, but I could also see a nice brown. Every time you open Sewer’s Club I want it! I have so much fabric I have trouble justifying buying more right now.
Hi Holly! Catching up from the weekend, I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well but I am thinking those boxes and fabric must have helped a bit! You help all of us with your generous kind spirit! We took Bailey (black australian shepherd) on lots of long walks this weekend with the cooler temps and boy, were there A LOT of rabbits! It was nuts! Love Dandelion's concentration! Bailey knows the word "squirrel" too! They are so funny!
Good morning Holly!! ☕️🏖️ Our last full day and night at the beach. I am always happy to see you have released a video! I am sorry to hear you aren’t at your best and I pray when you wake, you are improved. 🙏🏻💜. Thank you for showing the whole Honey Bun, I didn’t undo mine yet, it came right before leaving for vacation. I do really like the beautiful fabrics in there! I like peach sometimes but you now have me thinking about other options! LOL The stash builder box was lovely too! Dandelion looks like she is feeling good and energetic, happy girl!
Rest up and feel better 😊. Thank you for sharing. I am expecting my next Sewers Club box soon, looking forward to ward to it! Loving the Dandelion zen moments!
Sewers club is very cool. Lots of fabrics I’ve not seen before.. One of these days I may cave. I signed up for Intrepid Threads Tilda club and the Creating memories from Julie too on your wonderful recommendation. Dandelion just makes me giggle 😂😂
I received the Sew Sampler box and the pins are amazing. They are the ones Kimberly has been using. As for the pattern I am making it right now and just using a white on white background. Hopefully you feel better soon.
Holly I hope you feel better quickly! I love watching Dandelion chasing squirrels. She sits so quietly watching them it's amazing how still she can be!
Hi Holy, I hope you feel better soon. I used to get the Fat Quarter box, but stopped due to the endless Lori Holt fabric ( sorry to her fans, but her fabric all looks the same to me), and the weird fillers ( like pins I can't pick up). I do like this fabric, but to me, it's too skinny. I agree on the background. It takes away from the fabrics. Love seeing Dandelion on squirrel patrol 😂
A lovely, long Zen moment with Dandelion. Such intense concentration. Thanks, Holly, I just love looking at all the fabrics, and I hope all future days are good days.
Jeff Dunham. I have fibromyalgia and I feel your pain. The days of flareups can be debilitating. Glad you still came on to brighten our day. Take it easy today. TFS
So sorry you had a rough day. Hope today is oh so much better ! It was a lovely surprise to see you this morning. Today is (finally) moving day. Soon I can get my sewjo back online@!@😊😊😊
Hi Holly. Hope your day gets better. My bad day was yesterday. For some reason my right knee has decided to flare up since Memorial Day. I know what it is like to wake up and not know what your day will be like. I have many friends with long term issues. Loved the boxes. Sending healing energies and prayers ❤❤. I am glad you went ahead and made the videos. I couldn’t sew yesterday. Today I am going to push myself to sew. Take care and rest knowing you accomplished something today. We love you. Hugs and love.
Hi Holly. I know you said it's a bad day for you, and I hope it gets better. You are still smiling and I am thankful for seeing you today! These boxes were both awesome! I too would try a pale tan or maybe a cream/tan grunge for the peach quilt background. I do love Krista Mosers patterns and she usually does helpful videos too. I loved the sewers club box with all of the the ombres! Oh Dandelion is such a trip... she's the huntress looking for some play friends!
Thanks for telling us the categories for the Sewer's Club box. There were several this month that weren't my taste, so I'm trying to figure out which category they are in. The project box is tempting. I like the Sew Sampler, but discontinued it last year because I needed to use what I had, and because it always seemed to be florals. I love florals, just not as much as they were sending.
I agree, I like the design but not the background. I will have to read commits to see what others think would be a better background. I'm thinking of turning the pattern into a table runner and then I would have enough of the honey bun to do at least 4 for gift giving. I love the sewer's club fabric choices. I hope your joints ease up and your day becomes more comfortable. Love Miss Dandelion-on a side note- I also love those goofy squirrels. They tease our dogs and help exercise and entertain them.(All for free)
Hope you are feeling so much better. You are a joy to watch any day. I really like both of the boxes. Beautiful fabric. And Dandelion is adorable always. 😊
I hope you’ll recover soon. It’s a pleasure watching your video. It must be awesome to receive those boxes full of fabrics at home. I love them both. Always in love with Dandelion.
Hi Holly! It was so nice to see you on a Saturday morning! I'm sorry your hurting 🙏! Those were good boxes! Pretty fat quarters! Dandelion was trying so hard to find Tom a squirrel! Feel better soon!
I hope by the time you read this Holly that you are feeling better. Sending feel better wishes your way. Some lovely fabric today and what a joy with today's zen moment. Thank you. Take care until next time and thank you. :)
It seems to me that some of those fabrics would coordinate very well with Marcia Derse fabrics! Especially the huge red/black sunflowers, the cosmos whatever, and that last green one. I hope I get some of those in my box this month.
The Banyan assorted pink floral looked like two different colors - was it also an ombre? I can't imagine how they put together these boxes. I like the last one also, would be good in a scrappy tree block. Dandielion is too cute. Look at her pointing out the squirrels!
I am so sorry that you are feeling badly 😢 today. If I could reach thru the screen and give you a warm hug, I most certainly would. You did just fine today and enjoyed seeing all the fabric. As for the pattern, I would use a rich cream color. I love you and your positivity 😇 even on a bad day.❤❤❤
I’m sorry you’re not doing well today. As you’ve found out, for your own well-being, sometimes you just have to push through. I’m sending thoughts for you to feel better soon.
They were both really good boxes. Loved a lot of the fat quarter box. And the sew sampler box was cute.... I would use a dark natural with it. It would bring out the reds. I do hope you start to feel better today. Sending fell better hugs. See you on your next video.
I love little house pins, but I keep them in the pin cushion. Mine came in a tiny bottle. The Fig tree fabric is pretty. I think I agree that the light brown would be a good background. Have a great day!
I am not a fan of peaches either, two reasons, the fuzz is just awful, how do you bite into that?! The other reason is i was sick at one point when i was around 10 so my mother smashed up the pills and put them in peach ice cream. ALL peach products taste like penicillin to me. sorry peach lovers!
Hi Holly, you are right it's Jeffery Dunham 😂 I may try the sewer club stash box but I am not that creative in using those bright prints. Is there a particular pattern you (or anyone who reads this) have tried using fabric like that, that you thought it looked amazing? Thanks for sharing!
Those prints are huge and/or very busy and do not really have a focal point (like the larger prints of Tula Pink). The answer may be to cut them small! Perhaps simple 3x3, 3x5 or 5x5 pieces (or whatever size you want) -- the idea being you would get splashes of color or a color wash effect. I am currently loving these sizes for a Quilt As You Go method (similar to how the Daisy & Grace templates work, but I don't use those templates; I just cut my background 3/4 - 1/2" larger). You should be able to find the Daisy & Grace templates in a TH-cam video.
@@TheHawkeyeQuilter I have some tula and a variety of different fabric I received in a MSQ mystery box that is not my normal. This is a great tip. Perhaps I will make a nine patch with them. Never heard of Daisy and Grace i will check them out. I love a qayg! Thanks 😁

I have a question for you.. Do you pre wash all your fabric before use? My friends has various opinions on this. Thanks and feel better. Two more nice boxes.
Fabrics are beautiful, but I need to ask a question. How does anyone decide how to sort and store them? What I mean is, do you keep them together by color or by size of print or do you put ones next to each other if they blend well or by each designer or with a pattern to make the item it was sent with? Or maybe all of these ideas! How do you keep them all straight in your head. How do you know where they all are? Just wondering, I don’t want to misplace any of them or forget where I put them!
HI Holly , 4 days late watching this sure hope you are feeling better. Even though you do not like peaches glad you like the fabric it is very pretty. I have yet worked the a jelly roll. How about doing an off white or cream color back ground. Stash builder was very pretty also. The green stipple from stash builder would make a nice back ground for your honey bun strip. You be well and be safe ❤
Hi Holly. I wanted you to know I watch all of your videos on my TV where I can't like or comment. This is my phone 😊

Sew Sampler has been so good the last few months and I really like all the fabrics in this months Sewers Club box. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Holly! Hope you feel better very soon 💕 i love the honey bun. I'd use white or cream for a background fabric. See ya soon ❤️

Love these Saturday morning surprises! Hope you are feeling better.
I am so glad I signed back up for sew sampler!!!!!
So sorry today is not a good day, hope you sleep well tonight and wake up refreshed and feeling 100% better
I love honey buns. They don’t make them very often anymore
Wonderful boxes. Thanks Holly. Hope today will be brighter for you. Blessings.
Prayers that you are feeling better soon. You are an amazing person and bright ray of sunshine to us all.
Lovely fabrics.

I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling well. I hope it doesn't last long. Love the boxes and love your videos!
My first choice for the background whould be a green ( my fav colour) then I agree a tan or even a darker cream.
Day 8 after foot surgery, sitting on the couch trying NOT to nap. Fun to watch you today!
I pray that you are feeling better soon. That Dandelion and her expressions, too cute.
so sorry, you are having a flare up. I love the June berry Dahlias and I'm sure others do too. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you .
Dandelion… if I sit here long enough, there is bound to be a squirrel!.?!?
Hope you get to feeling better...... glad to see Dandelion is❤
Hoping you have a better day tomorrow. Stay well.
@@TheHawkeyeQuilter I have some tula and a variety of different fabric I received in a MSQ mystery box that is not my normal. This is a great tip. Perhaps I will make a nine patch with them. Never heard of Daisy and Grace i will check them out. I love a qayg! Thanks 😁
Thanks Holly for sharing with us even when you don’t feel well!! ❤
Dandelion looks like he’s been stood up by his friends. 😂 so cute…
You do the best job displaying the boxes
Good morning all. Holly, I hope you are feeling better today.
Sew Sampler this month is not my cup of tea. I know there're folks out there who will love it, and I don't want to yuck on their yum, so I'm just going to leave it at that as far as negative comments go. I do like the leaf print at about 9:28 (and in different colorways at 10:05 & 10:42) very much. (Your comment about "birds in the jungle" made me think of one of my favorite bits of trivia. You know the stereotypical "ooh ooh ooh AH AH AH!" monkey sounds that old movies used to play when there was a jungle scene? That's actually a kookaburra. But you probably knew that, and once again I'm getting off topic (to the shock of exactly no one LOL.)) As for what background I'd use on the quilt, it's black all the way for sure. It would really make the colors pop.
I actually prefer the new Sewers Club box because it's just a scooch bigger than the old one. It's a lot easier to get the fabric in & out of the box with that little bit of extra room. And as you pointed out, there's still the cute tape. Regarding the fabrics, the pattern of the Scribble is really nice - it looks like leafy twigs - although the color isn't the greatest IMHO. Everything else in the box is right up my alley. That Plum Al Fresco is gorgeous, and the colors do look like a fresh plum that has been cut open; there's some reddish-purple for the skin, and then the red and orange flesh inside. So pretty. The Sunflowers - you don't even need to make anything with it. Just press it, frame it, and hang it on the wall. My June box also had some of the Purple Painterly, and for those of you playing along at home, I gotta tell you it's 10 times more beautiful in person. Lastly, the Banyan Assorted Green - well, I think that's my favorite one in the box.
Holly, thank you for sharing your boxes with us, and I hope you make something fun & lovely with the fabrics.
Had a chuckle over the kookaburra. We frequently hear loon calls being used in deep dark jungles. Who knew they had loons in the Amazon? 😂😂
I hope you feel better soon! The Sewers Cub box is a treat!
❤ Love both boxes. Hope you feel better soon. Love you lots.
sky blue or tan - definitely not the peach
I have a question for you.. Do you pre wash all your fabric before use? My friends has various opinions on this. Thanks and feel better. Two more nice boxes.
I do not prewash unless it's a very dark color that I'm afraid might bleed.
For random fat quarters, those not a part of collection, I sort them by color. I have several clear bins that I store them in.
Great to see you happy face and thankful for you going above and beyond despite your pain. Sending hugs!
Opps! YOUR happy face not “you”
I watch that instagram page also!!
I will use white like this all the color will show better or tan
I agree, Sew Sampler have stepped up their game.
I think a grunge but not sure which one 😂
So sorry about your day. The boxes are neat.
Prayers. Sorry it’s a rough day
I like this honey so pretty!
I like the tan too.😊
