Julie had an exquisite taste . Her subscriptions are so beautiful. She always features Australian designers , which I love them all . My first trip to Australia was 26 years ago and visit a quilt shop there . Since then I love everything thing about sewing

When I was 8, my sister and i, along with our favorite teenaged babysitter, were horsing around and my sister fell into a brass table with my mom’s beautiful tea set from somewhere in the orient. We broke or chipped almost every piece. You know we sat there and glued it all back together and she didnt know it until 40 years later when she noticed a small crack in one of the piece. It was a thanksgiving and my sister and i were there. It was quite a lovely moment of laughing and remembering. Mom couldnt believe it and laughed too.

As always I love the fabrics but it’s the stories and breathing that keep me coming back 🙂 The story of dad so reminds me of the times. With my parents it was martinis but it also reminded me of all the wonderful days of Mad Men and I must rewatch that whole series again this summer. If you haven’t watched it you must.

Kids grow so fast, I think I would start making her little dresses or tops now for River, also a cute little jacket with a hood would be sweet also. Love those buttons, I would be tempted to sew them into something just like they are in a circle, for a fun design.

Happy Monday! My weekend was very good, with a bit of sewing on Saturday, and a whole day of working on props for Midsummer Scream with the haunt group Mr O & I are in on Sunday. The feeling of accomplishment makes up for the sore muscles today, LOL. Anyway, on to the boxes!
Gotta laugh at myself a bit here. When you were opening the Colors of Tilda packet, I was thinking "How strange, these don't look like their typical fabrics..." when I suddenly realized I was confusing Tilda with Tula Pink. Very different styles indeed! The third one in the bundle with the cream/white background is particularly nice, as is the one right after it with the blue-tinted flowers (which should NOT have taken four attempts to spell correctly) against the pinkish-purple background. Heck, let's face it, they're all beautiful. I like that they included a coordinating solid with all the prints.
As for the Tilda Club box, they have really good documentation. They tell you everything that's in the box, and at the same time they keep it pretty generic for the most part by saying (for example) "zipper charm" instead of, say, "antique brass butterfly zipper charm." It's the perfect balance between no documentation at all, and so much documentation that it spoils the surprise. And I was definitely surprised by the buttons - the documentation said "four buttons" so I thought literally four buttons. How delightful that it's four packets, each one a little different but similar enough that you can mix-and-match between them. (I can't believe I'm this excited over **buttons** of all things, LOL). The zipper pouch embellishment box is wonderful - such pretty colors, and I love that the zippers match the tassels. And I have *got* to make one of those seat belt cushions. Actually I need to make several - driver side of my car, passenger side for when Mr O is driving, and a third one for passenger side of his truck. Yes, this is a very good box indeed!

Dad story- One Thanksgiving my hubby, cousin's hubby and my dad were talking about lunch boxes while watching football. My dad dropped off to sleep for a short nap. During his slumber, the subject changed from lunch boxes to jock straps. Dad woke up to say "We only got paper bags when I was in school"

If your seatbelt is not comfortable, you can adjust where it lands on your shoulder by moving the spot where it comes out of the side of the car. You can slide it up and down. I saw a video about this. I will try to find it and email it to you.

Hi Holly, the Tilda fabric is so pretty and those buttons are cute. That's a funny story about your dad and a super cute picture at the end. The anniversary of my dad's passing is coming up on June 30. It's been 17 years. I just lost my mom 4 days ago on June 20, she was 90 years old. I'm living in a fog, my brain isn't working and I don't like this feeling. You look very pretty today. See you next time.

Hi Holly, here's a fast, and tasty recipe for "lasagna ".
-One bag of frozen stuffed ravioli -One jar of spaghetti sauce
-Cooked ground beef ( if your hubby is like mine, and wants meat with every meal).
    -shredded bag if mozzarella cheese
-put some sauce in the bottom of your pan. ( size depends on how much you want to make. You can make 2 and freeze one).
-put frozen ravioli on top of sauce. Add some ground cooked and burger, and layer with some cheese.
    -repeat for a second layer.
-cover with foil and bake 350 for 40 minutes. This freezes well too.
Add a salad and some good bread for a yummy Italian dinner. ❤

@DandelionStitches Mississippi roast uses a few pepperoncini peppers, a pack of ranch dressing mix, a pack of au jus mix, and I add a regular pack of gravy mix and a bit of water. Put it all in the slow cooker and let ot go until it falls apart.

  • @GinaGrowe
    @GinaGrowe 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I meant to ask you at the Pink Chahoeyhoey if those pink round circles were the thingies that you plant cause they're wild flowers? The funniest thing - I got a subscription box (might have been Natalie's of Ginger Quilter) that had what I thought was flower seed paper and I put it out in my flower pot, tossed some potting soil on top then started watering. Suddenly the soil started erupting and turns out it was a dish cloth! Bout' peed myself from the fright and laughing.
I'd put that Intrepid Thread ribbon around the stiletto - looks nice and chunky. Oh! You could use it in your hair like a pencil! Well, that might be to heavy? When my hair was long I used very ornate letter openers - they looked like knives, never knew when one would come in handy.
The new Tilda patterns are really nice - I plan on getting some of the Christmasish line. Ohhh - cool bag kit. Can't go wrong with Kimberbell embellishments, very pretty zipper colors. Those would look good on the by Annie Drop Zone pouches.
I like the size of that car strap buddy. I have the sheep skin ones on all the car straps but they get rather hot if the AC isn't running.
Great box! So this was like a stash buster box? Cute picture Holly.
