- One of the most satisfying villian take down of all time (in my opinion) took place in The Punisher Season 1 Episode 12 Home. What a brutal episode. HOW is Frank still alive?

Frank is known to have a nearly superhuman pain tolerance so it aint easy taking him down.

You can tell that Agent Orange made Billy feel a way he's always tried to avoid. Russo comes from nothing and is all about his physical image, while Rawlings apparently is descended from old money. And despite how far in life Russo has come, Rawlins just treats him like some commoner, which is what Billy _doesn't_ want to be.
Micro coming out from the body bag is actually a reference to the beginning of the Punisher movie with Thomas Jane where Frank comes out from a body bag at the beginning

This episode is just so great, the writing, the gore, the clenched fist tension. The punisher is easily in my opinion the best Marvel show and this episode shows why

The storyline is a combination of different Punisher runs. For instance Billy Russo was mafia hitmen in the comics.
I actually think that it's better that Billy was a personal contact of Frank's in this version. It's always interesting when a villain has some sort of close connection with the protagonist that they opposed.

Yeah this series did Russo a lot better. Especially making him a “pretty boy”. And then his face being jigsawed.
Jay he was a pretty boy in the comics, he was nicknamed billy the beaut or something before frank turned him into jigsaw
And Rawlins was in the Punisher Max run. Good villain, really made you hate the guy in both versions
I actually don’t think that Frank stabbed Agent Orange anywhere vital the first time. If I had I to guess, I think all he would have hit was thick muscle, not organ tissue. I’m not a doctor, so I’m not an authority, but I think that would serve to explain how he was still standing after that.

This is vastly different from BW's reaction. They were squirming and horrified by Rawlins' death, but meanwhile the Normies are fucking like "RIP OUT HIS HEART AND SHOW IT TO HIM"
There was a study that showed how special forces units across the globe dealt with torture if they got captured. Many stated they thought of sexual desires and lustful thoughts to increase a hormone in the human body that chemically makes you feel good and acts as a pain duller.
I think the point is, regardless of whether it's accurate with the comics or not, is that it's cohesive in terms of storytelling in the actual show. Which just verifies that any story can be altered and adapted if done well. This just gives me more hope for Venom, as it's not accurate, but it tells a compeling and interesting alternate version of it, which I appreciate.

The show has elements from the Welcome Back, Frank story (which is why Micro says that at the end of the pilot), PunisherMax, and Year One. But Lewis and Madani were created for TV. Agent Orange, Billy, Micro, and Curtis are all from the comics but Curtis is very different. Karen doesn't interact with Frank much in the comics but the showrunners liked their chemistry in DD so they added her.
In general Frank tends to fight the mob more than other military guys (for instance Billy is a mob enforcer in the comics), but the stories hit the same beats and have the same themes. Plus Punisher was originally a Vietnam vet, so modern comics (post 2000) reframed him as an Afghanistan vet to make it more modern.

the reveal of frank killing zubair (sorry if i spelled it wrong) felt like a duh moment for me. i didn't know that we the audience didn't know that frank killed him? it seemed obvious to me.
We did, or at least suspected, but Madani didn't. I felt that this reveal was mainly for her benifit.

Hey Normies!!! I have been watching your reactions to my favorite TV shows (GOT, WW). You guys do a great job with them. But I feel like you guys have made up your mind with this show that it's not gonna be great or something. It's clearly evident from the fact that you guys are just being too funny in intense scenes or overly critical of the show's writing rather than just have fun and get into it like you always do. It just spoils the mood. Even Chris was weird. Somehow i don't understand that. Just a honest feedback from a Normie Fan. Lets be honest, we all wanted Rawlins dismembered alive.
How is that sick, when you're in a survival situation like Frank you go for the soft targets (eyes, throat, groin etc. etc.) It's how soldiers are taught to fight when they don't have their firearm available during training because it's the quickest way to put down your attacker.
But you can tell they were not talking about a survival situation. They just wanted that asshat to suffer. Frank didn't even have to put his thumbs in the guys eye-holes, Rawlins was already as good as dead. But we know Franks kind of a nutcase, its normal for him; he gets a pass. A little odd when its a viewers first thought.
Lol Frank should have brought a bottle of sleeping pills and asked Agent Orange very nicely to swallow it all. That is what's humane right?
