- In this video we show you how to build the Series 1780 test stand, how to install your motor and propeller, and how to perform manual and automated propulsion tests.
The Series 1780 can measure up to 75 kgf of thrust and 40 Nm of torque, and comes in single motor or coaxial configuration.

Beautiful experiment to test thrust.
thank you!
Good work

Красивая девочка! И умненькая!
🎉🎉 can you please tell me more about the motor
Thanks for your comment! The motor is the Titan Air TA130 by Xoar. Here is some of our data from tests using this motor: database.tytorobotics.com/motors/3x6/xoar-ta130-25-kv80
but your prop ran reverse at the intro...so even the basics are unknown?
Nice stuff! Could you please tell me the power to mass (thrust) function you use? P = F(M, D, rho) where D is prop diameter. I have seen 3 different versions, and do not know which is correct.
Thanks!
Hello! I am one of the tool's designer. The formulas you find online and in research papers are great approximations for starting out and selecting which range of prop will be needed. You'll will typically then need experimental data to obtain exact and comparable figures. You can look at our database (database.tytorobotics.com) for such data or use one of our tools.
Power calculated via current and voltage, from what I recall. Thrust measured from a load cell thrust sensor. Torque measured by load cell.
@@LydellAaron -- Hi is there a formula? I don't have thrust or torque sensors.
@@customdevelopment136 oh, I thought you bought one of their units, and were asking which equation they used in their system? (P = IV). My mistake.
@@LydellAaron The equation looks something like P=(Mg3/npi)^1/2/r. If you have prop diameter and load, then you can calculate power needed.
Conducting a test inside a room where the trust hits a wall must greatly effect readings compared to test outside?
in Austria we called it "Bodeneffekt"
and I belive your right.
They have a chimney or something unless it's all for a single video.
What is the name of the aluminum block rod, that you're used in the video
If we understand your question correctly, they are called T-slotted beams

How much KV motor would be sufficient for providing 5.5kg thrust
Hi Shivansh, that's a good question. I pulled some data from our motor/propeller testing database (database.tytorobotics.com/tests), and used the filters to look at motors providing at least 5.5 kg of thrust. Motors that reached 5.5 kg included KV120, KV80, KV29. Hope that helps!
Where do you get the propellers from ?
We get them from a couple different sources, mainly Xoar and Mejzlik.
@@tytorobotics Xoar don’t sell to individual buyers !
How much is motor and propeller cost price
Hi please help me for calculating power of quadcopter into fly hovering
Hi @Natthaphon, thanks for your comment. I think you will find this article from our website helpful for making your calculations: www.tytorobotics.com/blogs/articles/how-to-increase-drone-flight-time-and-lift-capacity
@@tytorobotics -- Thanks for this wonderful article!
Question - As you know hover ratio Hr = T(thrust kgf)/P (W) is proportional to 1/D (prop diameter m). So shouldn't the first thing to improve efficiency Hr be to use a longer propeller -- which may require a larger frame and a stronger motor? I can understand that some people already have a frame and must use it. But others may be in a position to purchase a frame. Aside from the issue of practicality, what stops us from having a larger and larger propeller and boundless efficiency? Is there a physical law that limits large diameter props efficiency?
@@customdevelopment136 Hello! I am one of the tool's designer. You are right that increasing the propeller size is on of the first option to look at to increase efficiency. The limit of propeller size is the impracticality of having larger propellers. They are slower to react to disturbances, heavier, and require a bigger airframe. For extremely large and efficient propellers, look at the records of human powered helicopters; th-cam.com/video/syJq10EQkog/w-d-xo.html! You can see how such vehicles would not be very practical outside of those competitions.
I am interesting this video

How much thrust gives that size propeller? , I mean the maximum thrust
Good question. It depends on a lot of factors, but a prop of this size (48" diameter), would probably max out around 50 - 60 kgf of thrust
@@tytorobotics thanks so much😁
@@thestrongman11 we had about 55 kgf thrust with our 1,07 m prop at 17 h.p. on our motorhangglider

и где 75 кг???
Я так понял, что приспособа расчитана на максимальную тягу 75 кг. Но тогда у них должен быть движок киловатт на 20.
