Dynamic driving is all about balancing precision and assertiveness on the road. It's like being a master chef, but with a car - you need to know when to turn up the heat and when to simmer down. Whether you're maneuvering through urban traffic or cruising on the open highway, mastering this balance is crucial. In this video, I'll walk you through some key techniques to enhance your driving skills, ensuring you're equipped for any driving scenario.
Thanks for watching, everyone. If you found this video helpful, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for more driving tips and tricks. Stay sharp, drive safe!

Seriously though... Thank you ♥️👊
Me too!
driving for higher miles per gallon while not depending on tires to slow down too much (near grip limit) is like relaxed paced endurance racing, avoiding need for pitstops for fuel , tires etc. @@MickDrivesCars
I watch Conquer Driving a lot too. Also Ashley Neal.
My dad is a textbook example of a dynamic driver, most of the time he's just chilling, always planning ahead, not braking too aggresively, but he can also just absolutely send it on a straight road and have a little fun. Can only hope to become a driver like him
Facts same
Don't use the word hope!
It takes, the correct attitude, planning, dedication, and application to be a good driver.
Don't hope to be a good driver, work hard and you will be a good driver, have faith in yourself!
Unfortunately, the way we learn to drive does not include the fast part of being dynamic, only the gentle part. This leads to a lot of drivers that are scared of the throttle and have frustrated cues of traffic behind them.
So damn true
Ah, a fellow American.
@@matthewmorgan582 UK actually
Where i live some of the gentle parts are even left out. For example, we get taught to never limo stop at stop signs because stopping harshly ensures we wont get failed in our driving test for rolling through the stop sign. I think that like with most education systems people are being taught how to pass a test and not necessarily how to actually drive
@@matthewmorgan582 no there’s only certain states in america that have wild drivers
100%. I love seeing how gentle I can drive and then sending it when appropriate. Even in my 2013 Elantra sedan 😂
Haha like I mentioned with the Kia Picanto, car doesn't really matter 👊
elantra is not really a boring car i must say!!
@@daniboglut5120 I agree! it does have variable valve timing and it's only 2600 lb. 145 HP is fine for it imo
I have the same car I do the same 😂
My dad taught me how to ease off the brake when coming to a stop. People really arent instructed how to drive a car, about weight transfer, grip, when to accelerate for safety as well as brake. You're taught how to stay in some lines and park.
Basically driving schools only teach you how to get from A to B behind a wheel in a safe manner and most people stay at that level. People like us, understand that driving is a skill and also a craft and you can spend a lifetime honing it.
I’ve started to enjoy managing other drivers. Keeping crawling in traffic instead of going fast then breaking. Leaving a bigger gap to the car ahead if another car is behind me. Stopping more comfortably. Shifting smoother. Becomes a game to how perfect I can be
Oh 100%! I'm actually thinking about making a video about ''controlling other drivers'' along those lines.
I love your expression: “spirited driving”. To me, spirited or dynamic driving points to a mental state often referred to as presence, or flow or mindfulness…fully involved and ready to react to what arises. My driving has become increasingly spirited since discovering the channel 🙏
It's especially useful in places which frequently have icy and snowy roads. Some people seem to think you can drive normally even though the grip is limited
Yes when the roads are iced got to put classical music on and drive like you coming back from church
@@seebluI actually have the song hallelujah from Shrek on my playlist (amongst all the rock and heavy metal) so I know what you mean 😂

I'm 30 now and have been driving long distance to work since my very early 20s and I was quite an aggressive driver. It's only recently that I started driving smoothly and it feels so fulfilling and made me love driving even more. Love the channel. Keep it up 👌
I learned about the smooth stop and not feeling the start or end of a corner through Jackie Stewart's book Principles Of Performance Driving. It really took some time and effort to get those things down. Good points about the breadth of serious drivers.
I'll order that now, sounds like a great read.
I learned by driving

I learned about limousine stopping...thank you Mick! This channel has contributed massively to my improvement in driving!

Yes everyone's been messaging me about this video. I must have stumbled into a good one :)
I'm humbly proud to say that I found out about this limousine stop on my own by just driving dynamically, and now it's just something I do subconsciously while daily driving. 😎👍
Honestly one of the best and most straightforward videos I've seen on what it means to be a "good" driver. Thanks for this one!
The dynamic level of my driving is directly proportional to much good sleep I've had.
Great video, fist class presentation.
It also kind of works the other way. I had competed in motorsport two years before I started driving on the road. Once I had passed my test and was able to drive smoothly and carefully, i noticed an improvement in my smoothness and overall times when competing.
Damn. Very interesting... never would have imagined that
Am glad someone talked about this. I hate it when someone jerks the car during braking and accerelation. It not only becomes an uncomfortable ride but it also causes more tear and wear on car parts
The ‘limo stop’ should be a common practice
100%!
I just love the way you explain things man, agree with everything you say cheers for making great vids

with manual this gets a whole new level, since you can engine brake, or put it out of gear to roll to stop lights and so on
And I get sooo frustrated when I’m leaving the highway on a long slope and people in front of me use their brakes instead of engine braking.
They slow down way too early.
I always love when there’s no one in front of me.
The man said subscribe - I subscribe. Greetings from Serbia, it's 23:30 and I'm binging your videos. Good stuff, looking forward for more content!
Thank you mate! Welcome
The biggest challenge for me is staying gentle when other traffic around is going full aggro 😂
Haha it helps having a car that's faster than everyone else - gives you a sense of ''If I wanted to be ahead of you, I could lol''
I usually sit really far back when driving casually. Not quite elbow delete, but not far off. But when i feel like doing some 'spirited' driving i move the seat forward.
When i had a slower car i used to be trying to go as fast as i could showing off my 75hp mk3 and 90hp MK5 clio's were, but since buying my MK4 RS with 210hp, i dont feel the need to go fast as much anymore. Dont get me wrong i dont really follow these new 20mph everywhere speed limits in wales, but i dont drive anywhere near as aggressive as i used to.
Love your car and everything you stand for ❤
i love this type of videos mate thanks for this video

Really? This guy is dangerous and obviously inexperienced. His advice is questionable at best. He takes unnecessary risks and suggests to his viewers do the same. There are better channels with qualified advanced driving instructors out there to watch.
@@lollington_bearI tend to agree with you!

im from nyc and watched ur videos like a week before i took my road test. im 17 got my full license and some of your driving tips definitely helped
Love to hear it!
Now you've got your licence you can start actually learning to drive :)
@@MickDrivesCars hell yeah man your tips help me alot along with dads teaching id say im pretty decent
The limousine stop is how bus drivers are trained to stop (or at least how I was trained). I was told there should be no recoil braking (where the vehicle jerks backwards - as you mentioned - after you stop), as it would send any standing passengers to the floor or out the windscreen. After learning it, I started doing that with my braking in cars too. But as anyone who knows me will tell you I'm very good at full sending it (even perhaps when I shouldn't).
This is a really enjoyable video to watch however I do not know why this was recommended to me. I got my licence a week ago, have been driving for 20 min since then and am just happy if I dont bump into anything as of right now. Guess ill be coming back to this in a year or so when I can drive safely with confidence.
Edit: after looking into some videos this is great, far from what I am able to do rn but helpful nonetheless. Thank you so much for your content!
it took me ages to learn that after i drive spiritually, that it’s okay to then drive nice smooth and sensible when i hit a busy road
Fantastic video, imo. I've driven professionally for a few different jobs and while I loved the times where I could light up and have fun with the car while driving, the gentle stuff really is where I take pride in my driving skills.
applies to several things in life, if you catch my drift
Amazing video you help me so much on the road good tips
More people need to watch this, It's alarming how some drivers don't know some of these things. Honestly, I love driving because of this...
Brilliantly made videos thank you
Yes mick!! A lot of people need to see this
No one taught me "limousine driving/stopping". I observed them and picked up how smoothly they would stop, and now it's a natural behaviour. I love it when I am first to the lights and I'm slowly encroaching the line, and then they change to green and my momentum gives me a smooth off too, leaving the drivers behind me who were too close and had already stopped.
thanks a lot brother!
Get well soon brother. Nice video as always!
Thank you mate, feeling much better now 👊
Yeah I subscribed now cause it ain't your first video I saw and you obviously know a thing or two about driving and I like your energy, you're a likeable person, keep going :)
The nope sign is genious :D
I hope you stop 'feeling under the weather' soon :)
Yeah I'm doing much better now, thanks ♥️
Dynamic driving is something I'm still learning for many years. It was relatively easy to learn how to drive fast. It took a little more experience to learn to drive slow, but smoothly. Now I have to wait until spring with fast driving. It's dark AF most of the time and I can't drive fast when visibility is next to none. Sure, when I can use my high beams I can drive almost as fast as during the day, but when they blind me with lights from the other lane I have to brake and it's jerky driving.
Why do you gotta break?
Just found out today that I'm a dynamic driver. One moment I'm a hoonigan when I'm alone and no traffic, but when there's traffic, I'm slow and steady.
i've been a tourist driver here in the Philippines for almost a year now, still trying to improve my driving so my passengers can have a better and more comfortable experience with me as their driver, most of the compliments i heard from them is "it didn't feel like a long drive, i slept soundly and didn't feel like im inside a car." i know this ain't good enough yet and i still want to keep improving. This skill is a lot more important than your passenger's comfort and experience, this can also make your car's system such as steering, braking, clutch, transmission, gearbox, underchassis and tires last much longer.
Smooth is Fast 👌Especially on Track! People often overdrive their car on a Track Day (asking far too much of it) ... Focussing on driving smoother will usually be faster. Good video mate!
I actually have a track video that nobody watched :D
first video i ever watched must say love the content 👍

Driving for 1.5yrs (I’m sure there’s more for me to learn).
I’ve been driving like this but didn’t know it’s “dynamic” driving. On my drive to work, I encounter different types of roads and adapt my driving style accordingly. Love getting on the dual carriageway and driving spiritedly.
I set myself a target of smoothly braking, my instructor said to pretend I had a cup of coffee on the dashboard that I didn’t want to spill.
That’s a good tip about the coffee however if you ever do make a mistake or someone around you makes a mistake, don’t be afraid to spill that coffee everywhere lol. Better braking too hard than not hard enough.
I'm getting close to 1.5 years as well and I feel like this was my driving style from the first time I sat behind the wheel. I'm more on the aggressive side of driving, but not in a way that ever endangers other motorists. Honestly I see myself as a bit of a natural at driving. Before I had ever driven I had a pretty good idea of what it would be like driving, and turns out I was completely right. Even a full year ago you wouldn't have known that I had barely had my license for 4 months. Really not trying to toot my own horn here, I'm only basing this off of what I have seen with other driving school students and other drivers in general.
You have been driving for 1.5 years and think you have more to learn, are you joking?
You know absolutely nothing a bout driving, you simply haven't the experience!
After 43 years of driving I am still learning, and I used to teach people to drive
professionally.
In 20 years you may be a good driver, with the correct attitude and experience
@@K9V1After 1.5 years it sounds you are arrogant
You drive aggressively but you think you are not dangerous, well a lot of people think this!
@@jpldriver I definitely don’t. I know exactly how to drive lol, it’s as easy as walking. It’s been close to two years now and I can count on both hands how many times someone has honked at me. Never got a ticket, never been in an accident. You just don’t like the fact that someone with less experience can be a better driver. It’s just natural for some people.
Every single day I see people making illegal turns, speeding, driving up one-way streets and so on. I don’t do any of that. And that is because I look like whatever you imagine a stereotypical criminal to look like, so I know that I’m much more likely to get pulled over/fined than most other drivers. I take extreme precaution and care when driving so as to *not* get pulled over, again, because I drive a BMW and look like someone who might be a criminal. Just the way things are.
if only more people could drive like this..!
great video man loved it

Lol this is so true. My mother in law always wants me to drive her places because she says everyone else drives crazy. Little does she know I have fuel in my blood.
Love the videos, learning how to properly read corners and find the apex alongside braking techniques has been very useful. I was wondering what your camera setup is because you’ve got a really nice wide angle on the whole car without sacrificing the view or quality of the road ahead. I’d imagine a go pro of some sort possibly mounted to a shirt?
Thanks for the kind words!

I'm fairly new the car scene, I'm a senior in high school and for the past year or so cars have been a growing passion of mine, but only recently have i been researching more on cars. In the last two days I have watched more car videos than I have ever before, and let me say that this channel has been one of the most informative and engaging, such a wonderful way to teach people and I have learned more about being a better driver so thank you so much. I'm so glad I get to be here before this channel blows up even more in the car community. best of wishes to you, my friend.
Damn that's a - Proper Petrolhead Comment™ -
Glad to hear you're enjoying the channel! I'm not sure if you can drive at your age but you're going to have a lot of fun, I can tell :)
I didn't realise the 'limousine stop' was not a thing. I was taught to drive like that. However, having recently bought my first auto, it's actually impossible due to the stop / start system. The engine cuts out before the car has actually stopped, so releasing pressure on the break causes it to start the engine again... which is horrible.
Check out the light at the bottom of the centre stack
Start/stop VERY OFF (I do turn it on when there's heavy traffic and I actually want it)
My car does the same thing. I must switch to neutral before the car comes to a complete stop to prevent the engine from starting and jerking me forward when I release pressure from the break pedal, or just disable auto start/stop altogether every time I start the car (it's a Subaru).
I never thought to switch it into neutral! That might have just been a HUGE help! Thank you
@@MickDrivesCars My car doesnt have auto start/stop but I shift into neutral when stopping anyways cause it makes limo stopping a lot easier. Just gotta be careful doing it uphill cause you can start slowly rolling back and not feel it.
I always thought this is the most correct way to drive. Not to drive like a grandma and be afraid of every single vehicle on the road and stopping behind it miles away thinking you're too close, yet not drive like you think you're Vin Diesel and accelerate like a moron every green light you see. There's perfect balance between the two as demonstrated here: you commute with traffic and the road the way you commute with your car. You accelerate good enough to make sure no one cuts you off the road, yet you don't push it too hard and get close to the car infront of you.
Not enough love for the Dynamic Grandma Doris 🤣. There's driving enjoyment to be had at all speeds.
Should stop watching these videos before bed, makes me wanna get up to drive my car.
the most true video I've watched
I like driving fast and slow.
After a long 10 hour day of work i just drive slowly to home, maybe passing one very very slow car from time to time.
But in the mortning, when i'm full of energies, sometimes i just drive fast... i can't control it... it's fun!
And of course i drive fast on the hills in week ends!
I mean, my Jaguar is amazing for going both slow and fast!

I agree a lot with the track day, I did a skill day in IAM in a race circuit, not to speed "race" that is not the idea, only to be out of comfort zone, and learn balance the car and the grip of the car in bends. I overtake a lot drivers without need to go so fast, pure technique in bends, my car was the slowest one LoL, Really worth it and improve your confidence. now dynamic driver. Maybe a good example are the ambulance drivers. in a normal driver will be someone who adapt to the condition of the road and take advantage "the ones who can read the road", it is not like drive all the time same style. "example drive like grand mum in a car parking , in town is what we expected, and more smooth in country road etc. I think you will look more professional when you talk do not move your left hand. and keep them on the steering wheel, etc. your tips are good, You explain indirectly the brake technique "good", the 3 FFF Feel, "brake pads touching the discs", Firm "actually braking smoothly", Fade "like almost stopping in a traffic light. I agree, why brake like maniac in the last moment an why accelerate like crazy in green light. The cup of tea on the dashboard must not spill. if your passengers, they fall asleep, you are good driver.
random tip: learn how to reverse from the side mirrors, and don't look at the center mirror or don't turn your torso back. Sometimes you drive with a lot of stuff and the rear window is completly blocked and you will be confused when you have to reverse and can't see backwards
Years of riding motorbikes means I often forget the centre mirror exists
When you harness the beast, you can keep both is growl and it's purr.
This is how I drive. Look as far as possible, use traffic to your advantage, dont brake when not necessary (=fun) and dont take your mood out onto others.
Adhd/autism also helps.
I agree everything you've said. But there's one more thing you missed which, by the way, you can't even demonstrate... and that is, changing gears with stick shift, dynamicly... This is one important part of dynamic driving, with stick shift. Many drivers lack smoothness of changing gears on manual. Cheers! Keep up a good work mate.
Another great video, I wanted to ask what kind of courses have you done to become a driver like yourself? Different track days, courses etc? I want to learn everything you know
Thank you!
I've done a few trackdays, I started the official institute of advanced motorists course but never finished it as it was exceptionally boring (I know, I know... I should really finish it)
Really most of my knowledge came from having a series of massive motorcycle accidents and wanting to improve my driving. So I watched a lot of youtube, read a lot of books and used a lot of common sense.
Had to double take at the start, I know that place! Some fun roads around much wenlock too.
Haha :)
I'll have a look on google maps. Hit me up on insta if you want to go for a drive someday
@@MickDrivesCars That would be cool, I don't use insta though :)
crazy i never knew limo stopping was a thing, was natural for me
Also to add to this, I remember during my drivers lessons I stopped once so smoothly you couldn’t feel the car jerk and when I got to like sub 5 mph she stomped on the brakes and I freaked out like why did you do that. She said I thought you weren’t stopping. I was like I just hate feeling the jerk. She said well don’t do that on my car. Like what? Lol
Mick, you might wanna put a NOPE sticker at 5:59 for a few seconds.
When it's not super egregious I like to leave it in... feels honest.
I probably should NOPE it for my own safety.
I tried to cooperate this in my driving. Im typing from heaven now.
I've only been driving for 1.5 years but I already drive really dynamically for a well over half a year already. Without ever having heard or thought too much about it. Just drive with your brains
You would have enjoyed the old Formula Finesse course when it existed. Be very careful transferring from track day to road, as the two environments are so dissimilar. Low grip surfaces, handling courses and similar can offer far more accessible learning for the average road driver.
I have an ask.
Im kinda new to cars and dont know much about them when it comes to technical specs. Would be amazing if you were to make a vid/two talking about different metrics in specifications and maybe talking about why youd want one thing over another.
E.G: what is HP and BHP, what slip disk diff is and why would i want one in my car, turbos, etc.
Here you could even do a 2nd part to this and do a vid on some of the most common mods people do to their cars and talk about them.
I am a newby when it comes to driving in general, but at the same time I really enjoy driving and going towards the "spirited" driver route; learning about all things on ur channel is already doing wonders for my safety and the suggestion above would IMO be really helpful.
Absolutely loved this suggestion mate, it brought up a whole category of videos I hadn't thought about!
It's on my list and you'll see it in the next month or two. Legend. Thank you.
@@MickDrivesCars looking forward to it 🔥
watching F1 onboards explains all ;)
Pretty easy to calculate "Nope" from revs before and after :)
No officer I promise I was doing an indicated 65mph which is really 60mph
It feels fantastic, when after months and years of refining your craft, you literally enjoy your own driving. And when a passenger compliments you... mm-hmm.
But it is also a curse, since you become hypersensitive to other drivers being reactive and quite crap (which are most)
I’d like to mention, the way you hold the wheel from below when cruising shows confidence, control and composure. None of this hold the top of the wheel with one hand at all times to look cool.
Thanks mate :)
Sup Mick, just a general question, your a/c is always on in every video, is it like a random thing u forget or u purposly turn it on despite outside weather? Greets
The Megane defaults to on, even when you have the heat on. I think it helps reduce condensation on the inside glass, so I've just left it alone - car seems to know what it's doing if I leave everything on auto and just tweak the temp.
Really nice and useful video, I had a question. What is the maximum speed you can do on a motorway without getting caught by a speed camera?
I do 77mph all the time right through the camera and I've never gotten a ticket.
Use at your own risk.
When I see 5, 6.. cars ahead, with 0.2 sec between them, I call it 'a little train', and I have no other option than leave a gap, and put a transmission in a lower gear (better for keeping distance and quicker stop if needed). For all cost I want to avoid a posible domino crash.
Grandmother Doris, would've made the turn signal there 6:45 mate.
Please don't do this! The only thing it can possibly achieve is making someone think you're turning onto a side road and confusing them.
You're going around the car but you're continuing straight on - don't indicate.
There was also nobody around to benefit from it, but that's a different point completely.
I was blessed with being naturally good at driving, even people that are generally car sick that sit in the same car I drive, completely forget they're in a car, yet at the same time are impressed how fast we got to the destination.
I have the talent of somehow driving fast yet smooth at the same time. I somehow always end up being behind generally much faster cars in my 2011 Dacia Logan, and it always baffles me how jerky they brake and how late they pull on the steering wheel going in a corner, and they're somehow still in front of me slowing me down, despite passengers in my car feeling like in a limo.
I’m a dynamic driver since I drive with my family half of the time
Finally I found some that drives like me
Not to hype myself up ( I am lol) I clicked on this video thinking that I was a pretty decent driver and I'm happy to say that over the years I've integrated all of these skills into how I drive
Limousine breaking is easier to do on manual transmission than on dry clutch automatic as you need to keep your foot gently on the brake. On a Tesla, with one-pedal driving, you need to keep your foot down on acceleration just lightly until you stop.
100%!
I've been experimenting with sticking it into neutral coming up to a stop to nail the limousine stop and it works quite well. Might do a video about it.
@@MickDrivesCars it took me a couple of weeks to get used to driving smoothly my A6 C6 2.0 tdi multitronic as I've driven not that many automatic transmission vehicles.
I had a Tesla Model 3 dual motor for a week and it was nice to drive and easy to learn.
On my A6 I need to learn to properly drive fast in sport mode. It is a little bit jerky (250k km with some minor mechanical problems) and I drive it mostly in the drive.
Another thing I had to get used to was the delay from the accelerator pedal press and the moment it took off. Also had trouble with the breaking pedal being very sensible compared to my old car.
I have driven 12k km so far in half a year from when I bought it and I am still learning.
A few weeks ago, I drove my old a4 1.9 TDI manual which was my daily for 10 years and I am much more comfortable both driving fast and slow as I drove it for 200 000km.
I know most tricks when it comes to driving, but at the same time, practice makes it perfect. I am constantly aware of my driving testing things out and practicing.
Keep up the good work on the channel!
In the UK there are three national driving rubbish: tailgating, hard acceleration and hard breaking. ....and servicing your car every 12k miles.
I daily some shitty 11th gen civic hatch and it’s funny to chauffeur stop to turn into an onramp where I’ll VTEC all the way to 80 when I actually merge in lmao, best way to confuse the hell out of passengers not used to this stuff
I like your content so far Mick, what I've seen of it. As an ADI, I agree with your assessment that you need to be really good at driving slowly, considerately and with precision before driving in a more spirited fashion. However, I'd really caution against your language here; 'aggressive driving' is not something that should EVER be seen on a public road. I teach 'progressive' driving by default, which means driving to the speed limit where suitable, depending on conditions and ability. This has to be paired with 'defensive' driving, which is often misunderstood. It should be driving in a manner which avoids danger by constantly anticipating other road users, changes in road conditions/camber bends etc. BUT also recognizing your own limitations and not putting yourself into situations you're simply can't cope with.
I love these videos but I'm a new driver and not from the UK and the left-hand driving screws with my head way too much lmao. Does anyone feel the same? Does it get better with time?
Speaking of limousine stopping. Have you tested a Crossover (SUV) car? I own the Skoda Karoq - kind of compromise between SUV and the hatchback. I like it of course, and sometimes I have a spirit too, it would be a spirit of a bus though. No joking, just think of London bus drivers (I've been to London several times). They are exemplar of spirituality, big but smooth, precise and agile at the same time.
Anyway, among driving elements I can't reproduce on Karoq, is jerk-free stopping. No matter how hard I try. Even if it moves extremely slow, after full stop it "stands up" and leans back, which feels like a jerk. I think it is a SUV suspension to blame. Like if there was a play in mechanism which reveals when you change your state from moving to stop.
Maybe in those examples you were an SUV passenger too?
If it's an auto it can be very hard to do a smooth stop. As you ease off the brake coming to a full stop the car will start to try and creep forward again. It's a difficult balance to strike.
I still don't get it right every time in my car. I think soft suspension probably exaggerates it too.
Oh, thank you for the idea, I'll experiment with semi-manual mode. I mean, manual mode on automatic transmission.
Just had a comment from another viewer that might be helpful!
Try switching the car into neutral as you're coming to a stop - this will prevent the car trying to take off as you release pressure on the brake.
@@MickDrivesCars I have tried this and confirm. Neutral mode before braking really makes difference here. Just manual mode didn't help - same behavior. But neutral behaves differently, almost smooth, as clutch is excluded from the action. The tiny remnant of taking off I attribute to SUV as a platform - it's center of mass is higher, tyres are thicker, and there is a little of play in everything when you change direction of force or movement. The reason why smooth application of brakes or accelerator works better - to work out play before applying greater force.
It doesn't mean I'm going to use Neutral at every stop, of course, this would be non-practical. But at least I know.
weird one but nice seeing this on roads i personally know 🤣
No way! Hit me up on insta I need some car friends, just moved here
