@@Whosoever141 what difference does it make if he knows he / she / them personally or not??!!… So what?… are you saying that if you see somebody that you’ve never met before struggling with a physical or emotional problem you just gonna walk by because you don’t know them personally? That just doesn’t make sense and it certainly is not of a good character of being a good person! I think you better sit in a dark quiet place and reevaluate your thinking!! so it sounds to me like you probably never give to charities because you don’t know the people personally… Is that the case?

My dad used to say that it's never wrong to do the right thing. And helping someone like that young girl is the right thing. You just know she bought that truck because she knew it was a truck her Dad would have loved, so helping her to retain that connection to him is a wonderful gesture. God bless you, Eric and Mrs O

As tragic as it is do die in such an accident, it can be worse. I started a different job in 1999 and a mechanic at the plant had a pine fall in his back yard and wedge in another tree. He was trying to cut it down while his family went Christmas shopping. They came home and found him collapsed in the back yard with a limb lying nearby. This was on a Friday and by Monday he was able to move his left arm and that was it. His wife had to quit work to care for him, buy a specialized van for a wheelchair, etc. Our health insurance had million dollar limit at the time and they maxed that out in a couple of years. Fundraising was done but they nearly lost their house before he passed away about 4 years after the accident. He was in his early fifties I believe. I agree that Eric is a very good man and I enjoy his thorough explanations as he diagnoses.

He was a logger and a small branch hit him in the head and even though he was wearing the proper gear, it still took his life. I grew up and went to school with his 3 kids. You're a good man Eric O! The world needs more people helping people and I'm 100% positive the young lady's family appreciates what you're doing for her, including her father looking down on you. :) My Dad was a heavy mechanic his whole life (retired now) and taught me everything I know with the stipulation that I would never turn wrenches to earn a living. I have kept that promise but used the skills he taught me to work on my own vehicles (rebuild engines, build race motorcycles, etc) and help those that needed it or couldn't afford it. I have certainly run into messes like you show here and had to correct them but your skills far surpass mine.

Eric, ive been buying and fixing and selling and trading cars for many years now. And ive had my fair share of hack jobs. Ever since i found your channel a year ago, I've become very good at tracing circuits down and finding issues. Especially on GMT800 trucks. I use butt connectors and Super 33...have for years. Summit racing makes some of the best connectors ive ever found. Im not a professional when it comes to electrical, never will be. If someone has an issue with the way you fix something, they can hit the road. There is nothing wrong with the way you fix things. And ive learned so much from your videos. I can't thank you enough.
And im sure that young lady's father is happy that you're fixing her truck and he's smiling down on you and her. I teared up a little bit hearing the story. Thank you for sharing. You're a wonderful person.

In a way it troubles me when I see people like Eric ☹️. God is about to judge this country, and many will not understand exactly why until Christ is revealed from heaven. It is people like this man that I am troubled for...

Eric, I lost a good friend in a similar accident 27 years ago, young family like mine at the time , you never get over it. You are so correct about life being unfair.
You are a great man and friend to be so caring and thoughtful. Keep up the good work !

Hard enough to work on old cars, but when you see that wiring - you're fighting blind, one handed, while someone shoots at you. You're a good man for helping out someone who's suffering.

You are a great person to help this girl/family out. I can tell it’s tough to think about what happened. I’m sure her father would approve of you doing the work over anyone else.

This is small town America at its finest, friends and family helping friends and family where you really can't even tell friends from family. This is how it was it ways supposed to be.
I hope this video explodes and advances the channel because it's well deserved.

You are a good man Eric.
I lost my youngest brother when he was 22 years old with two little girls 5 and 2. Those girls are grown with families of their own now, but those heartstrings definitely get pulled hard sometimes when tough things happen.
Stepping in for someone who has lost their dad is a big deal even if it's only once in a while, especially when you know that missing dad.
At least this young lady has you to be a helping hand.😉🤙

Morning Eric, I'm glad it's not just me that blows up wiring diagrams, normally print them out on 4 sheets of A4 to make an A3 size poster. Far easier to trace wires on. Better than blowing up a screen on a lap top. Great video, more my type of work.

If you're working off a laptop, you can get a USB-to-4K video gadget and a 4k big screen TV, both pretty cheap and very satisfactory! But sometimes paper is better and you can write on it.

Wow they say life is too short and you never know whats round the corner. I have just had my brush with fate . One heart attack and then needed a Quadruple heart bypass surgery at the age of 50. Eric O & Mrs O you are a lovely couple and friends are lucky to have you.
