It was nice of you to get your wife in on the fix/vid, makes it feel she is apart of the effort too...I know she helps with normal customers' cars but this one was special and close to home and for a dear friend's daughter. It hit my heart, especially at the end...gone too soon.
I love it! You highly suspected that the intermittent fuel pump issue was still there. From the video content I also suspected the same. So, Eric O. puts his own feet on the line by driving it until failure so that he could get to the bottom of the problem. So glad there are good people like you and Mrs O in the world. @ 40:30 RIP old son, Eyes got to watering, because this man was too damn young to leave, thank you much for repairing this young woman's truck. Eric you are a Hero. Because her Hero is gone.
I really like how this video was produced. Really think it was awesome how you rode that truck out and faded into a memoriam for the father thats no longer with us. This is a very special video, thank you Eric and Mrs. O!
Being a strip cutting logger in my past, it struck a cord with me hearing about the man's accident and the dangers of logging.. You did an awesome job figuring out the issues with that ladies Dodge. I found it odd that someone had removed the relays and hot wired them instead. Glad you figured it out... Nice work Cheers
The length of these videos, already edited and condensed, makes me feel better after taking about 6 or 8 hours to fix a family member's 9 rodent-chewed wires. Unlike this RAM, there the main problem was that everything was hard to reach both from under the car and from the engine bay. It is also always fun when you fix something, one code goes a way and 4 more appear.
The world needs more good and caring people like Mr. and Mrs. O. When I need more reaffirmation about the good in people I always come back to watch one of your videos. I always learn something about car repair and more importantly about kindness and consideration for others.
It's nice to see someone else deal with a wiring mess. I just spent 3 days rewiring a door activated suspension drop system on a 2012 ambulance. Of course, it malfunctioned directly after an engine swap where the cab was removed.... another great video. Thank you.
I enjoy watching others helping out others. I work 2 jobs and 7 days a week but I still am willing to help anyone who needs it. A few weeks ago I spent 2 days after I got off at 4pm, changing a coworkers brakes because they bought a cheap jeep that didn't have good brakes. It took 2 days because the parts place sold them the wrong pads, and they had to go get them from a different store the next day. Keep up the good work Eric O!
About half way through I coulda sworn you were going to tag in a rat to help sort out the rat's nest. Best advice from Mrs. O for everybody in the last video - it is ok to cry. We all appreciate you Eric doing the best you can leading by example with humor and determination. That keeps us coming back and cheering you on
Great video! So glad you were able to help the young lady! Really like it when Mrs. O comes by and especially when she's your videographer! You two are a great pair!
I wish I could like a video more than once. Man you remind me so much of working with my father. The running commentary, the old car knowledge (if you see fire crank it), doing the job right even though nobody would know or care if you didn't, and helping out friends. I can't thank you enough for that. Oh yeah and Mrs. O is a national treasure.
Great video as always! The spark at16:00 was probably the charging of the filter capacitors in the PCM. Once changed they'll hold for a bit... hence, no repeat spark. Great job!
I taught a recent graduate from a tech school on how to have patience. Shut the hood, go sit down and have a cup of coffee. Figure out what you need to do... then go open the hood.
Eric, this video shows more than truck repair, it shows what kind of a person you are. You have my greatest respect for fixing that truck for your friend. God bless you!
One of your best videos! This is so mechanical/old school. Makes me want to junk anything above a 79 model. You are so good at trouble shooting the new ECM/PCM based cars and it over most of our heads. However, you make trouble shooting seem practical through your explanations. Keep them coming!
Your Friend IE your fallen Brother is Proud of you for taking care of his Baby Girl…He will be forever in Debt to you because the Love does go with you. 🤘🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You have the best damned channel I've ever seen on TH-cam. Bar none. Quality people, quality work. And there ain't anything outside your wheel house! RIP Jessie - Your pal Eric has things well in hand!

I watched the whole computer industry revolutionize The auto repair industry. I like you knew I had to get really educated in the computer and electronics field if I was to survive. Your work on this truck brings back many memories of fixing many a vehicle that other garages didn't even want to touch. Watching you is like me looking in a mirror as to what I did for 40 years. I am proud to say people like you and me made a big difference in peoples lives just doing what we did. I am retired now for almost 5 years and I have to tell you, i miss many of my great customers, but I absolutely do not miss the daily stress and pressure I was under to get peoples cars back on the road. Great job on your successful business and keep the great videos coming.

Your definitely giving Scotty a run for his money.I think your much better at explaining everything.awesome video brought tears to my eyes you definitely make it real.
The lovely Mrs. O, again, adds a twist to the video. She had to mention the "nakedness all the time". Between the "choppin it off, dees nutz and now the nakedness" I wonder if you two live wearing loin clothes around your home. LOL. Joking aside, these two videos are a tribute to the type of people you really are. BIG HEARTS! Great work for us viewers to learn from AND giving to your community. I want to encourage all of your viewers to repat watching these two videos and help increase any revenue possible to help offset the costs of this repair. God bless the O family.
Eric, that wiring looks a heck of a lot better than when that truck came in. Keep up the great work. And your wife is doing a excellent job as a camera lady.
You're a good man Eric, the 1st brand new vehicle I bought myself was a Dodge Power Ram 250 back in 91, with a 360 in it, I had it for 10 years and it never gave me any engine problems. I traded it in for a 2001 for a brand new quadcab. Which that one I had for 14 years and that only gave a/c compressor problems once. Watching this video sure brought me back memories. Thanks, they sure don't make trucks like they used to.

You are the man we all should strive to be.!
Thanks Mrs. O. for filming! Outstanding cinematography!
Great video as always! The spark at16:00 was probably the charging of the filter capacitors in the PCM. Once changed they'll hold for a bit... hence, no repeat spark. Great job!
OMG, you are incredibly patient! You inspire us DIY vehicle repair home repair guys. Thank you for this video.
Continue to rest in heavenly peace Mr. Slayton. Continued blessings to his family. Great post Mr. O, thanks
Exceptional work for an old truck. Electrical work seems like it’d be more mind exercising than your usual brake jobs.
i wish there where more people like you Eric this world would have been a better place
You have the best damned channel I've ever seen on TH-cam. Bar none. Quality people, quality work. And there ain't anything outside your wheel house! RIP Jessie - Your pal Eric has things well in hand!
Mrs O is a very good videographer and the old man can find his way around a wiring harness. Excellent episode
I owned and operated an auto repair facility for 40 years. From 1978 thru 2018. I thought I was the only dinosaur left, until I watched you. I watched the whole computer industry revolutionize
The auto repair industry.
One of the best videos I have seen with honesty, human passion, and a character of a person who truly is a role model for human kind !.you have a good soul Eric .
Your definitely giving Scotty a run for his money.I think your much better at explaining everything.awesome video brought tears to my eyes you definitely make it real.
Been waiting for part 2. Thanks Eric.
