I’m so glad this video popped up as suggested. I watched 4-5 other channels videos on how to do this, and none of them stuck. They all worked it what seemed “backwards” to me. You’re the only one I’ve seen working towards yourself so that helped so much!
This was incredibly satisfying to watch! Knitting itself is quite hypnotizing, but your voice and the way you explained it so calmly made me feel super relaxed! It also made me super happy to realize that knitting on DPNs is not as difficult as I thought it was!
Easy to understand and your voice is so calming that I don’t feel stressed learning how to switch from circulars to DPN’s for the first time! Thanks so much, I’m now subscribed to your channel ❤️
THANK YOU! I'm just learning how to use double-pointed needles and this was so helpful! (I'd gotten to the fourth needle and realized I had no idea what to do with it!)
Thank you, you are very easy to understand and I am just starting to work with the double pointed needles as finishing on the top of my hats and how much easier it is to watch you. I had actually stopped making hats on the circular needles because I got to the top and didn't have enough room to finish them off so now I am very happy that I can finish them and they will look very professional finished. I subscribed to you so will always come to your video's when I need help.
Ty so so so much for this video!! I have been all over TH-cam trying to figure out how to switch over to dpns and I finally fell on your video thank goodness!!! I have been knitting for only about three months just a simple knit and purl stitch or just hats on circular needles . Now that I finally got this I am hoping I can figure out some new stitches . I was wondering if you could make a video actually on a hat with circular needles but in the hat I want to place a hole every other stitch and don't know how to do it . Do I yarn over then knit two together. I hope I didn't confuse you I wish I could show you a picture of what I mean .
This is great thanks. However I tried this and I seem to have somehow reversed my pattern. The garter stitch is now showing on the right side instead abd the stockinette stitch is showing in the inside. What did I do wrong please?
After many years of knitting hats on circulars yours is the very best tutorial I have ever seen.

Very helpful, thanks!
Nice video! What size are those dp needles?
For the bulky weight yarn I am using in the video, I used size US 11 (8mm) double point needles.
Thank you!

I found your video extremely helpful but it loses audio at about five minutes. Can you remedy?
I'm not talking during that portion.
This is great thanks. However I tried this and I seem to have somehow reversed my pattern. The garter stitch is now showing on the right side instead abd the stockinette stitch is showing in the inside. What did I do wrong please?
You probably started going the wrong direction and knit on the inside of the hat instead of the outside, so the purl side is showing.
Thank you! knityourselfhappy
I always seem to have a ugly space when switching needles. Never seem to have the right tension. Please help…….
I address that in the video...
