There are actually two versions of the monitor down on the site, the older version and the revised version - the revised version does have down fill running all the way to the bottom, and a double zip But they got rid of the goretex pro outer layer, despite the insulation reaching to the bottom it has the same amount of down (so its more distributed and thus less warm) and it has a more relaxed fit. The zipper is also exposed. I think it feels cheap overall, I'm not a fan
@@FinancialFitness8 no, not really, for some reason algorythm decided I need to watch it. I enjoyed the video 👍 but I liked the coat btw, would consider buying it in the future
Thanks for watching! I'd say if you normally buy arcteryx, get your normal size. It also depends on how fitted you want it to look. I'd say try it on in a store if you're near a store or size down for a fitted look or size up if you want the ability to wear a base layer and sweater under the jacket. I personally don't think I need to wear anything other than a base layer, but that's my preference. Hope this helps you decide.
@@relaxationchannel9458 They have a new revised version, where the down goes all the way down, the new version is fits a lot bigger, you need to size down if you choose the new version
Hi. What's your height and weight? You mentioned you're wearing a size small, but you didn't mention your height or weight for context. Thanks for the awesome video!
Hey Im thinking of getting this coat, I’m 5’10 160lb, was wondering if I should go for S or M? What do you think? (Since its from the outlet I can’t return it)
I think you've got to find somewhere to try it on, but based on my height/weight vs yours, I'd guess you'd find a medium to be more comfortable. What size are you normally with arcteryx?
@@FinancialFitness8this would be my first arc coat, I tried the ralle down parka and S fit better than M so thats what Im leaning for. Thats also true for the 2024 monitor jacket (except S was still too large bc of the relaxed fit haha, hoping the 2023 will fix it)

Yep, the version you're talking about is the 2024 version which I didn't want. A double zipper would be nice though.
The pockets are also much nice from previous version
Nice video man!
Thanks for watching! Were you considering buying 1?

Look at the sizing chart online. I'm the same size, weight and went with the large. Depends on your body shape or frame.
