    Great info thx for the upload. I just warrantied a Camosun Parka after 5 years of use because of some premature wear and a busted zipper. It was a great jacket and would of got another but it's been discontinued. Make sure you keep your original receipt for warranty purposes. They gave me the whole amount including tax back which was great. I have now taken your advice and purchased a Cermium hoodie and also a Alpha SV shell in Black 24k. There is not much stock @ the moment of new insulated waterproof jackets in black unfortunately so I went your recommend route waiting and delivery this week. Keep up the good work 👍

    Unfortunately the Cerium LT is discontinued which is why it is only sold in the outlet. The 2022 Cerium is actually has more down and has a stronger nylon shell.

      Cerium ‘22 descriiption literally states revised Cerium LT. So yes, the LT version, just better. And than the Cerium SV is now even warmer and better as well.

      @@ainjuhl4509that’s factually untrue. If you actually compare the specs of the previous vs current revised jackets; the revised jackets are worse. It’s not just about fill, but the amount of fill. The new ones once calculated for amount is less

    One comment of fill power. My first really warm down jacket contained 23 ounces of 550 fill power down. It was made by the original Gerry Sportswear and was called the super sweater. I wonder how it would compare warmth wise to the current selection of down jackets and parkas on the market.

    • @FinancialFitness8
      @FinancialFitness8  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's quite a bit of down weight with 23 ounces. It must have been fairly heavy to wear also. It sounds warmer than a fair amount of down jackets these days, though now most down jackets use 650 or 750 down fill, but less weight. It's hard to compare without exact details.

      @@FinancialFitness8 It weighed just over 3 lbs. It would be like wearing a RAB Asylum down jacket (without the hood) over a RAB Kinder Smock.

      @@FinancialFitness8 thank you for letting me know so fast, I was gonna get a size small but I’m 5’4 and going with the Xs

    • @FinancialFitness8
      @FinancialFitness8  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No problem. I can actually wear either XS or small, but the small just feels like I can wear 1 other layer under it for me personally. Hope you like the new cerium LT, I saw they updated a couple small things like the zipper pulls

    What size did you go with?

    • @FinancialFitness8
      @FinancialFitness8  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I went with a small. The extra small was a bit short in length and didn't give me any room to move or layer inside the jacket.

    What sizd u get? For cerium lt, Im stuck between medium and large, im 5'11 160 pounds but I like to layer and little loose

      I got a small for myself. Try them on in a store and see which size works for you. You can probably go with either medium or large without an issue.

    How much warmer is the SV compared to the LT?

    • @FinancialFitness8
      @FinancialFitness8  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on which versions you're comparing, but the 2 that I have, I find that with the SV I can personally stay super warm until about 0-15 degrees in just a base layer under it. The LT I can stay warm until about 30-40 degrees with just a base layer. I'd say it's not quite twice as warm, but the difference in down weight is significant.

    How do down compare to primoloft

    • @FinancialFitness8
      @FinancialFitness8  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Primaloft is synthetic. Most synthetic insulation breaks down after about 5-7 years depending on how heavily it's used. Down in comparison can last substantially longer if it's well maintained and will be slightly warmer overall if you're comparing a similar amount of insulation for each.

      @@FinancialFitness8 wow didn't know that now I'm regretting buying this Ralph Lauren parka it's primoloft gold

    • @FinancialFitness8
      @FinancialFitness8  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In comparison, the synthetic insulation jacket is probably cheaper. Wear it for however long it lasts. When it starts feeling not as warm, then switch to something that's down fill. Or return it if you still can, up to you.
