We use them on the street all the time and my son is using one on the street in his 1989 Dodge truck with a 408 stroker but don't recommend driving it in the rain until you get Use to driving it with that valve body in it
I have built many of those transmission from 904 to 727 to A500 and A518 and A618 and I think you need about 2 or 3 coats of epoxy primer on that car then block it real good
Wth color. If you have no issues with non mopar colors. I really like the dark dark green that gm put on their cars mid 90s. But I style say god awful gold Plymouth 1969 with black everything else lol. WAIT. I got it. Copy the nocho cuda it would be priceless!
I think the only reason they say not for street use, is because if you don't shift them while under a load, it makes the trans sound like its banging shit around in there. Its been few years since I have had one, but I want to say if you always make sure your above 3k rpms and on the gas up shifting you will be fine which is easy enough to do. You just don't want to drive it like a grandma. LOL
I drove cheetah valve body on the street for years with out any problems , So if I slipped it into 1st gear while cruising it will send your converter into a huge stall like a trans brake does. and if you know to lif foot off of gas then you can not do any harm . never did I do a drag race burn out in 1st gear as told (Sacred no no for mopar transmission longetivity is what i was told) Now my question is this. Are all of the nay sayers about the cheetah brand just for preventing a mishap or do the valve bodies cause damage? seem to be follow instructions thing like hydraulic lifters

My dad had an 81 Grand Fury police special, pretty sure it had a high stall converter from the factory. Anyone know about those?
It could have a "high stall" sticker on the converter, good for a hot street car.

I vote For COOL MINT! Really doesn't matter what color you paint it, that new valve body is Bound to rip the paint off on every shift!
