- This is how i repaired the gear stick on my Fordson Major, it had a lot of rotation on the gearstick due to wear in the pin and the slot. This caused the gearstick to trap my fingers against the fuel tank and the seat when changing gear.

Nice repair, you have very good skills. I'm trying to keep three old ford 8n tractors running and it is always something that needs to be fixed.
There is always something to do to them if you use them. Better to use them, than have them as museum pieces in my opinion. Keep them working 😀
another job crossed of the list good work lisa👍
Have to get use to it now. The gears are close together now. Hit second instead of reverse sometimes if i am not careful 🤣
My first family tractor was Fordson super major 1962
I am from Iraq 🇮🇶
Great machines 😀 welcome to the channel
Was just responding to the guy from Iraq, who tells his first family tractor was a Fordson '62 , and I didn t know what a family tractor is, maybe one he inherited or bought from uncle?, never mind, just traded a MF 35 X for a Ferguson 20 and a '63 Super Major with construction forklift behind myself, and just made a cab from steelpipes and low profile roof steelplates, which will make and preserve a better inner climate for controls and what have we behind the vindows, well right now we have a totally stuck diff lock pedal that has to come loose and of course the axle seals that are non existent right now, just did new spindles and bushings, 3,5 mm s of wear on the old ones, but they can be welded and turned down to specs., front is rusted too, so must be patched with new plate here and there, engine runs well, but think will control injection tips for atomizing the fuel, bet noone ever did, another gearlever came with the tractor which is better but not perfect, might repair the old one which twisted a lot, thank you.
Yes family tractor is usually owned by another family member before you get it. Sounds like you have done a lot of work to your machine, and have a few jobs still to do 😀 thank you for taking to time to comment.
Tbh what we do is use a allen head screw/bolt and weld/grind the gearstick to suite the head
Fair doos Lisa, another great video. And you got your hands grubby this time lol
The time had to come to get my nails dirty. A girl can only stay clean for so lomg without protection 🥳
Family tractor?
