I WISH I NEVER STARTED! HYDRAYIC CYLINDER REBUILD FRONT LINKAGE ON FORDSON MAJOR TRACTOR

THE REPAIR ON THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS STARTS, NEW CYLINDER TUBES TODAY AND NEW PISTON RODS AND ASSEMBLY NEXT TIME. I REALLY WISH I NEVER STARTED THIS JOB AS THE TIME SPENT DID NOT JUSTIFY THE DIFFERENCE IN COST OF MATERIALS AGAINST NEW CYLINDERS (EVEN THOUGH THE NEW ONES ARE DIFFERENT LENGTH). ON THE PLUS I GOT SOME NEW TOOLING FOR MY LATHE AND THE EXPERIENCE. THE BEST BIT IS I CAN SAY THAT I MADE THEM!

Good question! long limbs ha ha never used to be this way but I guess I have learned to keep cleaner as I have got older. I pick and choose the jobs too.
