Pretty wild how what's currently one of Nintendo's most profitable IPs got it's start on the Wii U of all things.

And Switch's most sold videogame, MK8.
Maybe the Wii U didn't have as many games, but the few it did have were very good.
Grateful that Splatoon survived the Wii U era and established itself as a franchise.
I like how Japans first Splatoon commercial was really cool and then the US was just like

Their attemps to make a music video about splatoon in normal human languages was..... it was the song of all time, I'll say that

i remember seeing those commercials basically every day for weeks on cn
i think they promoted it on nickelodeon too, but they used to play it so often to the point where 12 year old me would turn the volume down every time lmaoooo

I thought that the Nintendo distributor in Poland only made commercials from 2016 only on 3DS and later on Switch

The singer oddly reminds me of Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls, just that tom-boyish voice that she has.
