Use boiled water from pasta, potatoes, carrots,rice...let it cool then use it to water your plants. All the nutrients in the boiled water...your plants will 💕 love!
I actually learned one I didn't know, thank you. And here is one I will share. When I am going to make rice in my steamer I rinse the rice first, However, I capture the water in a large bowl after rinsing and I use that rice water to water/feed my orchids, they LOVE it! In fact all my house plants do. Even my cactus and succulents too.
Ken in Florida Thanks for the great video. I've been combining ingredients that I used to throw away to make the ''Powerful Homemade Fertilizer' and using it on my indoor and outdoor plants. What a difference! They are all doing so much better, now. Good stuff. Looking for more knowledge in the future.
Glad to know I have been doing two out of three things good for my plants - though I confess without some of the special treatment of the eggshells in particular. I usually just crunch up the raw shells, mix them with the used coffee grounds and layer them around the shrubs - like the azaleas, blueberries and gardenia (Florida - lots of options!). Now I will add banana peels to the rotation outside, and fine tune the mess to use on my houseplants too! Thanks! Wish I had your energy to go with my enthusiasm ;-)
QUESTION: I drink roasted chicory instead of coffee most of the time, are those grounds also good for my plants? I mean, chicory is supposed to be much more nutrient-rich than coffee anyway...
you can freeze banana peels in a ziplock bag for up to 3 months...then I just keep in a jar of the dried out coffee grinds a dried out egg powder and then of use some banana water with the water in their
It should be good for awhile of you store it in the fridge, i would suggest if your worried about longevity add in aome cinnamon or a single drop of hydrogen peroxide, both of those will keep it from rotting snd in the case of the peroxide plants actually benefit from the extra oxygen molecule on it snd it promoted root growth
We would suggest to store the banana water up to 2 weeks in a closed jar in the refrigerator. If you notice an odor has developed, toss out the liquid and create a new batch. Let us know how it works for your plants!
@@GardeningknowhowOmygodness thanks for this tip. I was fermenting my banana peel in a tight lid glass container and stored it away in a dark cabinet for 3weeks. By the time I used it for plants, it had a strong odor but I didn't know that was a problem.
I've been throwing used coffee grounds, rinsed eggshells and banana peels into the compost. I'd like to try this though. I've never bought Epsom salts. I'm kind of embarrassed to have to ask: Where do you buy it? Supermarket, pharmacy, garden supply store or where?
What about if I drink instant coffee? I know, I know, it's pretty shit coffee but so easy....what can I use as a replacement for the Nitrogen component? Ideas, please. 😀
I don’t anybody that coffee grounds nowadays. We all have the capsules that gets disposed and it’s a pain to get them open up all one by one . Is it possible that I can used the coffee straight without it being gone through the coffee maker ?

I find this smart and funny. He makes every ingredient easy to remember - while entertaining! That's the best kind of 'informing'....

instead of soaking for six hours. is it a good idea to puree everything and then apply it to plants?
Thanks a bunch! I would never fall asleep watching this! Very helpful!
also how often should this be applied to plants?
Your advice is fantastic. But my autism wishes you'd do it in a quieter, more laid back way 😄

How long is this fertilizer water good for before you need to dump it?

Shy lee bouf' good info
Love your videos! How long can I store this mix? Do i need to keep it in the fridge? Or use the batch immediately and throw the rest out?

Yay! Thank you!
How often do you fertilize?
They should be fertilized lightly about once per month during the growing season only. This will depend on the needs of each individual plant as well.
This is great 👍🏽 going to do this.
Hi. I have a question. Add one Tbsp of used coffee ground, one tsp of epsom salt and banana peel into how many litres of water ? Thank you
This was so interesting. thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Don't be embarrassed, it's a great product for soaking your feet in too!. You will get in it most supermarkets!
Drug stores or Walmart
Imagine the coffee grounds and eggshell dust everywhere after he was done with this video
Love the info and the video thanks, these homemade fertilizer are cheap and easy to do.
What about if I drink instant coffee? I know, I know, it's pretty shit coffee but so easy....what can I use as a replacement for the Nitrogen component? Ideas, please. 😀
Can you use instant coffee?
No
Is this the same as fertilizer?
Yes, these methods can act just like a fertilizer.
I don’t anybody that coffee grounds nowadays. We all have the capsules that gets disposed and it’s a pain to get them open up all one by one . Is it possible that I can used the coffee straight without it being gone through the coffee maker ?
Aaany. Coffee shop will give you thorough coffee grounds, just ask. I get mine from Starbucks
Im always scared to try these things because I've heard they can cause mold and i constantly have a nat issue
So do you use all of these things together. Or would you just choose one?
Good advice from a noisy houseplant!!!
Does the eggs and banana water nutrient also work with plants that are in leca?☺️
Could I use cinnamon instead of coffee? I hate coffee lol
Cinnamon is terrific as a fungicide, pesticide and rooting agent!
@@Gardeningknowhow Dried cinnamon, too? Or, are you thinking cinnamon sticks, crushed or boiled or something?
What about using shells from the sea fro people who do not eat eggs but do have access to sea shells?
By setting the playback speed to 3/4 I find him just about watchable. Too much energy for me. Great info though.
